Song Xiwei stared at Aoqian and asked.
Aoqian shook his head. "Not yet."
He hadn't realized that the power had actually been extending an invitation to him all along, but he was still hesitant.
"Are you worried that you'll lose control like I did?" Song Xiwei directly addressed Aoqian's concerns.
Ao Qian nodded. "I am well aware that the existence of the inherited power has already aroused the fear of the Six Realms. If left unchecked, it will become a target for plunder, but if I absorb it... if something happens to me, it will implicate others..."
"Don't be afraid." Song Xiwei gently reached out and held Ao Qian's slightly cool hand.
Her hands were much smaller than Aoqian's; when she held Aoqian's hand, she could only barely cover part of it.
