Chapter 34 The Plan Fails

As Song Xiwei spoke, she moved a little closer to Aoqian.

As a night breeze swept by, a strand of her long hair was blown by the wind and became tangled with the hair on Aoqian's chest.

She was completely unaware of this, as all her attention was focused on persuading Aoqian.

Aoqian lowered his eyes and glanced at the tangled hair on his chest, momentarily stunned.

In my ear, Song Xiwei was still chattering on and on about all the benefits of joining her sect.

After talking for a long time, Song Xiwei finally stopped, probably because her mouth was dry.

But her eyes remained fixed on Aoqian, as if she were determined to find an answer.

Aoqian took out an orange and handed it to her: "You've talked too much, your mouth must be dry."

"Pfft!!" Song Xiwei rolled her eyes speechlessly. She had talked to Aoqian so earnestly, but he didn't react at all. Instead, when she was thirsty and tired, he took out an orange for her.

Song Xiwei was so angry she laughed.

Aoqian peeled the orange with his long, fair fingers and handed it to her.

Song Xiwei seemed to have a grudge against oranges. When she took the orange, she gave Aoqian a mischievous smile. Sure enough, when she opened her mouth to eat the orange, she deliberately spat orange juice all over Aoqian's face while biting into it.

"Oh dear! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! Young Master, are you alright? Would you like me to wipe your face?" Song Xiwei feigned concern, extending her sleeve to wipe Aoqian's face.

Aoqian stepped aside slightly, but there was no sign of anger on his face.

He gazed intently at Song Xiwei, taking in her mischievous glint in her eyes, and said in a rather serious tone, "Once I have avenged my great grudge and reclaimed what belongs to me, I will definitely accompany you to your sect to express my gratitude to your grandmaster."

Upon hearing Aoqian's words, Song Xiwei knew that her plan had completely failed.

That guy, Aoqian, is really quite clear-headed.

No matter how eloquently you speak, it's useless.

"So, what are your plans for these three months, Young Master?" Song Xiwei could only settle for second best, hoping to keep Aoqian calm and find a way to dispel the violent aura emanating from him during these three months.

At least when it comes to revenge, don't harm the innocent.

"I don't know." Aoqian's eyes were somewhat unfocused. "Originally, I wanted to take it one step at a time, but Song Xiwei, do you think I still have a peaceful life now?"

Aoqian's words were the absolute truth.

Ze Lin has been relentlessly pursuing Ao Qian.

If Ao falls into Ze Lin's hands, he will surely be unable to live or die.

That's why she wasn't so angry when Aoqian said he was the knife he needed.

Song Xiwei was deep in thought.

Aoqian looked into the distance. "Actually, my father really favored Zelin. It's just a pity that Zelin never understood. Apart from the position of Demon Lord, my father gave him all his favor. But that favor made Zelin arrogant, and he even tried to seize the throne. However, Zelin is probably convinced that I have no chance to turn things around. He captured me alive not only because he wanted my pure Demon Lord blood, but also because he wanted to humiliate me. After all, he has been thinking about me for so many years, just to trample me under his feet."

After a pause, Ao Qian looked up at Song Xiwei and asked, "So, Song Xiwei, if you were in his shoes, what would you do?"

Song Xiwei's expression was very solemn.

She didn't actually know much about the feud between Ze Lin and Ao Qian.

It was only after getting to know Aoqian that she learned that the two of them were actually half-brothers.

But it's clear that there's absolutely no affection between these two brothers other than irreconcilable hatred.
