"So, what's the point of giving you this poison?"
Song Xiwei suddenly felt that things were definitely not simple.
Fortunately, most of the miasma had already been drawn to her body.
If it weren't for Aoqian's interference, the remaining poison in his body would have been cleared by now.
"If I hadn't shown up, what were you planning to do? The entrance to Chidu would probably have been surrounded long ago, and you were injured and couldn't use the teleportation array, so you could only rely on walking. Also, because you were poisoned, you were being tracked by the werewolves with their keen sense of smell. If I hadn't shown up, were you planning to feed those werewolves with your own body?"
Song Xiwei asked a series of questions.
Aoqian truly didn't know how to answer.
He had promised her he would live.
But if Song Xiwei hadn't come, his fate would indeed be uncertain, and his chances of survival would be slim.
"Didn't you ask me how I found you in such a short time?" Song Xiwei took off the black gemstone hair ornament. "If you didn't want me to find you, you should have taken it back when you left. Anyway, you were already prepared to die alone, so it's useless for me to keep it. Or, should I give it back to you now?"
Song Xiwei looked at Aoqian with a gloomy expression; she was not joking.
Aoqian stammered, “Listen to me. It happened so suddenly. I did receive your telepathic message, but I didn’t want you to get involved, so I didn’t tell you. But you still came looking for me.”
"I'll ask you one last time, are you sure you want me to leave and face this alone by yourself?" Song Xiwei looked at Aoqian seriously.
Their eyes met, and Aoqian did not answer her immediately.
Song Xiwei said, "You can stay here alone if you want, and let me absorb the remaining poison from you."
"No!" Aoqian couldn't let her suffer any more mishaps.
"So, are you still going to kick me out?" Song Xiwei handed him the black gemstone hair crown, but Aoqian didn't take it.
"I... I won't do it again," Aoqian said, bowing his head in apology.
"I think you'll do it again next time!" Song Xiwei didn't dare say she completely understood Aoqian, but she was familiar with him.
He kept telling me to live well and protect myself, and I made the same promise to him. But after just one day apart, we almost died.
What about trust between people?
If Song Xiwei hadn't insisted on coming along, Aoqian's body would have been cold by now. Oh, no, these people wouldn't have left him with a whole body.
“There’s no point in arguing about this now. I’ve observed the surrounding terrain, and it will be extremely difficult for us to escape. All the fortresses in Chidu are blocked off, and every point of the teleportation array is restricted. The enemy has set up an inescapable trap, just waiting for us to walk right into their trap.” Song Xiwei sighed helplessly.
Because of the toxins, Song Xiwei's breath turned to ice, and her whole body became stiff.
“Now, there’s another way. It’s risky, but it might be worth a try.” Song Xiwei said to Ao Qian, her teeth chattering as she tried to think of a solution.
"What method?" Aoqian was worried that Song Xiwei would do something detrimental to her.
“I guarantee that after we return to Chidu together, I will supervise you and prevent you from committing evil. If you disobey, I will take the punishment for you and accept the wrath of the Six Realms. What do you think?” Song Xiwei asked Aoqian.
She spoke each word with utmost seriousness.
Ao Qian's face darkened. "You, how can you replace me?"
Aoqian felt utterly powerless.
Wouldn't doing this completely drag her into darkness?
He wanted her, but not in this cage-like way.
She deserves all the good things in the world.
They shouldn't be restricted because of him.
Aoqian's answer made Song Xiwei's face darken slightly. What did he mean? Did he think that her relationship with him was not good enough and that she was not qualified to stand up for him?
