Chapter 197 I am a mother

"Shuo Shuo cried day and night for the first few days and couldn't be exposed to light... These days, after psychological counseling, he's much better..." Dean Cai sighed, "However, it will probably take a long time for him to completely overcome his psychological trauma."

Le Yao's nose suddenly felt a little sore. She quickly sniffed, then looked up at the ceiling to stop her tears from falling. It took her a long time to calm down before she asked, "Can I go in and see him?"

Dean Cai hesitated for a moment: "He has a violent temper and might hurt people."

"It's nothing," Le Yao shook her head.

"Alright then." Dean Cai opened the door.

The sound of the door opening and closing startled the little guy, but he only lifted his eyelids slightly before continuing to stare blankly.

"Shuo Shuo..." Le Yao slowly walked over and squatted down, calling him in the softest voice she could.

The little guy suddenly looked up, his eyes shining, but when he met Le Yao's face, they dimmed again. He thought he had heard his mother's voice, but the face wasn't his mother's.

"Shuo Shuo..." Le Yao slowly approached, "I'm your mom..."

The little guy looked up again, staring blankly at Le Yao, and suddenly cried out, "Ah..." Then he kept shrinking into the corner, as if he was afraid of something.

Le Yao was startled, but quickly stepped forward and hugged the child: "Shuo Shuo, don't be afraid, don't be afraid, it's okay, it's okay..."

Shuo Shuo was struggling fiercely, crying out in anguish, waving his little hands incessantly.

Le Yao turned her head away, but her small hand left two bloody marks on her neck.

But Le Yao couldn't care less about that. She just kept gently patting the child's back and softly saying, "It's okay, Shuo Shuo, be good..."

Nangong Jue was so frightened that he wanted to rush over, but Dean Cai stopped him: "Lord Jue, don't rush, look."

Nangong Jue looked over again and found that the little guy had calmed down and stopped crying. Instead, he was lying peacefully in Le Yao's arms, and Le Yao was gently patting his back.

"Madam is quite remarkable," Dean Cai smiled. "You know, although he has been slowly recovering these past few days, he is still very resistant to outsiders."

Le Yao finally breathed a sigh of relief: "Shuo Shuo is so good."

"Mom..." Shuo Shuo called softly, "Xiang Xiang..."

"Yes, I'm your mom." Le Yao nodded. "Go to sleep, Mom will stay with you."

The little guy was probably tired, because he actually closed his eyes.

However, a new problem arose: the little one kept clutching Le Yao's clothes and refused to let go. Whenever she was pulled, he would pout and look like he was about to cry.

“Young Madam, it’s very likely that some scent on you is similar to his mother’s, which is why he accepted you,” the psychologist explained. “This is a typical case of emotional dependence.”

Le Yao frowned: "But I can't let him keep pulling me like this."

"Then leave your clothes behind."

"I..." Le Yao thought it was a good idea, but in the middle of summer, she was wearing a T-shirt with her underwear underneath. How could she go out if she took it off?

In the end, Director Cai gave Le Yao a uniform from their welfare home. It was a T-shirt with a logo printed on it, and thankfully it was new and unopened.
