A dark glint flashed in his eyes, and Mu Yichen's lips pressed down into a straight line.
After hanging up the phone, Qin Shengyi turned to look at Mu Yichen.
"I have an appointment to meet with Xu Yanshu. If you're free, could you come with me?"
She would give him a taste of his own medicine and make him experience the pain of jealousy.
Should we let her come along?
Mu Yichen was slightly taken aback, but after regaining his senses, he nodded like a chicken pecking at rice. He was naturally more than happy that Mu Yichen was willing to take the initiative to clarify certain things.
Mu Yichen was driving again, and they arrived at the coffee shop about twenty minutes later.
Finally, Qin Shengyi appeared. Xu Yanshu subconsciously stood up, but when he noticed Mu Yichen standing next to him, his expression suddenly froze.
Qin Shengyi, unusually, took Mu Yichen's arm, and the two walked forward hand in hand. "So, what did you want to say to me?"
Xu Yanshu was speechless for a moment. He originally wanted to explain the trending topic to Shengyi, but he never expected that she would come with Mu Yichen.
“Our two families just had dinner together. I was about to take Shengyi home when you called!” Mu Yichen pulled his hand away from Qin Shengyi’s and put his arm around her shoulder instead. He continued, “So I came over with Shengyi!”
"Mr. Xu shouldn't mind, right?"
They've already progressed to the point where both sets of parents have met, haven't they?
Xu Yanshu felt a mix of emotions. He subconsciously looked at Qin Shengyi, but the girl avoided his gaze first.
Mu Yichen took all of this in without showing any emotion, and then asked again, "So, what exactly do you want to say to Shengyi?"
"Ah...it's nothing. I just suddenly remembered that Shengyi left a document with me before. It's not really urgent."
Since Sheng Yi has already made his decision, there's no need for me to explain anything further.
Thinking it over, Xu Yanshu looked at Qin Shengyi with longing in her eyes again. Perhaps Mu Yichen was indeed more suitable for Shengyi.
Noticing Xu Yanshu's embarrassed expression, Qin Shengyi felt a pang of pity and unconsciously clenched her hands at her sides.
Not intending to expose the other party, Mu Yichen nodded as if he understood, "I see. We have other things to do next, so we probably won't be able to have coffee with Mr. Xu!"
"Okay, then you guys go ahead and get busy!" Xu Yanshu forced a smile.
