Hai Dongyang proposed a hostage exchange location in a valley, at the northernmost part of the Golden Triangle, closest to China, with a river flowing through it.
Nangong Jue personally led the team and escorted Haichao to the designated location.
However, Hai Dongyang was nowhere to be found.
"Young Master Hai, I've arrived," Nangong Jue called him.
"I see you." Hai Dongyang smiled, then hung up the phone.
Nangong Jue glanced around, then made a very subtle gesture before walking up to Hai Chao: "Grandpa, if your grandson doesn't show up, there's nothing we can do. Then..."
Hai Chao has been in a lot of torture these past few days since he was arrested. Although no one beats or scolds him, it's been quite torturous. For example, rousing revolutionary songs have been playing in his cell, making it impossible for him to sleep. As a result, he is in very poor spirits. Hearing Nangong Jue's words, he twitched the corner of his mouth and said, "He will come."

The tide shook its head.
"Young Master Hai, give me the child, and the old man will give him to you," Nangong Jue gestured.
"Okay." Hai Dongyang nodded. "But what about Miss Han?"
Le Yao, who was behind Nangong Jue, took two steps forward.
Hai Dongyang glanced at Le Yao, then waved his hand, and the person holding the child walked forward.
"Wait," Nangong Jue stopped her, "Let me see the child."
Hai Dongyang's eyes flashed for a moment, then he reached out and took the unconscious child, turning him around to let Nangong Jue see his face.
The little guy had his eyes closed, and he looked almost exactly like Shuo Shuo. However, Nangong Jue wouldn't be sure just because of that: "Let me see his butt."
Hai Dongyang frowned: "Nangong Jue, what exactly are you trying to do? Do you believe I'll tear him apart?"
"Fine." Nangong Jue snorted coldly, then pulled out a weapon and pressed it directly against Hai Chao's head. "Let's do it together then."
"You..." Hai Dongyang's face contorted for a moment, but he still gave in, though he hesitated to pull down the little guy's pants.
At that moment, Hao Kai's voice came through Nangong Jue's earpiece: "Lord Jue, Shuo Shuo is no longer in Hai Dongyang's hands. The child he's carrying is fake."
Nangong Jue's face darkened: "Hai Dongyang, are you playing me?" Then he led his men to retreat.
“Nangong Jue, Han Binglan, you can’t leave, you’ll all die…” Hai Dongyang laughed twice.
Just then, gunfire erupted outside.
"If I can't leave, you won't survive either." Nangong Jue glanced at Hai Dongyang. "Fool."
