Chapter 4 Who wrote Xiaoyao Tan

After returning to the room and lying down for a while, Chen Bei found that he couldn't fall asleep. He simply took the guitar, paper and pen, and planned to record the Xiaoyao Tan he hummed today.

When the TV series "Legend of Sword and Fairy" was popular, he was still in high school. It has been many years since he last played it, and he had long forgotten some of the chords.

An hour later, the general score was completed, with only some details left to be modified.

Chen Bei stretched, put down his guitar, stood up and went to the balcony, intending to smoke a cigarette to relax.

At this time, Wu Yue just opened the door of the recording studio and walked out.

Both parties were stunned when they met each other, and then Chen Bei raised the cigarette box in his hand and said:

"Not making progress? Want one?"

Wu Yue reached out to take the cigarette, lit it, took a puff, and said:

"Yeah, it wasn't going smoothly. Because of the tight deadlines, the quality of the song was terrible. I recorded a demo this afternoon and sent it to the company, but they weren't satisfied."

"Take your time. It's not something that can be accomplished overnight."

Not to mention that Chen Bei didn't want to help in this kind of situation, even if he really wanted to help, others might not appreciate it, so he could only say it in such a careless manner.

Wu Yue didn't want to talk about work anymore, so he changed the subject and said:

"Boss, your pig's trotters are really well made, without any strange smell. Can you share the secret?"

"Hey, there's no trick to this. It all comes down to whether you're willing to spend the time."

"The pig's trotters should be roasted over a fire first to burn off the hair and hair follicles, then scrubbed clean."

"Then it's time to blanch the pig's trotters. You have to be patient and blanch them with cold water several times. That way the pig's trotters won't have any peculiar smell. Do you like cooking too?"

"Yes, my hobby is cooking. If there is a chance in the future, I will let you taste my cooking skills."

Chen Bei knew that this was just a polite remark. As the owner of a small recording studio, how could he possibly taste the cooking skills of a big star?

He wanted to laugh it off and walk away, but at that moment someone opened the door of the recording studio and walked out.

Chen Bei looked back and saw that it was the man in his forties.

When Chen Bei went in to deliver food just now, he saw him scolding that arrogant musician.

Now that he has come out, the other party is still cursing at him, calling him a piece of trash.

Wu Yue saw this and smiled awkwardly:

"Teacher Miao, please don't be angry. We were in such a rush. It's not Xiao Zhang's fault."

Teacher Miao continued to speak with undiminished anger:

"When the author got into trouble before, I told him to prepare two more songs just in case."

"Look at what crap he came up with today. Can those songs be used as theme songs?"

"If it really doesn't work, let the company think of a solution. They must have a lot of songs, right? Is there any suitable one among them?" Wu Yue continued to comfort her with a smile, as if he was not in a hurry at all.

Teacher Miao's mood finally calmed down a bit. He shook his head helplessly and said:

"The company did collect quite a few songs, but they were all pop music. Our TV series is a costumed martial arts drama, so it's very difficult to find suitable ones."

After saying this, Teacher Miao looked at Chen Bei and said:

"Friend, give me a cigarette. Do you have any wine?"

Chen Bei lazily handed over a cigarette and pointed to the room with the open door.

"There's beer and Coke in the refrigerator. Take as much as you need."

When he heard that there was ice-cold beer available, Teacher Miao felt much better.

He hurried inside and said:

"Okay, remember to buy some more beer tomorrow. I'm afraid we'll be drinking a lot this week."

Wu Yue was a little embarrassed to see his people being so rude.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Miao is known for being impatient, but he's not a bad person. Please put these drinks on the account and we will pay for them when the time comes."

Chen Bei waved his hands and thought to himself, what's the big deal? I'm so happy that you are willing to spend money here.

Speaking of which, this house is still a bit small. It would be great if there was an extra room to use as a small store!

"Would you like a Coke? Consider this a treat, it's free."

Wu Yue was stunned for a moment. It had been a long time since he heard someone say they wanted to treat him to a Coke.

After a moment, he smiled and shook his head:

"Thank you. Although I really want to drink it, I need to manage my figure, so I can't touch this."

Chen Bei nodded to show his understanding:

“So, it’s really not easy for you actors.”

It was unclear what struck Wu Yue about this sentence. He was quite moved and said:

"Yeah, it's not easy for everyone to make money. I find it quite comfortable to chat with you. You are a really nice person."

"Oh my, I'm so honored to have such praise from a big star!"

"I'm serious. I feel like you don't treat me like a celebrity except when we're taking photos."

Chen Bei thought to himself, there are so many celebrities in this world, but I am the only time traveler. Why should I treat you like a treasure?

But just as he was thinking about this, he suddenly heard a scream.

Then Teacher Miao rushed out, clutching a sheet of music, and roared at Chen Bei with red eyes:

"This! Who wrote this Xiaoyao Tan?"
