Jiang Wanning said worriedly, "Why did they break up? Manqing was very worried about what was going on at Jiang Yufeng's family. How could they break up so suddenly?"
Lu Jingshen was driving the car, glanced at the worried little girl, and said, "It's okay, the two of them will be together. Do you still want to go to the movies?"
Jiang Wanning shook her head. After calling Manqing twice but failing to get through, she said worriedly, "Lu Jingshen, I'm worried about Manqing. We'll go see her next time. Let's go home first."
Lu Jingshen glanced at the road conditions, then turned the steering wheel and drove into another road.
After they got home, took a shower and cleaned up, Jiang Wanning didn't receive a call from Manqing.
The two of them lay in bed. Jiang Wanning leaned against Lu Jingshen's arms and said worriedly, "Manqing must have been crying, that's why she didn't answer my call. She's very strong. I've never seen her cry since I met her. Lu Jingshen, what do you say we should do? Manqing must be very sad. She finally fell in love with someone."
Lu Jingshen rolled over and buried his head in Jiang Wanning's neck. He whispered, "It's okay. Don't worry. Don't panic. And this is the first time Jiang Yufeng has really fallen in love with someone, so he won't let go."
Jiang Wanning frowned when she heard this and asked, "How could that be? He already said he broke up with Manqing. That bastard, Jiang Yufeng, provoked Manqing, and yet he broke up with her right after a disagreement. Now Manqing is pregnant again. I'm afraid Manqing won't tell Jiang Yufeng."
Lu Jingshen chuckled softly and said slowly, "Don't worry. Men understand men. He was just angry with Su Manqing for a moment and left. Besides, Manqing is pregnant, so they won't separate."
Jiang Wanning was confused when she heard this and asked, "How is that possible? Is breaking up just something you say casually? That's so irresponsible."
Lu Jingshen raised his head, looked at the puzzled little girl beneath him, and chuckled, "Alright, are you sure you want to stay up late at night to discuss other men with me?"
Jiang Wanning pushed him away with both hands, with a hint of anger in her eyes. She was talking to him about serious matters, what was he talking about?
She said dissatisfiedly, "Lu Jingshen, seriously, no, I'm going to Xiyun Ancient Town tomorrow.
Go find Manqing, otherwise I won't be at ease." After saying that, she pushed Lu Jingshen away, turned sideways, and lay on her pillow, ready to sleep. She would get up early tomorrow to book a high-speed train and go find Manqing.
Lu Jingshen was helpless and pinched his brows. He suddenly realized that he really could not compare to Su Manqing in the little girl's heart.
In the darkness, Lu Jingshen frowned, then he turned over, pressed forward, held the little girl's face with both hands, and leaned over to kiss her.
Jiang Wanning was about to go to sleep when she was suddenly attacked by Lu Jingshen. Before she could react, she covered her mouth.
It was unknown how long it was before Lu Jingshen let her go. Jiang Wanning was furious and pushed him away with her weak hands. She said in a soft voice, "Lu Jingshen, you go to the second bedroom to sleep tomorrow. Nothing I say will work this time." Although she said tough words, her voice was so soft that people couldn't help but hold her in their arms and love her.
In the dark night, Lu Jingshen narrowed his eyes slightly, curled his thin lips, and a hint of success flashed in his eyes.
He said in a low voice: "No, except this."
Jiang Wanning pursed her lips and huffed angrily behind him. She was also tired. After a while, the little girl's breathing sounded.
Only then did Lu Jingshen lift the quilt, lie down, hug the little girl in his arms, close his eyes and fall asleep.
Jiang Yufeng drank all night, and he didn't sleep or eat much the previous night. In the second half of the night, his whole stomach started to burn.
Wang Yi was still worried and went upstairs to see it. He quickly called 120 and went to the hospital.
The next morning, Jiang Wanning opened her eyes drowsily when the alarm clock rang. She buried her head in Lu Jingshen's arms again and called out in a soft voice, "Lu Jingshen, get up. It's time for you to go to work."
Lu Jingshen hugged the little girl tightly in his arms and was even more reluctant to get up.
He lowered his head and buried it in the little girl's hair, his voice hoarse and low: "Are you going to Xiyun Ancient Town today?"
Jiang Wanning put her arm around his waist, closed her eyes and leaned into his arms. She replied, "Well, I'm worried about Manqing. I'll go there and be back this afternoon. I have to go to work tomorrow. I'll ask my boss for a day off later."
Lu Jingshen nudged the little girl's hair and said in a low voice, "Go ahead. Be careful and send me a message anytime to let me know where you are. I'm very busy today. I'll ask Li Dong to pick you up when the time comes."
Jiang Wanning nodded.
Xiyun Ancient Town
Last night, Su Manqing sat alone on the balcony. The quiet space magnified her insecurity and uneasiness. She cried silently for a long time, as if she was shedding tears that she had not cried in all these years.
Su Manqingqing woke up early in the morning. It was the baby in her belly that woke her up.
Su Manqing's eyes were swollen, but she was in good spirits and had returned to her previous state.
After washing up, Su Manqing went to have breakfast again. On the way back, she saw a local woman in her fifties holding a hoe and going to the hill in front to dig some bamboo shoots.
Su Manqing suddenly felt like going along to take a look.
The aunt was also very enthusiastic and took Su Manqing to the mountains.
When going down the mountain, the aunt sprained her ankle while carrying bamboo shoots.
Su Manqing helped the aunt down the mountain, but her ankle was obviously swollen.
Su Manqing originally wanted to take her to the city hospital, but the aunt smiled and said, "Miss, please take me to the nearby Chinese medicine clinic. The owner's son is back and has superb medical skills. He's sure he can reduce the swelling quickly."
