Su Jin realized what was happening, looked left and right, turned the entire bedroom upside down, and uttered a question from the bottom of her heart.
Where's the dog?
Seeing that he was being ignored, Gu Xingze pitifully crawled to Su Jin's feet and stuffed the chain into her hand.
"Here." The voice was so soft it was barely audible.
Su Jin laughed angrily, "You're playing me?"
Gu Xingze was taken aback by Su Jin's reaction and was at a loss for words.
This was the first time he had done something like this; he just wanted to please her.
"I...that's not it..."
"Hmm!"
Unfortunately, before he could finish speaking, the chain around his neck was yanked hard, causing him to cry out in pain.
He had no choice but to tilt his head back and look directly into Su Jin's eyes.
Su Jin glared at him through gritted teeth, her gaze slowly shifting to the object on his neck.
It doesn't look like it's meant for human wear, because the material is very rough. After being pulled like that just now, the thin skin on Gu Xingze's neck was rubbed raw and bled.
Even so, he did not stop her "brutal" behavior.
I just used my hands to hold the gap between it and my skin on my neck to try and reduce the pain.
Su Jin's eyes darkened as she scrutinized the person kneeling before her.
Gu Xingze's whole body was trembling slightly, especially his hands.
Even though he was so scared, he still pushed his body forward.
For a fleeting moment, she really wanted to blurt out the words "bitch".
But reason prevailed.
"Gu Xingze, I'll ask you one more time, where's my dog?"
He added, "Don't tell me you're my dog. I want a real, furry dog. How can you compare to it?"
Gu Xingze lowered his head, and the dog ears on his head seemed to droop down.
"It hasn't arrived yet; it's on its way."
As the pulling sensation on his neck gradually weakened, tears welled up in his eyes.
"I'm sorry, I lied to you."
Gu Xingze looked up, his nose already red, and shook his head while sobbing.
"But I'm tired of saying it, and I really don't know what to do... I can only lie to you like this to get you home."
Watching him kneel at her feet, humbly begging for her love, her tall body trembled with sobs.
A barely perceptible smile flashed in Su Jin's eyes. She glanced at the time; there was still time.
Suddenly seized by a playful impulse, she stretched out her foot and pressed it against his...
"Um!"
Gu Xingze groaned, looked up blankly, tears still clinging to the tip of his nose, not understanding Su Jin's meaning.
Has he forgiven himself for lying to her?
Su Jin asked him casually, "I was thinking of asking you this when I got back: where's my beige cotton pajamas? They're gone!"
A smile played on her lips, but it was a smile full of amusement.
Gu Xingze was indeed extremely guilty, and offered an explanation in a very low voice.
"I...I got it dirty. I was going to wash it for you, but I was afraid you'd think it was dirty, so I just threw it away...I'll buy you a new one. I'm sorry."
Su Jin's voice rose, "Oh, really? How did it get dirty...?"
He pressed down hard as he spoke.
"Um!"
Gu Xingze arched his back and couldn't help but cry out.
Su Jin continued to press, as if nothing had happened, "Tell me, how did you get it dirty?"
Now it wasn't just his eyes and nose that were red; Gu Xingze's entire body was covered in red marks. He sobbed and lay at her feet, begging her, "Wife, please stop playing with me, waah... I can't take it anymore."
Su Jin scoffed, "You said you could take a beating, but now you can't? What a load of bull."
Su Jin shook her head, disappointed, and tried to pull her leg back, but was grabbed.
Looking down, Gu Xingze's tears flowed again, his chest muscles pressed against his calves.
"No, I can take it. Play with me, wife. I'm yours." He stammered, trying to prove that he could.
Su Jin smiled with satisfaction.
"When I was little, I especially loved the smell of the blankets after they were aired out. Later, someone told me that it was the smell of mites being burned by ultraviolet rays. That's when I realized that what I had always liked was not the sunshine."
She bent down and said to him with a smile.
"It's burning food."
...
Su Jin turned her neck; she was so clingy.
Before she left, Gu Xingze clung to her, begging her not to go, repeating as if possessed, "I'm yours, I'm yours..."
"Honey, will you still love me when you get back from filming the show?"
Su Jin could only give him a perfunctory reply, "We'll see."
Lin Shi waved her hand in front of her, "I'm calling you, why didn't you answer?"
Su Jin snapped out of her reverie. "What's wrong? I was just thinking about something."
"What's up?"
Su Jin looked around suspiciously before briefly recounting what had just happened to her.
Lin Shi completely lost control of her expression after she finished speaking.
"Girl, now that you mention it, you sound like a beast."
Su Jin clicked her tongue. "How can you talk like that? It's human nature to be fickle! Don't you also have a fickle nature?"
Lin Shi remained silent.
"So let's not talk about each other."
When they arrived at their destination, the two of them got out of the car and went inside.
Ye Shuwei, Meng Guangjun, and Shen Yanxiu have arrived.
Seeing that the machine wasn't turned on yet, Su Jin and Lin Shi immediately sat down next to Ye Shuwei and started chatting.
Who would have thought that as soon as the director saw the two of them come in, he quietly turned on the camera.
Wow, wow, I finally found it!
[It's not time for the broadcast yet! Luckily I arrived early.]
This show always starts early; you'll get used to it.
Ye Shuwei remained silent. Su Jin glanced at her curiously and asked, "What are you doing?"
Ye Shuwei didn't even look up. "I'm editing the photo."
"Isn't this kind of thing usually done by assistants?"
"I don't trust others to Photoshop my photos."
Ye Shuwei is inexplicably cute in private.
The company shouldn't have given her that kind of brainless persona; it's not fashionable anymore.
Su Jin asked her, "May I watch?"
Ye Shuwei offered her the phone.
The image above shows Ye Shuwei lying on her side in bed, looking sadly at the camera, with every strand of her hair perfectly styled.
The caption reads: "Don't want to start work, *crying*."
Su Jin looked at it for a while, then returned the phone to her and humbly asked for her advice.
"How did you take such a melancholic and beautiful photo? Mine looks like I'm sneaking a pig's head at the market and getting beaten unconscious by the vendor."
She asked very seriously, which surprised Ye Shuwei.
[Girl, you deleted this post, right? I'm fine. But I have a buddy, you know? We're like brothers. He's a little uncomfortable seeing this. Of course, I'm not upset at all. I'm just reminding him. I'm really not upset. Forget it, I'll get someone to mess with you.]
I felt like crying, but when I turned to cover myself with the blanket, I realized it smelled awful...
Do you know how hard it's been for me to keep going until now?
