Chapter 478 Succession Ceremony

The three days passed quickly.

The ceremony for Aoqian's succession to the Demon Lord was a grand occasion for the entire Demon Clan.

The robes and crown worn by the Demon Lord on the day of his coronation ceremony were all priceless treasures.

Song Xiwei was asked by Aoqian to enter the altar with him and complete the entire ceremony.

Ao Qian wore a black robe with the insignia of the demon race, along with a crown of the same color, which gave him a very powerful and noble aura.

Song Xiwei's dress was custom-made by Ao Qian.

The white gauze dress was paired with a finely crafted silver crown adorned with gemstones. Together with Aoqian, one was dressed in black and the other in white; one was aloof and the other elegant and handsome, but both were people of exceptional appearance.

Although the two did not hold hands, they walked side by side, yet they seemed like a match made in heaven. Besides being pleasing to the eye, they attracted everyone's attention wherever they went.

The entire ceremony was very complicated.

Song Xiwei was so busy following Ao Qian that she was completely disoriented.

I finally managed to steal a moment of leisure during the break from the ancestral worship ceremony.

Ao whispered in her ear, "Are you tired? Should we pause the ceremony, rest, and have something to eat?"

Song Xi glared at him. "You're the Demon Lord. You can't just stop your ritual whenever you want. There are so many people watching!"

She was just there to accompany Aoqian through the ceremony. Now that Aoqian is going to perform the ancestral worship ceremony, what's wrong with her taking a break?

Why is Aoqian always watching her? It's driving me crazy.

She looked up and around, and sure enough, some demon elders were already shaking their heads, expressing their displeasure.

Aoqian said nonchalantly, "That's right, I am the Demon Lord. My rituals are my own decision. If you're tired, we can take a break."

"I'm not tired, I don't need to rest. You should continue the ancestral worship ceremony." Song Xiwei was exasperated with him. Couldn't he concentrate a little and properly complete the ceremony?

Why are you staring at her like that?

Aoqian didn't seem to believe Song Xiwei's words. "You said you weren't tired, but you look exhausted. The succession ceremony started early this morning, and it's almost lunchtime now. You must be tired."

Song Xiwei remained silent.

She wasn't being pretentious; she simply took the opportunity to steal a moment of leisure during the ancestral worship ceremony, since she didn't have to recite the demonic prayers like Aoqian.

Who knew that Aoqian had eyes on the back of his head?

He caught her in that one moment.

"Let's rest for a while, eat something, and then continue, okay? I'm hungry and tired too. Let's rest together for a bit, okay?" Aoqian saw that Song Xiwei was indifferent and didn't pay any attention to him.

He asked Song Xiwei in a gentle and kind tone.

Completely ignoring others...

Ignoring the fact that this was his succession ceremony as Demon Lord.

Everyone was stunned.

This suddenly appearing outsider is now the new Demon Lord's closest confidant.

Not only that, the new Demon Lord is always stern and extremely cold-blooded, and he doesn't even give the old Demon Lord a kind look. But when it comes to this outsider, he's practically fawning.

The enthronement ceremony of the Demon Lord was clearly the most important day for him.

The Demon Lord, however, insisted on bringing along an unrelated person to receive the worship of his demon subjects.

Although the two were pleasing to the eye, it always felt that the Demon Lord was more concerned about the person beside him than about the succession ceremony.

It seemed as if he wanted to keep his eyes glued to that person at all times, and even the slightest frown from that person would attract the Demon Lord's attention.

Song Xiwei's cheeks flushed.

She'd lost her mind; how could she have been so easily fooled by Aoqian into agreeing to accept the worship of the demon people together?

It's like a joke. Not only is he being stared at by so many people, but Aoqian also keeps strangely drawing attention to himself.

"Dismiss everyone, I have something to ask you." Song Xiwei tried her best to control herself from losing her temper.

Aoqian immediately did as she asked. After dismissing everyone around him, he coaxed her gently, "Are your legs sore? Are you thirsty? Would you like to eat something first..."
