The assistant respectfully led Madam Gu into the car.
"Mother."
Madam Gu turned her head stiffly, and Su Jin gave her a sinister smile, a faint threat.
"Mother, you must remember what I just said, otherwise..."
Madam Gu was so angry that her nostrils flared, and she fled to her car.
In the enclosed space, the assistant seemed to smell something strange, frowned, and muttered, "What's that smell..."
This one sentence really touched a nerve with Old Madam Gu, who was in a fragile state of mind at that moment.
"Shut up! Drive!"
Lin Shi, like a smug little fox, asked Su Jin, "What did you just say to her? Why does she look like she's eaten shit? You didn't actually feed her...?"
Su Jin frowned and said, "Where am I supposed to get that thing?"
Su Jin couldn't help but laugh when she recalled the "miserable situation" just now, and took out the photo album to show Lin Shi.
When Lin Shi saw what was inside, she laughed so hard she couldn't straighten up. "You're something else!"
The album contained photos of Su Jin riding on Old Madam Gu's head from different angles, interspersed with several photos of her stuffing smelly socks into her clothes.
“I told her, don’t mess with me, or I’ll make the Gu family the talk of the town and print out a 10x10 meter poster about her son’s impotence and hang it at the front gate of the Gu family business.”
Mentioning this, Lin Shi was wide awake. "What circle? Is your husband really impotent?"
Su Jin waved her phone, raising an eyebrow. "How would I know? I've never slept with him. I'm just making this up."
Moreover, that's how it's described in novels, with all sorts of circles and rings.
Lin Shi blinked. It was just like her; she never spoke the truth.
"Jin Jin, how was it? Did you enjoy it?"
"That's not enough. I'm more resentful than a ghost right now."
They've become a miserable existence that they could never have imagined as children.
Su Jin went upstairs and packed her personal belongings, which filled a small bag. She gave a cold laugh.
"I was really poor when I was young. After a few years of struggling, I was finally no longer young."
Lin Shi glanced at her small package and clicked her tongue twice, teasingly saying, "These clothes must have been bought by us a few years ago when we were still in college, right? Is your Beijing socialite husband so stingy? He won't even buy you clothes?"
"I just don't want to bring them; they won't sell for any money anyway."
Su Jin rolled her eyes at her. She felt that even if the two of them were in their seventies or eighties, Lin Shi, now an old lady, would still say sarcastically, "And your husband, that rich prince from the Beijing circle back then, I don't even want to talk about him."
Getting married is something people talk about for a lifetime.
Su Jin told the truth that she had almost forgotten what he looked like, but she still remembered his figure very well.
Lin Shi asked her curiously, "From what you're saying, he doesn't like you either, so why does he insist on marrying you?"
Su Jin shrugged. "How would I know? I only know he wouldn't use me. It's not that I trust his character, it's just that I'm useless."
Lin Shi's eyes darted around as she imagined a whole drama unfolding in her mind.
"Could it be that he has a white moonlight who died young, and you happen to look a lot like his white moonlight? He just married you, but he won't touch you because he wants to keep his white moonlight chaste!"
After saying that, he slapped his thigh, almost applauding himself for being so smart!
Su Jin looked at herself in the mirror from left to right, pointing to her face.
"Does his ideal man look like me?"
His tone contained three parts shock, three parts disbelief, and four parts doubt about Gu Xingze's judgment.
"Are you sure the 'white moonlight' of the young master in Beijing's elite circles looks like me? What kind of good person could someone who looks like me be?"
Lin Shi looked at her face and pondered for a moment, "She's quite self-aware."
Before Su Jin could get angry, Lin Shi quickly changed the subject, "I forgot to tell you, your white moonlight is going back to China too, are you happy?"
Su Jin was baffled. "Where did I get a white moonlight?"
Lin Shi said mysteriously, "You'll find out when the time comes. When I tell him you want a divorce, he'll be eager to fly back!"
...
Gu Xingze hurriedly ended the shareholders' meeting, and his assistant Li Yi caught up with him.
"Boss, can you really just abandon the shareholders like this?"
"I have family matters to attend to."
My family is about to be gone, what's the point of working!
When they arrived at the villa, there wasn't a soul in sight.
Gu Xingze rummaged through the wardrobe with trembling hands, trying to find a trace of her existence.
Her clothes were still in the wardrobe, but all the jewelry that had been bought for her was gone from the jewelry box.
Suddenly, he saw something familiar, his pupils dilated, and he picked up the wedding ring that was placed by the bed.
She even took this off; does she really want a divorce?
"Li Yi, give me your phone."
Li Yi nodded and handed over his phone with both hands.
Gu Xingze dialed the number he knew by heart.
Su Jin was looking at Lin Shi's little house and sighed, "We really are both broke."
"You're complaining now? A dog doesn't mind a poor home."
Su Jin glared at her, put her bag away, and sat down casually as if she were back in her own home.
"Lin Shi, tell me, why are we still not successful? Aren't we petty enough?"
A sudden cell phone ringtone broke the atmosphere.
It was an unfamiliar number, and Su Jin frowned as she answered.
"Hello, who is it?"
Gu Xingze's eyes reddened at just two words. He sniffed and suppressed a sob, "It's me. Where are you? I want to talk to you."
Lin Shi looked at Su Jin with a wicked smile, "Your husband called~"
Su Jin retorted fiercely, "Your husband!"
Gu Xingze vaguely heard someone on the other end of the phone saying "husband" and something like that, and he felt even more upset. She was still willing to call him husband, so she was definitely just saying she wanted a divorce on purpose. But how could she just say "divorce" like that?
