Chapter 50 Big Changes
In the afternoon, Zhong Hui went to the store on time. Afraid of embarrassment, she also called Aunt Meihua.
"Aunt, this man was recommended by my eldest brother. He said he is very reliable."
"Okay, I trust the person Nobita recommended. Wait a minute, I won't bargain with him." Aunt Meihua said generously.
Zhong Hui smiled and licked the lipstick she had applied specially. She didn't know what was going on in her mind.
They soon arrived at the store. Zhong Hui looked up and saw a tall man standing in front of the store with his back to them, sizing up the size of the store.
Zhong Hui's heartbeat quickened. After a moment's hesitation, she called out, "Boss Wu?"
The man turned around, dusty, and said, "Our boss is parking the car. He'll be right here."
"Okay." Zhong Hui nodded with lingering fear, looked at the man's weathered face again, and lowered her eyelids.
Soon, a tall and big man in a windbreaker came over from a distance. Aunt Meihua pulled Zhong Hui, who was still daydreaming, and said, "Is this Boss Wu?"
Zhong Hui looked up suddenly and her heart seemed to skip a beat.
"Are you Zhong Hui?" Wu Xinwei forced a smile, looking a little unfamiliar.
"Wu Xinwei?"
"Yes, I am Wu Xinwei. I haven't seen you for a long time and I hardly recognize you." Wu Xinwei said with a smile.
Zhong Hui smiled. Wu Xinwei hadn't changed much in height, still tall, but he had gained a lot of weight. Now he had a big belly, as if he was eight or nine months pregnant, and his face was as red as a steamed bun. Zhong Hui thought that if she met him on the street, she would definitely not recognize him.
It seemed that the boy in her memory was not so amazing anymore. Zhong Hui suddenly felt relieved. She used to think that if they met again, he would definitely turn around and leave because it would be awkward. But now that they really met again, Zhong Hui was much calmer.
"Yeah, it's been so long since we last met, I don't recognize it anymore." Zhong Hui said, taking out her key and opening the shutter. "It's this shop. I want to turn it into a small shop, similar to a small supermarket..."
Zhong Hui stated all her requests.
Wu Xinwei nodded: "This store is quite spacious, about 40 square meters, right?"
"Forty-three." This is the largest store.
"Okay, I'll make the blueprints tonight according to your requirements, and we'll start the renovation once everything is settled." Wu Xinwei took out a notebook and wrote down all of Zhong Hui's requirements.
Seeing how meticulous he was, Aunt Meihua trusted him even more. After he finished looking around, she immediately called out, "My shop is next door. I'm planning to open a fruit shop. Boss Wu, please take a look and see how I can decorate it."
Zhong Xiong didn't tell Wu Xinwei in advance that there was another store to be renovated. Wu Xinwei was quite surprised to hear this. It was an unexpected surprise. His decoration company had only been established not long ago and had only started taking orders this month, but he received two orders at once.
"Okay, I'll go check it out for you right away." Wu Xinwei quickly agreed.
Aunt Meihua went to open the door, and Zhong Hui followed. They quickly finished the measurement, and Wu Xinwei also wrote down Aunt Meihua's request.
"Then we'll leave first. We'll contact you again tomorrow when the design drawings are out." Wu Xinwei packed up his things and prepared to leave.
Zhong Hui smiled and nodded: "Thank you for the trouble."
"Of course I should thank you. Thank you for taking care of my business."
Zhong Hui smiled without saying anything, and the few of them soon separated.
"Once the store is renovated, I will prepare to open it. It's too boring for me to sit at home doing nothing all day long." Aunt Meihua now wishes the store could be renovated immediately.
"Are you in such a hurry? Have you found the source of goods?" A fruit shop is not like a convenience store where you can just go to the wholesale department for wholesale. The source of fruits is more important.
"Your uncle Xiuye is in charge of this. I'll just look after the store."
"That's great. The division of labor is clear and neither of us has time to rest." Zhong Hui joked.
"That's right. Tingwen and Tingmei are not at home. It's just your uncle Xiuye and I. We stare at each other all day long and are bored to death." Aunt Meihua is also very busy.
"By the way, that Boss Wu I saw just now seemed familiar to me, but I can't remember where I had seen him." Aunt Meihua suddenly said.
"He's my eldest brother's classmate. You might have seen him when he came to our house before," Zhong Hui said. Afraid of Aunt Meihua asking more questions, Zhong Hui quickly changed the subject. "Auntie, did you buy Tingwen's house?"
"No, I'm not in a hurry anyway, so let's put it off for now." Aunt Meihua curled her lips. She didn't want to buy a house and put the woman's name on it.
You haven't even gotten married yet, but you're already thinking about buying a house. If you were already married, it would be understandable to buy a house, but what's the point of buying a house now?
"Yeah, we shouldn't be anxious." Zhong Hui agreed.
When Zhong Hui got home, Yang Fangqin came over as soon as she walked in: "How's it going? Have you agreed on the renovation?"
"It's settled." Zhong Hui changed into slippers and walked inside.
Yang Fangqin came in slippers and followed him directly into the living room: "That Wu Xinwei, is he reliable?"
"He looks okay, and he seems quite mature in his actions."
"That's fine." Yang Fangqin sat down next to Zhong Hui, looking like she had something to say.
"Sister-in-law, just tell me what you want to ask," Zhong Hui said helplessly.
"Hehe, I just want to ask, your eldest brother said, he said Wu Xinwei was very handsome when he was young, especially like Andy Lau, what does he look like now?" Yang Fangqin looked curious.
Zhong Hui snorted. There was no need to guess. Her elder brother must have exposed her past.
“Now, there are some changes.”
"Has there been a big change?" Yang Fangqin asked quickly. After all, Zhong Xiong was quite good-looking when he was young.
"Is it big? Probably from Andy Lau to Guo Degang." Zhong Hui said.
"Well, this change is not just a little bit big." Yang Fangqin said with some regret.
Seeing Yang Fangqin like that, Zhong Hui had a bad feeling and quickly turned around and asked, "Sister-in-law, are you and my eldest brother planning something?"
Yang Fangqin quickly denied it: "No, absolutely not."
"Sister-in-law, according to my observation, when you feel guilty, you will keep blinking. You blinked five times in one sentence just now." Zhong Hui looked into Yang Fangqin's eyes and said slowly.
"Ah? How come I didn't notice?" Yang Fangqin suddenly shut her mouth. Under Zhong Hui's gaze, she could only say, "This is what your eldest brother thought of. He thought you were a little lonely living alone now, so he wanted to match you up."
"He also knows that you have high standards and that the one you want must be good-looking. For example, when you mentioned renovations yesterday, he thought of Wu Xinwei."
"Actually, I don't mean I have to match you two up. I just want you to meet. After all, we knew each other before, right?"
"Sister-in-law, he has been married for a long time, okay?" Zhong Hui was speechless.
"She's divorced. They said they've been divorced for several years. Now she lives with her son." Yang Fangqin said hurriedly.
Zhong Hui waved her hands repeatedly. She was now not interested in Wu Xinwei, and she avoided men with children even more.
If she wants to find one, she's looking for a boyfriend, not a stepmother.
