Chapter 166 Dragon Fruit Garden
He Yanqing walked forward with Zhong Hui on her arm. Zhong Hui looked at Zhou Kai awkwardly and said, "Why don't I take the kids out to play? I don't want to be a third wheel."
He Yanqing giggled: "I don't dislike you."
Zhou Kai was wearing sportswear. He was tall, fair-skinned, and looked like a sunny boy. "Sister Hui, I just help carry the basket."
"Hahahaha, yes, he is very strong, let's go pick dragon fruit." He Yanqing flicked her hair with her hand and laughed freely.
Is that okay? No one cares, so she has nothing to be embarrassed about.
The three of them went to the dragon fruit orchard together. The sunshine was good recently, so the greenhouses in the dragon fruit orchard had been removed. From a distance, they could see the red dragon fruits on the green branches.
"This is my first time picking dragon fruit. The leaves look like cacti."
"Dragon fruit belongs to the cactus family. It is a climbing succulent shrub. It has no leaves. This is its stem." Zhou Kai said softly.
"Wow, Zhou Kai, you know so much." He Yanqing praised.
Zhou Kai smiled slightly: "We talked about it in class."
Zhong Hui tiptoed to pick a large dragon fruit from the tip of the tree. It was bigger than her palm. She thought she might not be able to finish it all by herself.
Seeing that she had finished picking, Zhou Kai considerately handed her the basket: "Sister Hui, put it in there."
Zhong Hui put the dragon fruit into the basket and picked another one and put it in: "Thank you for your hard work, Xiao Zhou."
"It's not hard. I'm just here to have fun."
"Zhou Kai, come here, come quickly, the one up there is so big and too high for me to pick." He Yanqing shouted from the front.
Zhou Kai hurried over with the basket: "I'll be right there."
Zhong Hui looked up and saw He Yanqing leaning against Zhou Kai, pointing at the dragon fruit on the branch with a pretty look on her face.
"Hurry up and pick them. The ones on top are really big and must be sweet."
"Okay, I'll take it off and mark it."
"What's the purpose of making marks?" He Yanqing looked puzzled.
"Don't take the wrong one. This is what you see, you eat it." Zhou Kai looked serious and tore off a piece of green leaf from the dragon fruit.
"That's so thoughtful." He Yanqing tilted her head back and smiled, then suddenly stood on tiptoe and kissed Zhou Kai on the face.
Zhou Kai's face suddenly turned red, and he quickly turned to look at Zhong Hui: "Aqing, this is outside."
"What are you afraid of? No one saw it." He Yanqing said indifferently.
Zhou Kai had no choice but to lean over to He Yanqing's ear and say, "Wait until we get back. Then you can kiss me however you want."
He Yanqing smiled sweetly and motioned him to continue picking dragon fruit.
It was the first time for Zhong Hui to pick dragon fruits, and she was very interested. She didn't want to be a light bulb, so she walked a little further away on purpose. There were more dragon fruits here, and Zhong Hui had five in her hands in a short while, and she couldn't get any more.
She wanted to call out to the two flirting people, but she was afraid of disturbing them. Zhong Hui had no choice but to bring an extra basket earlier.
Zhou Kai trotted over with a basket. Zhong Hui put all the dragon fruits in it, shook her hands and prepared to continue working.
Zhong Hui took a fancy to the one on the branch. It was really huge, bigger than any she had picked before. She stood on tiptoe to reach it excitedly, and even jumped, but still couldn't reach it.
Zhou Kai said: "Sister Hui, do you need help?"
Zhong Hui turned sideways and said, "I can't pick it. You come."
Zhou Kai walked over, took it off with a slight raise of his hand, and handed it to Zhong Hui.
"Tall people are better." Zhong Hui took a look and didn't take it. "Just take it and put it in the basket."
Zhou Kai put the fruits away obediently. When Zhong Hui went forward to pick the fruits, he followed her and helped carry the basket.
