Song Xi stared blankly at Ao Qian for a long while before asking, "Are you stupid?"
"And what about you? Aren't you stupid?" Aoqian retorted.
Song Xiwei did not answer.
Before Song Xiwei could react, Aoqian suddenly slashed his wrist.
Fresh blood suddenly gushed out.
Song Xi gasped in surprise and quickly pressed her hand against his wound. Her face turned pale. "What are you doing!"
“It was my fault, this is punishment,” Aoqian replied calmly.
His gaze lingered on Song Xiwei's hand pressing on his injury. Song Xiwei was tense and angry. "What's wrong with you? What did you do? Who's going to punish you?"
"I shouldn't have argued with you that day," Aoqian said weakly.
Song Xiwei racked her brains for a moment and realized that she couldn't remember what kind of argument she and Aoqian had had.
It's easy to imagine that she didn't take those little quirks to heart at all.
But Aoqian was very serious, his expression very solemn. "It was my fault. I was petty and insisted on judging others by my own standards. I have reflected on my actions."
Song Xiwei was completely confused by him.
"Stop talking, bandage the wound first. Your primordial spirit is unstable right now, you can't afford to cause a deficiency of both qi and blood, otherwise you'll suffer a qi deviation, which would be very troublesome." Song Xiwei nervously bandaged Aoqian while instructing him.
Aoqian took in Song Xiwei's worried and nervous expression, and a satisfied smile appeared on his lips.
Like a child who has just eaten candy.
He felt that the moment when Song Xiwei looked at him with focused, tense eyes was the happiest he had experienced in the past few days.
Because of her weakness, Song Xiwei's hands were trembling, and she finally managed to bandage Aoqian.
Aoqian smiled at her, and the next moment she was so shocked that her jaw dropped.
He rolled up his sleeves and, two inches above the bandaged wound, applied another pressure point.
Blood gushed out, but this time Song Xiwei remained unmoved. A flash of surprise crossed her eyes, and then she gradually calmed down.
They didn't even ask him why he was behaving so strangely.
She simply looked at him calmly.
Ao Qian said, "I've never thought about changing for anyone, and I don't know how to make people like me. If you're willing to teach me, I'll learn well. If you don't want to teach me..."
Song Xiwei saw blood dripping all over the floor, and the air was filled with the smell of blood. Her face turned pale. "What exactly do you want to do? Or, what do you want me to do?"
When Aoqian saw Song Xiwei's expression, he suddenly panicked.
He was just afraid of making another mistake because of his own actions.
He just wanted to change himself, though he was clumsy and didn't know where to start.
He thought that by using punishment, he could make himself appear to take the matter seriously and show Song Xiwei his determination to change.
However, it seems he made a mistake again.
He saw Song Xiwei's tired and disappointed expression.
Aoqian stood there, completely bewildered.
After an unknown amount of time, Song Xi sighed and bandaged him up.
“You don’t need to carefully change for anyone. When you don’t kill and there is light in your heart, that’s when I like you the most. Even if you occasionally act unreasonably, I don’t think it’s a big deal.” Song Xiwei finished speaking earnestly, seeing that Aoqian’s eyes were still blank and helpless.
She reached out and pinched his cheek. "If there's anything you don't understand, you can talk to me about it, but you're not allowed to hurt yourself anymore!"
Aoqian's mind was buzzing. Song Xiwei said a lot, but he only heard that one sentence—Song Xiwei said she liked him.
Bubbles started forming in my heart, with sweet bubbles constantly rising to the surface.
Looking at Song Xiwei with excitement, she said, "I really don't need to change? You like me just the way I am, did I hear that right?"
