Chapter 200 Interview
Linlin was excited for two days and asked Zhong Hui every day if she had received any phone notification. However, it seemed as if no one had heard from her. Zhong Hui didn't want to ask Teacher Qu, so she had to comfort Linlin and tell her to wait.
After waiting for another two days, she finally received a call from Director Chen, informing Zhong Hui to take Linlin to the Le Méridien Hotel in the city center the next day.
Linlin was so happy that she pulled Zhong Hui and chatted with her, looking forward to filming tomorrow.
Zhong Hui smiled dotingly: "Okay, get a good night's sleep tonight and be refreshed for filming tomorrow."
"Yeah." Linlin nodded heavily.
The next day, Zhong Hui put on some makeup and took Linlin to the Le Méridien Hotel beautifully.
They were received by a young female assistant who took them to a conference room on the sixth floor of the hotel to wait.
"Please wait a moment, Director Chen is interviewing inside."
Zhong Hui was surprised. She thought Linlin was the only one there. After a while, Director Chen came out. He was a middle-aged man wearing glasses.
Following them out was a parent with a little girl. The little girl was about the same age as Linlin. When she saw Zhong Hui and the others, she turned her face away proudly.
The parent smiled friendly and left with his daughter.
"Ms. Zhong, right? Is this your daughter Zhong Linlin?" Director Chen looked at Linlin with scrutiny.
Zhong Hui nodded, and Linlin held Zhong Hui's hand nervously.
"Come in with me." Director Chen said lightly.
Zhong Hui took Linlin into the conference room, where there was also a piano.
"Can you play Happy Birthday?" Director Chen asked Linlin with a stern face.
Linlin was a little nervous, but she nodded and said, "Yes."
This is a very simple piece of music. Teacher Qu doesn't even need to teach her. She can play it just by looking at the score.
"Okay, play it for me." Director Chen sat over and watched Linlin play seriously.
Linlin sat on the piano stool, placed her hands on the keys, and a Happy Birthday song flowed out cheerfully.
In order to make a good impression on Director Chen, Zhong Hui specially dressed Linlin in a white puffy skirt. Looking at her daughter's straight back, Zhong Hui was extremely proud.
Director Chen looked at Linlin's profile seriously. This girl is not bad. Whether she can play the piano well is another matter. She doesn't need to play complicated songs. Simple ones are something that most people who have learned can play.

Linlin looked a bit unhappy after coming out of the conference room. Zhong Hui patted her head and asked, "Why are you unhappy? Weren't you very excited when you came here?"
"Mom, am I behaving badly?"
"No, Mom thinks you did so well. Mom is so proud of you, my daughter. You are really great."
Linlin felt a little embarrassed by Zhong Hui's praise, and smiled with her lips pursed.
