Song Xiwei, in contrast, was very composed.

Returning to the inn with questions in mind, Meng Shu was still awake.
"Does that sorcerer live in the palace?" Song Xiwei asked.
Do we have to break into the palace?

Meng Shu shook his head. "Not necessarily. He has no fixed abode and only appears when he wants to."
"Sigh, I don't know where those young men who were arrested have been sent. I went out to inquire, but I couldn't find out anything. It seems I have to think of a way." Song Xiwei rested her chin on her hand.
"How about I try it tomorrow after removing my makeup?"
Upon hearing that Song Xiwei intended to use herself as bait, Meng Shu's expression changed drastically. "No, Lord Song, if you are controlled by the evil sorcerer, I, I..."

"Your Highness, your subordinate greets Your Highness." The other party led a group of people dressed in the uniform of the Sheng Kingdom to kowtow before Song Xiwei.
Song Xiwei looked at Meng Shu, who came closer and whispered in his ear, "They are the Imperial Guards of Father Emperor."
"No need for formalities," Song Xi said, raising her hand slightly.
After the Imperial Guards stood up, they said to Song Xiwei, "Your Highness the Crown Prince has been away from the palace for a long time, and His Majesty is very concerned. Please come back to the palace with us."

Upon arriving at the palace, Meng Shu's expression turned urgent. "Lord Song, you must not enter the palace. My father has already been controlled by the sorcerer, and so have the Imperial Guards..."
"I'm giving you this. You can use it to communicate with me telepathically. I'll act accordingly. You should continue with this makeup and don't go out. Protect yourself." Song Xiwei handed a talisman to Meng Shu and cast a spell.
