Byron probably didn't expect Yue Yao to reject him so decisively. For a moment, he couldn't hide the surprise on his face and in his eyes, but he quickly recovered: "That's a pity."
"How about I dance with you?" Nangong Jue suddenly asked.
"This..." Byron's eyes lit up, but he hesitated before speaking, "Isn't this a bit inappropriate?"
“We don’t do ballroom dancing, so what’s wrong with that?” Nangong Jue raised an eyebrow slightly. “Don’t you Westerners particularly like street dance? There’s nothing wrong with a battle, right? I think I’m pretty good at it.”
Le Yao's eyes widened in shock. Good heavens, what did she just hear? Street dance? This was quite unbelievable, especially at a company dinner. Was the Duke about to let loose?
“In that case… then please.” A glint of light flashed in Byron’s eyes.
Nangong Jue stood up, took off his tuxedo that matched Le Yao's dress, and also removed his tie.
Fang Ming, who was standing nearby, had already notified the sound control team, and the melodious dance music stopped. Everyone who was dancing stopped and left the dance floor, then waited curiously, wondering what was going to happen.
Byron also took off his suit and tie and walked onto the dance floor with Nangong Jue.
The people around immediately opened their eyes and mouths to their widest extent, and then everyone had an excited look on their faces.
Soon, lively and rhythmic music started playing, and the two men, still wearing shirts and trousers, actually started dancing street dance. They were able to do hip-hop and breakdancing with ease, and even occasionally performed high-difficulty moves such as somersaults and spins. You really couldn't tell that these two men were both over thirty years old.
"Han Binglan, it's just dancing with someone, and you're making all sorts of excuses." Ai Chen glared at Le Yao resentfully. "You really forced A-Jue to do it..."
"I'd like to." Le Yao frowned; this woman really had something wrong with her head.
"Do you even know who Byron is? What's wrong with dancing?"
"Whatever, I don't want to." Nangong Jue rolled her eyes at Ai Chen, then lifted her skirt and ran to the edge of the dance floor. "Honey, you're so handsome..." There was no way around it, he really was handsome.
When the people around saw Le Yao scream, they all screamed along with her, and in an instant, the originally elegant and dignified ball turned into a temple fair.
About ten minutes later, Byron was the first to stop, which meant he was admitting defeat.
Nangong Jue also stopped with a dashing pose.
A round of enthusiastic applause immediately erupted from the crowd.
“Ah Jue, you’re still so…charming.” Byron patted Nangong Jue on the shoulder. “It reminds me of fifteen years ago…”
"Let's not dwell on the past. We have to move on." Nangong Jue smiled and then walked towards Le Yao.
"Husband..." Le Yao excitedly hugged Nangong Jue tightly, "You're amazing..."
I'm sweaty.
"It's okay, I don't mind." Le Yao excitedly hugged him and kissed him.
Nangong Jue then pressed Le Yao down and kissed her hard for a while before letting go.
The people around immediately burst into laughter.
Le Yao blushed deeply.
"Alright, everyone, let's continue." Nangong Jue raised his hand to indicate, "Eat well, drink well, have fun. Everyone can experience all the hotel's activities for free today. Back to work hard tomorrow."
