Why this sudden change?
Ao Qian looked completely bewildered, his face darkening. Instead of leaving, he pressed down hard on Song Xi's thin shoulders.
"What happened! Are you feeling unwell? Speak up, look me in the eye!" Aoqian was furious when he saw Song Xiwei turn her head to the side.
Song Xiwei's shoulders ached from Ao Qian's pressure, and her mind was in complete turmoil.
Aoqian, however, had no intention of letting her be alone for a while. Instead, he pressed her for an answer, determined to get to the bottom of things.
Song Xiwei thought to herself, "Forget it, there's no need to ask Sifan anymore. I'll just ask Aoqian directly."
Song Xiwei raised her head and met Aoqian's gaze.
Perhaps it was the resentment in her eyes, which were slightly red, that extinguished the fire in Ao Qian's heart when he met those beautiful, watery eyes filled with resentment. Instead, he found his hands on Song Xiwei's shoulders almost powerless.
When he spoke, his voice was far less forceful than before; he simply asked weakly, "Wh-what's wrong?"
"What kind of liking do you have for me?" Song Xiwei wasn't one to beat around the bush, and now she was also annoyed by Aoqian's actions.
Why is Aoqian acting like nothing's wrong while I'm so upset?
When Song Xiwei suddenly asked Aoqian this question, his expression showed a slight surprise.
"Is this a difficult question to answer? Have you been thinking about it for so long?" Song Xiwei couldn't help but urge her.
She was surprised; shouldn't she have blurted out such a question?
"I don't know, I've never liked anyone," Aoqian shook his head and replied.
Song Xiwei: "..." From what he said, it seems there's no one to compare him to? So he doesn't really understand what the concept of liking someone is.
That's why, under those circumstances, he said that he and she liked each other.
Song Xiwei couldn't help but sigh and rub her forehead. This guy really knows how to cause chaos and turmoil.
It seems there's no need to foolishly try to probe into other areas.
He simply liked me because he considered me a comrade-in-arms.
As for my strange behavior just now, it must be because I've been spending a lot of time alone with Aoqian lately. Since I haven't been in contact with anyone else, that's why I had those strange thoughts about Aoqian.
That must be it.
After figuring it out, the resentment in Song Xiwei's eyes vanished, replaced by openness and honesty, interacting with Aoqian in the same way as before, "I was just teasing you."
"What?" Aoqian was stunned.
"I was just teasing you when I said I wanted to be alone and asked you to go out. You can stay here." Song Xiwei got up to get her medicine.
Aoqian watched as she readily drank the medicine. Not long after she finished, Song Xiwei began to feel sleepy.
This is a normal reaction as the medicine takes effect.
Aoqian stayed by Song Xiwei's side until she fell asleep. Even then, he remained motionless, staring at her sleeping face, but his mind was inexplicably preoccupied with the question Song Xiwei had just asked him.
What kind of liking do I have for Song Xiwei?
Are there many kinds of liking someone?
Aoqian was completely bewildered.
I really want to ask Song Xiwei what kind of feelings she has for me.
If he asks, she'll tell him, right?
But what if my feelings for Song Xiwei aren't the same as hers?
Ao had thought about this question very carefully in his mind.
The word "like" is easy to write; it only requires a few strokes.
But why is it so difficult to understand these two words?
He didn't understand what kind of feelings Song Xiwei had for him, and he was even more confused about what kind of feelings he had for Song Xiwei.
