Chapter 122 Grandpa Jiang

Jiang Tong agreed.

The kind-hearted neighbor grandma smiled and asked, "Did you bring a friend home to play? Bring him over for a visit later!"

Jiang Tong smiled and agreed.

Although there are some rumors in the village, overall it's not too bad.

Those who have a good relationship form their own faction.

Her grandparents were well-liked, and the neighbors and villagers around them would help them out.

As a result, Jiang Tong will also be treated well by the elders.

Jiang Tong led Zhou Yuansheng into the room, which was a very clean living room. The wooden sofa was a bit mottled and not made of good wood, but it looked clean and comfortable with the cushions. A big, fat calico cat was lying on it.

Hanhan and Peipei were still playing with Zhou Jiaqi and the big black dog when Jiang Tong asked Zhou Yuansheng to sit down and then picked up the big fat cat and moved it to a different spot.

"This cat is called Big Flower. It's my grandma's pet. It's not afraid of people. Please have a seat for a while."

As Jiang Tong said this, she found some tea leaves to brew tea for Zhou Yuansheng. Although the two were very close, for some reason, as soon as she returned to her hometown, she couldn't help but greet him.

Zhou Yuansheng couldn't help but laugh when he saw that she treated him like a guest.

And so they could only obediently say yes.

He looked at Jiang Tong's relaxed demeanor, and it seemed that her grandparents' house was special to her.

The big, fat cat beside her looked lazy and wasn't afraid of people at all. Just now, Jiang Tong casually hugged and cuddled it, moved it aside, and it stretched and kicked its legs before turning over and purring to sleep.

Zhou Yuansheng quite liked this small house. Although it wasn't luxurious, it exuded a sense of comfort and security, making him feel very at ease.

"This place is quite nice."

He couldn't help but praise her.

Jiang Tong found the tea bag, turned around and laughed when she heard this, saying, "It's really nice. It's warm in winter and cool in summer, and it's bright and airy outside. It's comfortable whether it's sunny or rainy."

She brought Hanhan to stay with her for a while after her divorce.

I felt completely at ease.

The two elders didn't ask her any deep questions, probably because they could tell she was there to heal her wounds.

Just like when she was a child, after being scolded by her parents, they would quietly stay with her, cook her delicious food, and be as taciturn as her parents. But her grandparents could take care of her in other ways.

Jiang Tong felt no love from her parents. They favored her younger siblings and were always more critical of her, wanting her to make them proud.

It's as if Jiang Tong is their excellent product, an item used to serve as a facade.

Any slight mistake will result in a reprimand.

Jiang Tong had always lived a very repressed life, and only her grandparents' house could provide her with a refuge.

Zhou Yuansheng's extravagant attire instantly elevated the ambiance of this small house, making it look like a scene from a TV series or movie.

Grandpa heard from the kind-hearted neighbor that his granddaughter had returned, so he rushed back first, carrying a basket of freshly baked rice cakes.

Upon entering, I smiled when I saw Hanhan and Peipei, only to discover that there was also a little boy beside them. He was very handsome, with blue eyes.

The car parked in the yard wasn't Jiang Tong's; it was a brand new sedan with shiny black paint.

Hanhan and Peipei both called out "Grandpa!" and then surrounded him, wanting to help him with the basket.

Grandpa Jiang said no, "It'll burn you, you can't lift it."

He reached out and took the top few rice cakes, giving one to each of the three boys.

Hanhan and Peipei grinned.

Zhou Jiaqi was also very curious about the rice cake he had never eaten before. He took it and said in his childish voice, "Thank you, Grandpa!"

The old man was usually stern, but he would smile at the children, holding a basket in one hand and patting their little heads with the other.

The three kids giggled with delight.

The whole courtyard became lively.

The neighbor grandma had sent her grandson to inform Grandpa Jiang, but hearing the commotion, she popped her head out again, laughing and calling out, "Old Jiang? We have to stew some mutton to celebrate today! Your Jiang Tong is back, and she's carrying so many things! What a filial child! I think she comes back even more often than her parents. Look at all this commotion!"

The villagers were well-informed and already knew that Jiang Tong had gotten divorced, but because of Jiang's grandparents, the villagers didn't gossip about it to her face.

The neighbor's grandma had a good relationship with Grandpa and Grandma Jiang. Even though she could tell that the new man Jiang Tong brought back had a complicated relationship, she was still happy for her.

Although people may gossip about a divorce, being able to remarry is a good thing.

In everyone's old mindset.

A woman still needs to get married.

Only then can the bride's family feel at ease!

Grandpa Jiang just smiled. The old man was indeed a man of few words, and the old neighbors knew what kind of people the couple were, so they didn't mind at all.

I just laughed along with them.

Finally, he raised his voice and said, "If you're not going to stew it, I'll stew it tonight. You all come over here to eat!"

Grandpa Jiang then said, "No need, I've stewed some meat for dinner, I'll bring it over to you."

The neighbor lady then laughed and said that the couple really didn't want to trouble others.

Jiang Tong heard the commotion and was about to go find her grandfather.

As soon as Grandpa Jiang lifted the curtain, he saw a handsome man at home.

He paused in his steps.

Observe people discreetly.

Zhou Yuansheng wasn't nervous at first, but after being scrutinized by the old man, he felt a little uneasy, fearing that Grandpa Jiang might be dissatisfied with him.

He never backed down from any business deal, no matter how big, but when it came to Jiang Tong's family, whom she cared about.

So he gets nervous too?

After Zhou Yuansheng discovered this with newfound curiosity, he became even more timid, completely suppressing his imposing aura and trying his best to act like a docile big cat.
