Her mood instantly brightened, and Qiao Yu, sitting in the back row, felt no emotion whatsoever.
Bai Yiyu fastened her seatbelt with a "click," the gentle movement revealing a subtle displeasure, yet her gentle face held a slight smile, as if she hadn't heard anything.
Both women appeared completely unfazed. Qiao Yu glanced around and sensed the tense atmosphere in the front row, making her hesitant to even breathe. She shrank back as much as possible, trying to minimize her presence in Bai Yiyu and Lu Shangyi's eyes to avoid inadvertently getting herself into trouble.
She was very well-behaved, behaving obediently and quietly, as if she didn't even exist in the car.
The quieter she was, the more displeased the woman in the front row became. Lu Shangyi glanced at the girl with slightly wide eyes in the rearview mirror. As the light changed, her snow-white skin appeared both bright and dark, and the features on her delicate face were sometimes charming and sometimes alluring, ever-changing, like an unpredictable wisp of wind.
Especially those eyes, so clear and bright, with their black and white pupils that trembled slightly, were just like those of an alert rabbit, making them irresistible and captivating.
Suddenly meeting the gaze of the woman beside him, Lu Shangyi's eyes narrowed, and he slammed on the brakes.
Qiao Yu nearly tumbled between Lu Shangyi and Bai Yiyu, bag and all. After quickly regaining her balance, she knelt on the ground, her hair disheveled, and looked at Lu Shangyi with a blank expression. Lu Shangyi said calmly, "I just had a toe cramp."
Upon hearing this, Bai Yiyu's smile faded slightly. She quietly gazed at Lu Shangyi's weak and aloof face, her eyes narrowing slightly.
After saying that, she brought up Qiao Yu again, "Let's see if you dare not wear a seatbelt again."
She reached out and gently tucked Qiao Yu's messy hair behind her ear, her movement so natural that it betrayed no ulterior motive. The girl seemed oblivious, letting the woman tidy her hair up before getting up from the ground with a furrowed brow, muttering under her breath, "Sister, are you sure you can do this?"
Qiao Yu stared at Lu Shangyi with great suspicion, "If you're not feeling well, then let Aunt Bai take care of it."

Bai Yiyu thought for a moment and then spoke up, "I'll do it." Lu Shangyi's unhappy expression pleased her, and even her tone rose slightly, "It's safe."
She emphasized the last two words intentionally or unintentionally. Lu Shangyi glanced at her and smiled knowingly. She didn't try to be brave after all. She silently unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car. The two switched places. Just as Bai Yiyu was sitting in the driver's seat, the woman gently opened the back door and bent down to sit next to Qiao Yu.
Bai Yiyu turned around, and Lu Shangyi curled her lips into a smile. "Sorry, the passenger seat is too cramped, and I can't move my legs around."
She leaned weakly against Qiao Yu, saying, "It's safer for you to drive. I'll have to trouble you tonight."
Lu Shangyi's voice was so weak that even an EGA would feel a surge of sympathy upon hearing it, and would want to do whatever she wanted. Qiao Yu felt the same way. Qiao Yu was completely unaware of Lu Shangyi's abnormality and immediately replied, "Aunt Bai, thank you."
"If we hadn't met you tonight, the two of us EGAs would have been in complete chaos."
This was the first time in Bai Yiyu's life that someone had made her head ache so badly. Looking at Lu Shangyi's delicate and coquettish appearance, she found it increasingly irritating, but as an alpha and an elder, she couldn't possibly argue with an ega.

He then handed over the suit.
Qiao Yu stared at Bai Yiyu's gentlemanly hand, "!!!"
"System, I think I've really been cheated on!" She burst into tears, heartbroken. "How could this happen?! How could my Aunt Bai fall for my Sister Lu?!"
"This shouldn't be happening!"
Overwhelmed with grief, Qiao Yu accepted the suit from Bai Yiyu's hands. She felt as if she were draping her own blood and tears over Lu Shangyi, not clothes. Staring at Lu Shangyi through tear-filled eyes, she felt as if the sky had fallen, her vision blurred, and she couldn't accept this reality for a long time.
The system wanted to comfort her, but didn't know where to begin.
So it watched helplessly as its host's emotions spiraled out of control, staring wistfully at Bai Yiyu's retreating figure and saying, "Sister Lu usually dislikes alphas the most, so I'll handle adorable girls like Aunt Bai." She smiled slightly, "I want to protect the best Sister Lu in the world!"
Qiao Yu gazed at the woman who was looking at her with a deep sense of self-pity, and said, "System, how can there be such a kind person as me in the world?"
"Meeting me is the luckiest thing that has ever happened to Sister Lu."

The journey was uneventful, but upon arriving at her doorstep, Lu Shangyi fell into deep thought as she watched the girl joyfully rush to Bai Yiyu's side. Qiao Yu stared at Bai Yiyu with shining eyes, "Aunt Bai, please come in." She hunched her neck and glanced at her parents' house, then grabbed her wrist, "They should be back soon."
Her soft palm pressed tightly against her skin, the girl was very close to her, almost her whole body was leaning against her. She didn't realize that such intimate behavior was inappropriate. Bai Yiyu glanced at Lu Shangyi, then at Qiao Yu, and smiled softly, "Okay."
After the girl grabbed her wrist, Bai Yiyu's deep-set eyes relaxed, revealing a hint of pleasure.
The two had already taken several steps, but Lu Shangyi remained motionless until Qiao Yu noticed a cool gaze on her. She stopped and turned around in surprise, "Sister, why aren't you following me?"
Lu Shangyi remained calm and simply said, "Do I look like I can walk now?"
Qiao Yu suddenly realized what was happening and hurriedly went back to help her, but Bai Yiyu stopped her, saying, "Let me do it." She then rubbed Qiao Yu's head and said, "You go inside first."
Bai Yiyu never imagined that her seemingly normal words would be misunderstood. She walked towards Lu Shangyi and therefore didn't see Qiao Yu's incredulous expression. Qiao Yu watched helplessly as the tall Bai Yiyu helped the elegant and aloof Lu Shangyi, her fragile heart shattering into pieces.
She held back her tears, trying not to cry out loud. "System, it feels like I've suddenly lost two wives."
System: "? When did they become your wives?"
"All the good-looking ones are my wives." Qiao Yu paused, then realized, "That's not important. What's important is that this one of my wives has stolen my other wife!"
Just then, Mrs. Qiao returned from outside and saw her daughter biting her lip in grievance, her face showing a strong and resilient expression, trying not to cry. She immediately frowned. Her gaze swept over Bai Yiyu and Lu Shangyi, and she strode towards Qiao Yu, not bothering to lower her voice, "Did they bully you?"
Qiao Yu shook her head, then looked up as if to nod, but hesitated and ultimately didn't dare.
How could Mrs. Qiao not understand, having given birth to her own child? She immediately grasped the situation. Her cool gaze swept over the two of them, and Qiao Yu suddenly noticed that Lu Shangyi's leg was...healed?!
She strode towards me and greeted me, "Hello, Auntie."
"Auntie?" Mrs. Qiao was somewhat displeased with this form of address. Qiao Yu blinked and kindly offered to help Lu Shangyi, "Then how about calling me Mom?"
Madam Qiao suddenly wished she could dig out Qiao Yu's head to see what was inside. Lu Shangyi couldn't bring herself to call her "Mom." Madam Qiao glared at Qiao Yu and said, "Go back to your own home and stop hanging around in front of me."
It hurt her eyes from the light.
Qiao Yu immediately objected, "What do you mean 'your home' and 'my home'? Wherever you are, that's where my home is." She shamelessly pounced on her, "I want to follow you."
Unable to shake her off, Madam Qiao had no choice but to drag her into the courtyard, with Bai Yiyu and Lu Shangyi following closely behind. Once Qiao Yu finally let go, Madam Qiao had a chance to catch her breath. She turned and stared at Lu Shangyi and Bai Yiyu, two women with outstanding temperament and stunning looks, expressionless, "What are you doing here?"
Bai Yiyu and Madam Qiao have been old friends for many years, so she was even more relaxed than at home. "I'm just here for a meal, and I also want to discuss something with you."
Madam Qiao then looked at Lu Shangyi. Lu Shangyi pointed at Qiao Yu, "Yu Yu said she wants to give me a welcome dinner."
Qiao Yu immediately nodded, "That's true."
Not knowing what to say to her, Mrs. Qiao had no choice but to keep the two of them. Fortunately, Aunt Zhang had made preparations in advance, and there was more than enough food for the three of them.

"President Ye?" Mrs. Qiao looked up. "Which President Ye?"
Aunt Zhang wiped her hands. "And which other President Ye? Isn't he Ye Yunjian, one of Yu Yu's four eligible marriage partners?"
A suitable marriage partner? Lu Shangyi and Bai Yiyu's gazes, seemingly nonchalant yet subtly tinged with danger, both turned towards Qiao Yu. Qiao Yu's chopsticks, which were holding meat, trembled, and she quickly forced a smile. The two women stared at her intently, and Qiao Yu didn't dare to breathe.
Finally, Bai Yiyu broke the suffocating silence, "Your suitable marriage partner is..."

Qiao Yu silently held her breath and dared not speak until Bai Yiyu stared at her so intently that she finally mumbled "Mmm" twice, "I'm not too sure either. My mother took me to get tested, so if you have any questions, just go ahead and ask my mother."
Madam Qiao stared at her speechlessly, wishing she could teach her a lesson on the spot, but fortunately Ye Yunjian appeared in time to interrupt the impending scene of motherly love and filial piety.
Ye Yunjian slowly glanced at Qiao Yu, who had instantly lowered her eyes at the dining table, and smiled enigmatically, "So many people are at home today?"

Qiao Yu suddenly felt a headache coming on when she saw the three women appear before her at the same time. She lowered her head, avoiding eye contact with any of them. She planned to finish her meal quietly and then slip away just as quietly, but Aunt Zhang, who was cooking, suddenly let out a sigh that was clearly audible in the silent atmosphere.
"If Xiao Song and Xiao Jiang come too, the whole family will be together."
