Chapter 22 Helping the little girl get a divorce

It was Lu Jingshen's first time to coax a woman, which made him feel a little helpless. In the past, it was always women who coaxed him, and who dared to give him the cold shoulder!

He said calmly: "I can let you get off the car, but you can't hide from me."

Jiang Wanning bit her lips tightly, lowered her eyes and nodded slightly.

She knew that if she didn't agree now, he wouldn't let her get off the car easily.

Lu Jingshen looked at her quietly and unlocked the car. The moment Jiang Wanning heard the lock open, she pushed open the door and ran into the building.

Well, he just nodded, then got scared and smiled faintly and drove away.

Jiang Wanning ran home in one breath, entered the bedroom, and leaned against the door tightly, biting her lip. For a moment, she couldn't control her tears and her body kept shaking. She muttered to herself, "It's okay, it's okay."

I kept building up my mental strength until I calmed down a little and stopped shaking.

On the other side, Lu Jingshen drove directly to the club.

Jiang Yufeng sat casually on a chair, smiling at Lu Jingshen who was sitting on the sofa, and said leisurely, "What? Did you get her? Are you together?"

Lu Jingshen glanced at Jiang Yufeng and said, "Help me contact a divorce lawyer."

"Consult that little girl?"

Lu Jingshen held an unlit cigarette, tapping it on the armrest of the sofa. He said nonchalantly, "Well, by the way, let me check on her so-called husband. I'm not in a position to be here, so please help me deal with him."

His tone was playful: "Okay, I'll help you solve this matter and make sure that the little girl can get a smooth divorce."

"Return to Beijing tomorrow?" Lu Jingshen asked.

Jiang Yufeng sneered, "I want to see what they are going to do this time. By the way, did your grandfather give you a lecture?" Jiang Yufeng nodded and asked,

"He can teach as he pleases. A general is on the march and may not obey the king's orders. Who cares?"

No one can control what he wants to do, unless he himself doesn't want to do it.

When Jiang Wanning got off work, she received a call from home, "Ningning, tomorrow is your grandma's birthday. You and Chengming should come back early tomorrow."

"Mom, he's on a business trip and can't make it back. I'll go back by myself tomorrow," he said a few more words before hanging up the phone.

Jiang Wanning sighed. If her parents knew that she wanted a divorce, she wondered if they would be able to accept it.

I have to worry about her, and I am afraid that her parents will be even more ashamed of her aunts.

Since I was a child, every time I went to my grandma's house, I had to endure the contempt and sarcasm of her aunts towards their family.

She really didn't want to go, but there was nothing she could do. If she didn't go, her grandma would probably scold her parents again, saying that they didn't know how to educate their children and didn't come to their elders' birthday party.

When I got home in the evening, I saw Su Manqing had returned early.

"Why are you back so late? Have you eaten?"

"I finished eating and went to the mall after get off work. I will go home tomorrow."

"What's wrong?" Su Manqing asked.

"Grandma's birthday is tomorrow, so I have to go home," Jiang Wanning said helplessly.

Su Manqing also knew some of her family's troubles, and warned: "Remember, your family doesn't owe them anything, so if you need to turn against them, don't hold it in, or they will think you are easy to bully."

Jiang Wanning nodded firmly. She could suffer injustice here, but she could not let her parents suffer injustice, no matter who it was!

Mother Jiang has retired, but she does not let herself be idle. She also finds a class to attend. She gets several thousand yuan in pension every month plus the money she earns from working.

Mr. Jiang is about to retire in a year or two, and they both know that their daughter's weak personality means she won't have much chance of promotion at work.

They just hope that she can have a stable job and not have too much development. They save all the money they earn for their daughter.

Jiang Wanning walked in and shouted with a smile: "Dad, Mom, I'm back."

When Jiang's mother saw her daughter coming back, she hadn't seen her for a month. She looked at her daughter,

"I've lost some weight. If that doesn't work out, you and Chengming can come back for dinner after work. Mom will cook for you."

I feel a little sorry for my daughter.

Jiang Wanning put down her bag, hugged her mother and said, "I'm not thin at all, it's just that my daughter doesn't eat much." Seeing that her father was not at home,

"Mom, where's my dad?"

"Your dad put the things in the car. Is Chengming on a business trip?" Mother Jiang asked.

Jiang Wanning didn't want to mention Duan Chengming at this time, "Well, he's on a business trip."

Mother Jiang looked at her daughter's face again. Could they have had a fight?

Jiang Wanning avoided Jiang's mother's gaze, opened her bag, and took out a gift. "Mom, I bought a pearl necklace for grandma."

Mother Jiang looked at the pearl necklace and said, "Okay, it's good."

Mother Jiang also understands her mother. Her family thinks everything they buy is a bargain, and it doesn't matter whether they buy it expensive or cheap. After decades, she has grown old and has long let go of the imbalance in her heart. Now she only cares about her own small family.

At this time, Jiang's father came in from outside. When he saw his daughter, he smiled and said, "Ningning,"

Jiang Wanning was only truly happy when she was with her parents. She called out, "Dad,"

"You haven't been here for a month. Come back once every two weeks next time. A month is too long," said Father Jiang, looking at his daughter.

Jiang Wanning nodded, "I understand."

So many things happened in this month, and I was afraid that if I came back, my parents would see me and worry.

"Let's go, it's almost time. Your third aunt said we can just go straight to the restaurant," said Mother Jiang as she put on her coat.

Jiang Wanning and the others went straight to the restaurant. When they arrived, they saw her fourth aunt and her cousin Han Yao sitting in the lobby waiting for them. When they saw them coming, they called out, "Here, second sister, second brother-in-law, you're here quite early too."
