"Han Binglan." Fu Yun Shen was startled and quickly supported her. "Are you... alright?"
"I'm fine." Le Yao shook her head, suppressing the sadness in her heart. "Let's go." Then she went straight to the helicopter that had already started moving.
Fu Yun Shen sighed and boarded the plane as well, hoping that Le Yao would get there and that A Jue would wake up. Otherwise, he was worried that this woman would follow him to the afterlife.
The helicopter took off and flew directly towards the capital. Two hours later, it landed on the roof of a tall building.
When Le Yao came down, she saw Black Hawk waiting there, surrounded by several fully armed personnel. She took a deep breath and walked over: "How... is he?"
"Young Madam, the Lord has been unconscious." Black Hawk's eyes were bloodshot, clearly indicating that he hadn't had a proper rest in a long time.
"Mm." Le Yao nodded. "That guy's tough, he'll be fine." She paused for a moment, then added, "Go to sleep."
"I……"
"Go away!" Le Yao glared at him. "You're already average-looking. If you don't sleep soon, you'll look like an old man. Who do you want to scare to death?"
Black Hawk: ...
Young Madam, please refrain from personal attacks, okay?
Fu Yun Shen's lips twitched, but he still glanced at Black Hawk: "Go and rest. Alan is here, so Ajue should be fine."
Black Hawk nodded.
Fu Yunshen led Le Yao down from the top floor, took the elevator down about three or five floors, and then got out of the elevator. It wasn't that she didn't look at the floor numbers, but that there was no floor number display in the elevator. Instead, it displayed some strange symbols that she couldn't understand.
Nangong Jue lay in the intensive care unit, his body covered in tubes. If it weren't for the wavy lines on the heart monitor next to him, one would easily mistake him for a dead man.
Le Yao didn't want to cry, but she couldn't stop the tears from flowing.
Fu Yunshen personally disinfected Le Yao, then helped her change into a protective suit before bringing her into the ward.
Le Yao stood in front of the hospital bed, looking down at the man lying on it. It took her a long time to stop her tears. Then she sighed and said, "Nangong Jue, I heard you've been sleeping for more than half a month. Do you want to continue like this?"
The man did not react.
Le Yao simply dragged a stool over and sat down, taking his hand in hers: "A-Jue, you have no idea how I've gotten through these past two months. Everyone thought you'd changed your mind..."
She kept talking on and on for over an hour, but the man still didn't react at all, and it was getting dark.
Le Yao had no choice but to come out. After a simple dinner, she was put to rest in a room in the building.
The man in the ward twitched his fingers slightly, but no one noticed.
Although Le Yao was very tired, she couldn't fall asleep. Every time she closed her eyes, she would think of Nangong Jue's lifeless face. To be honest, it was already a miracle that she was still alive. A bullet had hit her in the head; it was simply...
She had made up her mind that even if he never woke up, she would stay with him for the rest of her life. After all, she felt that she could never fall in love with anyone else.
Nothing happened that night. The next morning, Le Yao ate something simple and went to the ward again. After watching the doctor conduct a routine examination on Nangong Jue, she was allowed to enter the ward.
