Aoqian was still stuck on this point, his face tense as he said, "If she hadn't been my fiancée before, wouldn't you be able to rest easy?"
"Oh dear, I don't even like her type, so how can I be at ease? Didn't I tell you? I've been spending more time with her these past few days because you hurt her feelings. As your capable subordinate, I feel that helping her find her happiness is also helping you share your burdens."
Song Xi said sullenly.
Since Ruoliao hadn't confessed her feelings, Song Xiwei pretended not to know anything. As for telling Aoqian that she didn't like Ruoliao's type, she wasn't lying.
She is a woman, and no matter how beautiful a woman is, she can never have anything with him; this is an unchangeable fact.
"Is that really true?" Aoqian looked at Song Xiwei with suspicion, as the scene of kicking open the door had been too much of a shock to him.
Should he trust Song Xiwei?
Once Aoqian calmed down, he realized that Song Xiwei, who had been through so much with him, would never deceive him for the sake of a woman.
"It's absolutely true, I won't like Ruoliao, Young Master. You can rest assured, I would never do anything to embarrass you." Song Xiwei almost swore an oath to prove it.
Aoqian's expression finally softened. His raging anger, which had been uncontrollable, was now completely subdued, as if Song Xiwei had easily calmed him down.
He was somewhat annoyed that all his self-control, no matter how much he tried to restrain himself, was always easily broken down in front of Song Xiwei.
But Aoqian knew that he still felt a sense of humiliation.
It's an undeniable fact that I've been ignored and left out these past few days.
Song Xiwei should coax him a little more; at the very least, he shouldn't have been so easily coaxed by her.
Once Ao Qian starts acting up, he won't stop so quickly.
"The clothes I'm wearing are awful."
Aoqian started finding fault, nitpicking at Song Xiwei's clothes.
The biggest reason wasn't the quality of the clothes, but rather that she had just been in close contact with Ruoliao while wearing them.
Aoqian was furious just looking at it.
Song Xiwei looked down and said, "Is it alright? I used to wear this outfit all the time, and you never said it looked bad."
"It's just ugly! It makes me furious!" Aoqian said coldly, expressing his dissatisfaction.
"Alright, alright, if Young Master says it looks bad, then it looks bad. I'll change. Can I go change into something else right now?" Song Xiwei went behind the screen to change her clothes.
Not long after, she changed into an outfit that was completely different in color and style.
Aoqian looked at her, and Song Xiwei in front of him was still handsome and elegant, a refreshing sight.
Aoqian knew that Song Xiwei was waiting for his praise, but he deliberately didn't.
He went around to the back of the screen and saw the clothes that Song Xiwei had changed out of. He then pushed flames out of his palm.
When Song Xiwei smelled the burning smell and ran over, the clothes had already been burned to ashes.
"Why did you burn it?!" Song Xiwei exclaimed helplessly.
"You think you're going to wear such ugly clothes again?" After burning the clothes, Aoqian seemed to finally feel better. "I don't think it's necessary. The clothes you're wearing are a million times better looking. There's no need to keep ugly clothes."
Seeing that Aoqian's expression had finally softened, Song Xi breathed a sigh of relief.
So be it, it's just a piece of clothing, let it burn, as long as Aoqian doesn't pursue the matter.
"Good, good, good, we won't keep it. Young Master, you did the right thing by burning it!"
Listening to Song Xiwei's exaggerated words, Ao Qian's gaze swept over Song Xiwei from head to toe.
The clothes had been changed, but when Song Xiwei was on top of Ruoliao just now, he clearly saw Song Xiwei's lips brush against Ruoliao's cheek. Even if it was only for a very short time, it was still a touch.
