Chapter 10 The Little Frequent Visitor to the House

Jiang Tong shielded herself from the harsh criticism and cold stares from the outside world, creating a relatively quiet and stable environment for the mother and daughter, and temporarily putting aside all their worries.

Take a moment to calm down.

She now enjoys a peaceful life, and still gets up at six o'clock every day.

Then turn on the floor cleaning robot.

It was something she had always wanted to buy, but her former in-laws had always prevented her from doing so.

They think she's a waste of money.

Now she has bought a full range of home appliances, such as a dishwasher, a robot vacuum and mop, a window cleaning robot, and an air purifier.

Completely free your hands.

The remaining time can be used to rest or to earn more money.

The reasoning is very simple.

But living in that kind of environment for a long time really makes your mind go numb, you can't understand anything, and you can only keep giving in and getting stuck on trivial matters.

Now that I'm divorced, everything feels so much clearer, and my mind is much more lucid.

Jiang Tong rarely hums a little tune while making breakfast. She cooks some wontons for the children, which she makes herself. The wrappers are thin and the fillings are generous. The meat and shrimp fillings are very sweet and delicious. Hanhan loves to eat them, and of course, Jiang Tong herself likes them too.

But when I think of Peipei occasionally, my heart aches.

At exactly seven o'clock.

The doorbell rang right on time.

Sure enough, it was Zhou Jiaqi, that little brat, who came over to freeload breakfast.

Jiang Tong's cooking skills are impeccable.

She often cooks delicious food for her child, and after Qiqi tried it once, he fell in love with her cooking and now he eats with her every day.

Jiang Tong was quite welcoming.

Hanhan has gained a new friend with whom she can get along peacefully, which is great.

The old butler remained as polite as ever, and he quickly smiled and said, "I'm sorry to have troubled you."

Jiang Tong opened the door and let Qi Qi in, smiling as she said, "No, you're busy. I'll just take them both to kindergarten later."

It was something I did on the way.

The old butler nodded in agreement and magically produced a basket of fruits, vegetables, and meats from behind him. "These are for you, Madam. Please accept them."

He said that his young master eats at her place every day, and they all feel embarrassed, so they can't come empty-handed, so they bring just a little something.

Jiang Tong couldn't refuse and had no choice but to accept it, which left her both amused and exasperated.

She carried it to the kitchen.

Discovering that the room was filled with palm-sized shrimp and huge blueberries—all high-quality ingredients—one couldn't help but marvel at the extravagance.

Since the ingredients were already there, she simply washed another bowl of fruit.

The two children ate with great relish.

Zhou Jiaqi, who doesn't eat vegetables and fruits at home, immediately developed a better appetite after coming to Jiang Tong's place and having Hanhan with him.

They have to fight over who gets the best deal!

Jiang Tong ate breakfast with the two children before taking them to kindergarten, one in each hand.

Zhou Jiaqi loves to share. On the way, he chattered on and on, "Lia in our class is a crybaby. She always likes to cling to Hanhan, but Hanhan doesn't like crybabies. Hanhan likes me the most!"

Jiang Tong was amused, and Hanhan would calmly say in her childish voice, "You're talking nonsense. I like Mommy the most, I love Mommy the most."

Her love was unwavering.

Hanhan loves her mommy the most.

Zhou Jiaqi was also very good-natured. Hearing this, he didn't cry. He just whimpered, "Then besides your mommy, you must like me the second most! And your mommy isn't at kindergarten, so you still like me the most at kindergarten, right?"

It's amazing that it managed to come back around.

This kid's logic is pretty good, huh?

Jiang Tong was overjoyed to hear their innocent and childlike words.

Hanhan suddenly realized there was nothing wrong with it, so she calmly nodded and said, "You're right, but if you keep crying, I won't like you either."

Jiang Tong burst out laughing. Oh dear, kids are really fun.

——

When Zhou Yuansheng passed by, he saw this scene: a tall and gentle woman holding the hands of two little babies. The little girl was steady, while the little boy was jumping around, looking up and smiling as he acted coquettishly.

It was a very heartwarming scene.

Jiang Tong wore a light blue vest dress today, showing off her beautifully slender arms, delicate back, and fair neck.

Her long, black hair was tied up with a wooden hairpin, giving it a casual and elegant feel, making her look like a beauty from a traditional Chinese ink painting, with a natural and tender charm.

Her face is that of a standard beauty. Recently, after taking supplements, her complexion has gradually recovered, and she looks much more radiant. Her smile is also so serene and beautiful.

The driver politely asked, "Mr. Zhou, would you like to give the young master a ride?"

Looking at the lively little boy, Zhou Yuansheng calmly said, "No need." He felt that his son was quite happy following the other person.

There's nothing wrong with getting some exercise.

As a high-ranking official, Zhou Yuansheng was always cautious. He had already found out about the woman's identity some time ago; she was just a newly divorced single mother. From their brief interaction, she seemed to be a very sensible person.

There's nothing to be wary of.

Thinking this to myself, I couldn't help but glance back one more time.

...

Jiang Tong handed the two children over to the kindergarten teacher and said goodbye to them.

Seeing Qiqi take Hanhan's hand and Hanhan not refuse, she felt quite comforted. Hanhan had been quite lonely before, and now that she could make a new friend, as her mother, she was naturally happy for her.

After dropping off the kids, Jiang Tong finally had some time to herself. She went to the shopping mall next door to buy some picture books and vegetables for Hanhan.

After tidying up the refrigerator, I got back to work on my illustration career.

The new home has three bedrooms and one living room. The mother and daughter each have their own room, and there is still one empty room. Jiang Tong arranged to work in her bedroom and added a super large desk.
