Chapter 182 The Night of Roar (1/2)

After a brief trailer, the second part of the MAMA Awards ceremony kicked off amidst ever-increasing anticipation.

The first award presented was for Best Male Dance Performance. The presenters were the dance team Dancing 9 from a popular dance competition show, who delivered a professional and impressive performance.

Ultimately, the award was once again given to one of the absolute stars of the night, GD, without any suspense.

Having performed on stage three times, he was already quite skilled and exuded a powerful aura.

Following that, South Korean comedian Yoo Se-yoon and Hong Kong actress Miriam Yeung went on stage together to present the award for Best Female Singer.

The winner is Ailee, who touched countless people with her amazing singing skills and her song "U&I".

The atmosphere on stage was immediately captivated by the two catchy and addictive songs.

First up was the Norwegian brother duo Ylvis, who became an internet sensation and graced the MAMA stage, bringing their catchy and addictive song, "The Fox's Call."

The quirky lyrics and comical performance captivated the entire audience.

Immediately afterwards, the newly awarded Crayon Pop took to the stage to perform "Bar Bar Bar".

The synchronized and energetic "cylinder dance" sparked a wave of imitations from the audience, with even many people in the artist section swaying gently to the rhythm. The catchy melody turned the venue into a large-scale joyful party.

After a tense trailer, actress Cha Ye-ryun gracefully took the stage to present the Asian Music Style Award to SISTAR, whose members have a sexy and healthy style.

Following this, a special international collaboration took place, featuring a joint performance by South Korean singer Park Jae-jung and Chinese singer Zhu Jiajia.

Following this, actors Jung Woo and Go Ara presented the Next Generation International Rising Star Award to A Pink, a girl group known for their pure and innocent style.

Meanwhile, the talented boy group INFINITE won the Sony MDR Global Performance Award, recognizing their influence on the international stage.

Jay Park's appearance brought the casualness and coolness of American hip-hop. He was in charge of presenting the International Most Popular Artist Award, which was given to Ylvis, who had just performed, recognizing the sensation they had caused on the global internet.

After a series of awards and diverse stages, the lights on the large screen at the venue suddenly dimmed.

A short video begins to play; this is a special teaser MV that EXO filmed specifically for this year's MAMA awards ceremony.

The visuals are in a somber black and white tone. The scene resembles an abandoned classroom or prison. The members are dressed in school uniforms, their expressions ranging from numb to struggling, each restrained in front of a desk by cold handcuffs.

The camera slowly pans across each young face burdened with constraints, creating a tense yet suspenseful atmosphere.

Suddenly, Ou Yangguang looked up sharply, his eyes as sharp as knives. He began to struggle violently, his arm muscles tensing. With a low growl that seemed to come from the depths of his soul, he actually smashed the handcuffs open and broke free!

Before he could catch his breath, he quickly grabbed the female lead (played by an actress) beside him, and amidst the shocked or encouraging gazes of the other members, he smashed through the obstacles and ran wildly toward the light outside the frame... The short film ends abruptly here, leaving endless suspense and a sense of impulsive urge.

This short film, brimming with storytelling and a spirit of rebellion, instantly raised the audience's expectations to the max! The screams almost broke the venue.

As the short film ended, the lights didn't fully come on. A rapid sound of running and breathing was amplified through the speakers.

Then, Ou Yangguang grabbed the female lead from the short film and ran wildly out from backstage, straight to the center of the stage!

The stage had already been set up as an extended backdrop for the short film, with two installation art pieces, made of discarded school desks and chairs stacked together like small mountains, standing on either side.
