Chapter 797 Pretending Not to Know

Le Yao originally thought they were going to a hotel, but she found that after the car left the airport, it did not enter the city, but instead headed towards the suburbs.

"Where are we going?" Le Yao couldn't help but ask.

"This public auction is quite large in scale and lasts the longest, half a month. It's inconvenient for us to stay in a hotel, so we'll stay in our own house."

"You own a house here?" Le Yao felt like she was about to become resentful of the rich again.

"Hehe." Nangong Jue laughed, "Wherever there is a branch office, I have purchased property, just for the convenience of coming here to handle things in the future."

“Okay, rich guy.” Le Yao nodded.

“Now it’s all yours.” Nangong Jue whispered in Le Yao’s ear.

"Oh, right." Le Yao chuckled twice. "I didn't realize it just now."

Nangong Jue pinched Le Yao's nose: "So, you're the tycoon."

The two chatted and laughed, and soon the car turned up a small hill and stopped at the top.

"How is it? The environment here is nice, isn't it?" Nangong Jue led Le Yao out of the car.

"Can houses be built on this mountain?" Le Yao looked around; the environment was simply wonderful.

"This mountain belongs to us, why can't we build on it?"

Le Yao was not surprised.

"Alright, let's go inside and take a shower and rest. The auction won't start until the day after tomorrow, so we can go sightseeing tomorrow..."

Le Yao nodded, but when she woke up from her nap, she found that someone else had come. Of course, it was her acquaintance, Hao Kai.

"Sister-in-law, it's been a long time!" Hao Kai jumped up excitedly. "I've come here to treat you to a meal."

“No problem, I’ll cook dinner.” Le Yao nodded. “Order whatever you want. To be honest, I don’t really like the local curry, but we need to have the ingredients.”

"There must be ingredients everywhere!" Hao Kai almost cheered. "It was worth the long journey..."

Dinner was really plentiful; everyone was stuffed, and no one could eat dessert afterwards.

Le Yao then cooked another pot of hawthorn soup for everyone to aid digestion.

The next day, Nangong Jue took Le Yao to visit various scenic spots.

Then, in a temple, Yueyao unexpectedly spotted a familiar face and instinctively wanted to call out to him, but Nangong Jue grabbed her arm.

“Ah Jue, that’s not black…”

"Pretend we don't know each other." Nangong Jue embraced her and walked out.

It was only then that Le Yao realized that Black Hawk was sent by Nangong Jue to investigate her background, so he was likely infiltrated into some group. If she had called him earlier, she might have exposed him.

Oh dear, luckily Nangong Jue reacted quickly. It seems I'm really not suited to be a policeman.

However, she became much more vigilant from then on, determined not to hold anyone back, even if she couldn't help.

Black Hawk merely glanced at Nangong Jue and Le Yao before accompanying Sang Ya, who had finished offering incense, as they walked out.

"Ahei, do you know how to gamble on stones?" Sanya took the initiative to link arms with Black Eagle. She came here specifically for the public auction, mainly to have some fun, and of course, also to cultivate a relationship with Black Eagle.

Black Hawk shook his head: "Never had any contact with them."

“Then we’re going to have some real fun this time,” Sangya laughed. “Who knows, we might just be able to make a big bet.”

"Whatever makes you happy."

Sanya reached out and pinched Black Hawk's chin: "Get well soon, Ah Hei. Don't forget, you still owe me a night's sleep. I can't wait to sleep with you."
