Chapter 125 Turning the Tables

"This place is so boring, I'm going out for a drive." Zhu Jiaojiao waved the car keys in her hand. She had just asked Zhou Yunmeng for them, as it would be most convenient for her to drive herself.

"This isn't Beichuan City," Cui Li warned her daughter. "Don't cause any trouble."

"Okay." Zhu Jiaojiao waved her hand. "I have dinner plans with my cousin."

"Cousin?"

“Zhu Yibai.” Zhu Jiaojiao smiled. “He’s studying at Xiling Jiaotong University. I just called him.”

Cui Li then stopped trying to stop her.

Zhu Jiaojiao drives very recklessly, sometimes completely ignoring traffic regulations, since fines are nothing to her.

Even after arriving in Xiling City, she continued to do things her own way.

There was a bend ahead, but the driver didn't slow down at all, and ended up knocking down a person riding an electric motorcycle. Fortunately, the other person reacted quickly and abandoned the vehicle the moment they fell, then tumbled towards the side of the road.

Zhu Jiaojiao was startled. She stopped the car, got out, and yelled at the people on the roadside, "Are you trying to scam me? Do you know how expensive my car is? You..."

Han Xiangdong's hands and knees were scraped, but thankfully no bones were broken. However, the person who caused the accident not only refused to admit their mistake but also started cursing. Han Xiangdong was immediately displeased: "Miss, how can you talk like that? I was driving normally. Didn't you see this is a pedestrian crossing? You didn't even slow down when you turned, and now you're trying to shift the blame?"

My sister made him take the driving test and even signed him up. So he went to the driving school to practice every day. He just finished practicing today, but who knew he would run into a road hazard on his way home?

"What do you mean I didn't slow down? How do you know I didn't slow down? You're clearly trying to scam me. So, how much do you want?"

"I'm telling you, I'm not trying to scam you, you've violated traffic rules," Han Xiangdong said with a righteous expression. "So, call the police." He then picked up his phone from the ground and was about to dial 110.

Zhu Jiaojiao didn't care at all. She had connections; surely she could take down this poor guy.

The clerk arrived quickly and took them to the station to make a statement.

Actually, there were surveillance cameras at the intersection, so it was very clear that the car was at fault. However, because of Zhu Jiaojiao's phone call, a leader gave instructions, and in the end, it became Han Xiangdong's case of staged accident and he was to be detained.

Han Xiangdong panicked when he heard this, and finally had no choice but to call Le Yao, because the detention required a family member to come and sign.

Upon hearing this, Le Yao panicked, told everyone, and ran outside.

When the people in the group heard that Sister Lan was in trouble, they all went to help.

"Brother!" As soon as Le Yao entered the station, she rushed to Han Xiangdong's side. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I'm fine, just superficial injuries." Han Xiangdong shook his head and recounted what had happened. "Alan, that young lady is very powerful. If... Mom and Dad are in your care."

"What are you saying? You must believe in freedom and justice in the world!" Le Yao patted Han Xiangdong's shoulder. As long as no one was hurt, she wasn't worried. Then she went to find the staff member in charge, and saw Zhu Jiaojiao sitting there drinking tea. She couldn't help but smile, "It's actually Miss Zhu."

"Han Binglan?" Zhu Jiaojiao stood up abruptly. "Why are you here?"

"Of course I'm here to see how arrogant and domineering you are." Le Yao raised an eyebrow slightly. "The Zhu family is amazing. They can even corrupt public officials in Xiling City. I admire them."
