When Jiang Tong brought the food to the table for lunch, Zhou Jiaqi was on the phone with his dad. They were having a nice chat when the little rascal suddenly said in a serious tone, "Daddy, remember to bring some ointment back tonight. Aunt Jiang got bitten by the cat, so please buy some medicine."
As Zhou Jiaqi lay on the back of the sofa saying this, his father on the other end of the phone was startled and immediately said to him, "Jiaqi, give the phone to your Aunt Jiang."
The little brat got off the sofa and trotted off to find Jiang Tong, who was serving rice.
Jiang Tong was still wondering what he wanted to talk about. They had just met in the morning and had a deep conversation last night. She was still a little nervous and scared when she saw him.
She simply said, "Hello?"
She was still carrying a bowl of rice as she walked out when she heard Zhou Yuansheng say, "Jiaqi said you were bitten by a cat? How did you get bitten by a cat? I'll have someone take you to the hospital. Was it a stray cat or someone else's cat in the neighborhood?"
Jiang Tong's face flushed red instantly, she was so embarrassed she felt like she was about to burst into flames. She endured it for a while until she heard Zhou Yuansheng say that Jiaqi had asked him to buy medicine, but he didn't know what to buy for being bitten by a cat, and felt that he still needed to go to the hospital to see a doctor.
Then, finally giving up, she resigned herself to her fate: "No need, why go to the hospital? I was bitten by you, you big cat."
Jiang Tong gritted her teeth as she spoke.
Zhou Yuansheng paused for a second, then remained silent for three seconds before bursting into laughter. He was so amused that he laughed for a long time.
Jiang Tong was also stunned. She had never heard him laugh so heartily before, and she couldn't help but blush. "I told you not to kiss me like that! This is all your fault!"
