Chapter 805 Hai Dongyang

Le Yao frowned slightly.

Yuan Bin went out and returned quickly. It was Hai Shao from the LY Group who was unwilling to give up and chased after him.

Le Yao gestured for Tao Qing to put the imperial green glass away, then took out her makeup box to examine her face. She then deepened her skin tone and used eyeliner to add a few inconspicuous but absolutely not-too-obvious freckles to her face. She also put on a pair of large, squinty glasses before signaling for Hai Shao to come in.

Hai Dongyang raised his hand to smooth his hair, then walked into the house. He had originally thought he would see a beautiful woman, but when he saw Le Yao clearly, he was slightly disappointed. This person was not even as pretty as the female bodyguard beside him. Alas, what a pity for that imperial green jade.

"You wanted to see me?" Le Yao remained seated on the sofa, glancing at Hai Dongyang. "What's up?"

"Hello, ma'am, my name is Hai Dongyang, and I'm the general manager of LY Group." Hai Dongyang took out a gold-embossed business card and handed it over. "Judging from your accent, you must be of Chinese descent. Then we're from the same hometown. My ancestral home is Xiling City." He glanced at the table, where the multi-million dollar stone that had been unearthed was casually tossed onto it.

Le Yao was surprised: "Xiling? I'm quite familiar with that place, but I don't think there's a family with the surname Hai there."

“I was referring to my ancestral home, haha.” Hai Dongyang sat down familiarly. “But my grandfather’s generation left China.”

"Oh." Le Yao nodded. "So, what did you want to see me about?"

“My family’s main business is jewelry, so we naturally need stones. Therefore, I’d like to make a deal with you. Could you give my mother those stones you have? Price isn’t an issue, what do you think…”

"Young Master Hai, I think you might have some misunderstanding about me?" Le Yao raised her hand to stop him from speaking.

"Huh?" Hai Dongyang was taken aback.

"Do I look like someone who's short of money?" Le Yao waved her hand domineeringly. "So, don't talk to me about money."

Hai Dongyang was speechless. What else should we talk about if not money? Feelings? But do we have those?

"You've lived here since you were very young?" Le Yao glanced sideways at Hai Dongyang.

“Sawasdee ka no.” Hai Dongyang blurted out a local phrase.

Le Yao's lips twitched. She understood "Sawasdee ka," but what did adding a "no" mean? Well... she really didn't understand.

Hai Dongyang obviously knew that Le Yao didn't understand, so he smiled and said, "Sawadika is for women only. Men should say 'Sawadika no,' otherwise they will be considered to have a problem with their gender."

Le Yao: ...

Well, I've learned something new.

"Actually, Mandarin is quite popular here, so even though I was born here, my Mandarin is not bad."

Le Yao nodded: "Then let me ask you about someone. If you can tell me, then..." Le Yao glanced at the few stones on the table, reached out and grabbed a piece of Miss Egg's red jade and threw it over, "This is for you."

Hai Dongyang was startled and hurriedly caught the stone. It was a stone worth millions; if processed, its value would double. This woman just gave it to him like that? However, he quickly placed the stone on the table: "I wonder who you want to ask?"

"Before I came here, a local told me about a man, the 'Overlord' from decades ago. Do you know his story?"
