The laughter of the staff gradually faded away, and only Ouyang Guang and Jin Zhiyuan were left on the street, with a flower basket and a bouquet of roses in their arms. The night wind blew gently, and it seemed that the faint fragrance of flowers was carried.
"I'll take you home." Ouyangguang held the flower basket, his voice gentler than usual.
Jin Zhiyuan looked down at the white rose in her arms, then looked up at him, her lips slightly raised: "Okay."
The two walked side by side on the sidewalk, their footsteps were particularly clear in the quiet night. Ouyang Guang's fingers unconsciously stroked the edge of the flower basket, and from time to time he glanced at Jin Zhiyuan beside him. Her profile looked particularly soft under the street light, and her eyelashes cast a light shadow.
"The flowers are beautiful." Kim Ji-won suddenly spoke, gently fiddling with the rose petals with her fingertips. "Thank you."
Ouyang Guang's ears blushed quietly: "I went to choose with the staff..." After a pause, she added, "But I chose the white roses and the bouquet packaging."
"Why white roses?"
"Because it symbolizes the beginning of purity..." he said in a calm voice.
Kim Ji-won paused and turned to look at him. Ouyang Guang immediately turned his head away, pretending to be very interested in the convenience store sign on the roadside, but his red ears betrayed him.
She couldn't help but chuckle: "So you are so good at talking?"
"No!" Ouyang Guang explained, "I just... tell the truth."
The night wind blew by, lifting Jin Zhiyuan's hair, and a strand of hair gently brushed against Ouyang Guang's arm, making him feel itchy. He subconsciously wanted to reach out and brush it away for her, but he hesitated the moment he raised his hand, and finally just put it down.
"The intersection has arrived." Kim Ji-won pointed ahead.
The platform was empty, with only the cold light from the advertising light boxes shining brightly. Ouyang Guang transferred the flower basket to his other hand and quietly took a small step towards Jin Zhiyuan.
"The car is coming." He reminded in a low voice.
Ouyang Guang followed Jin Zhiyuan onto the bus, but suddenly froze in front of the coin slot. He touched his pocket and looked up awkwardly: "Um... I don't have a bus card, and I don't have change..."
Kim Ji-won blinked, then took out her wallet from her bag: "It's okay, I'll pay for you." She put in two coins neatly, and the sound of metal collision was particularly crisp in the quiet carriage.
"Thank you..." Ouyang Guang's ears were hot, and he whispered. He followed behind Jin Zhiyuan, following like a lost child.
The two chose the two-person seat in the back row. Ouyangguang carefully sat down with the flower basket in his arms, his movements so stiff that it seemed like the first time he sat in the seat and it was not him but the bouquet of flowers that was in the seat.
The carriage was very quiet and empty, with only a few passengers. Ouyang stared at the backrest of the front seat, his fingers unconsciously stroking the edge of the flower basket. In the past, others took the initiative to talk to him, but now he was suddenly asked to start a conversation, and his mind went blank.
"This is my first time taking a bus." He suddenly spoke, sounding a little embarrassed.
Kim Ji-won turned her head and slightly widened her eyes: "In Korea?"
"Yeah." Ouyang Guang nodded, "Usually, I'm picked up by a driver..." He paused and added, "Otherwise, I take a taxi."
Kim Ji-won smiled softly: "Today is very special. It's my first time taking a taxi with..." She suddenly stopped and her cheeks flushed slightly.
Ouyang immediately understood what she hadn't finished saying. He turned to look at Jin Zhiyuan and said, "With Noona."
