Byron pushed away Mayandi's hand: "Baron, calm down."
Andy gave an awkward laugh: "I really didn't expect that Ah Xiang from back then would leave me with a child. That was the fruit of our love, you know? When I got the news, I felt like I was going crazy... Never mind, you would never understand, because you've never loved anyone..."
“I have never loved anyone, but if I did love someone, I wouldn’t just walk away, much less ignore them for so many years.” Byron glanced at Andy with disdain. “The person has been dead for so many years now, who are you trying to impress with this act?”
Melandy was stunned; he had never thought about this before.
"Now, what do you plan to do?" Byron didn't have time to watch him dazed.
“I…I want to see her.” Myandi’s eyes were firm. “She is my daughter. I’ve missed more than twenty years of her life, and I want to make it up to her.”
“Sigh.” Byron sighed. “Have you thought about this? She won’t see you now. Will she accept your compensation?” He paused for a moment. “I’m telling you this so you won’t stay in the dark. I want her to understand what’s going on.”
“Death?” Mayandi was startled. “You’re going to kill her? No, not you, then…” His expression changed instantly; he knew who wanted to kill her.
Once Byron realized he understood, he stopped paying attention to him and turned to leave.
Le Yao didn't take Mei Andi's matter to heart at all, because she never wanted to have anything to do with the Mei family. So what if she was his daughter? He hadn't cared about her for so many years, and his wife even tried to kill her from time to time. She would be an idiot to get involved with him.
The reason they wanted to kill her is easy to guess; they were probably afraid of dividing the family property.
She's worth billions now; she could never spend it all, not even in this life, let alone the next.
Her biggest worry right now is Shuo Shuo. The child already had post-traumatic stress disorder and autism, which was finally cured. Now that he's been kidnapped, it might trigger it again, which would be a real problem.
Don't let her catch that awful person, or I'll kick his balls to pieces.
Just as Byron returned to his lodgings, he suddenly felt a chill in his crotch and instinctively tightened his legs, thinking to himself, "Could someone be eyeing me?"
Undeterred, Andy had her assistant find out that Yue Yao owned a restaurant and planned to go there. The restaurant was open to the public, so she was sure she would be able to find her once she got there.
However, as soon as he reached the parking lot downstairs, a car blocked his way, and someone he didn't really want to see got out of the car.
“Darling, you went all this way without even telling me?” Princess Diana, wearing a long camel-colored wool coat, a matching beret, and gloves, walked over in her high heels. “After all, we’re a legally married couple.”
“Your Highness, this is not a place for you,” Mayandi sighed.
"I shouldn't have come, but did you have to?" Diana's face darkened.
“Dina, Ah Xiang is dead. I’ve been more restrained these past few years, so why can’t you let that child go?” Mayandi’s face darkened, and she lowered her voice slightly. “Don’t think I don’t know that you killed Ah Xiang back then.”
