Chapter 73 Conversation with Peipei

Nothing happened that night, of course.

Zhou Yuansheng had a strong will; he did not touch Jiang Tong again. Instead, halfway through the meal, he started talking to Jiang Tong about her feelings.

Jiang Tong hesitated for a moment, but still told him what had happened. Zhou Yuansheng reassured her that she didn't need to worry, and that Xu Huaiyuan definitely couldn't take Peipei away.

His firm tone inexplicably relieved her, and then Jiang Tong said with a smile, "I didn't intend to let him take Peipei away either. He doesn't deserve to have them."

The daughter will definitely have a miserable life with Xu Huaiyuan, and why should he use his own child to appease his mother? Who knows what that madwoman Wang Chungui might do? Right now, the emotions of their whole family are not very stable.

Zhou Yuansheng simply patted her on the back, telling her to sleep peacefully.

He's there for everyone.

Jiang Tong is really tired.

I fell asleep right away.

The next morning.

After the three children finished eating the breakfast that Uncle He had prepared, they happily skipped downstairs.

Zhou Yuansheng woke up earlier than Jiang Tong.

His biological clock is also very powerful; he had just finished washing up when the three kids opened the door and came in.

Seeing his three excited children, Zhou Yuansheng immediately put his finger up and shushed them, "Mommy is still sleeping, you three are not allowed to make noise, be quiet."

Although the children didn't know about the adults' shameless behavior last night, they could sense the different atmosphere at home. Looking at Zhou Yuansheng, they felt that he exuded a lazy and satisfied sense of ease.

The three kids all blinked.

Looking at the master bedroom from a distance, with the door half-open, you couldn't make out anything.

Zhou Jiaqi hadn't been with his dad all night, so he leaned closer to Zhou Yuansheng and whispered, "Good morning, Daddy. We've finished breakfast."

Hanhan also obediently said, "Good morning, Daddy."

The little guy's eyes were still red; he probably shed a lot of tears last night.

Needless to say, Peipei's eyes were so swollen that she looked like a little cat with small eyes.

I'm not in a good mood today either.

With her head drooping and her spirits low, she said, "Good morning, Uncle Zhou."

It's funny too.

The three children each called themselves something else.

Zhou Yuansheng glanced at Peipei, then greeted the three of them with a smile, "Good morning. Shall I take you to kindergarten this morning? Shall we go first?"

Hanhan glanced towards the bedroom and whispered, "I want to see Mommy."

Zhou Yuansheng raised his hand to pat her little head and told her to go in, just don't wake her mother. As a result, Zhou Jiaqi, that little brat, went along too.

Only Peipei remains.

She didn't know what she was thinking; she wanted to go but didn't want to go, and her eyes reddened again.

He seemed indecisive.

Zhou Yuansheng suddenly spoke up, "Peipei, would you like to have a chat with me?"

Peipei's attention finally returned to reality. She had nightmares all night, dreaming that she had become the willful and reckless person she used to be, pushing her mother to the ground. Hanhan and Zhou Jiaqi ignored her, and Uncle Zhou looked at her with a very serious and terrifying expression.

She was terrified.

But when she saw Uncle Zhou's gentle gaze, she suddenly returned to reality.

I regained some clarity.

Peipei pouted, wiped away her tears, and said like a little adult, "What do you want to talk about?"

Zhou Yuansheng smiled gently.

This brief conversation lasted less than ten minutes, but Jiang Tong was woken up by Hanhan and Zhou Jiaqi in the bedroom. It wasn't that the children were making a fuss, but mothers are light sleepers and are especially sensitive to their own children's voices.

The hushed noises from Hanhan and Zhou Jiaqi woke her up.

The two kids are still feeling guilty.

Hanhan raised her hand to touch her mother's somewhat tired face and whispered, "Mommy, did I wake you up?"

The little one is quite young.

But she really knows how to care for people.

Jiang Tong's heart softened.

Zhou Jiaqi said in a flustered voice, "I'm sorry, Aunt Jiang, we woke you up."

The children all heard Jiang Tong arguing with someone yesterday, so they were all very afraid that she would be upset.

Jiang Tong reached out and patted their little heads. She leaned against the pillow and smiled sweetly, "How could I? Why should I apologize? The first thing I saw when I woke up was the two of you, and I felt so happy. Who wouldn't be happy to see their own darlings as soon as they open their eyes?"

Her voice was a little hoarse, but very gentle, and she had a calming charm when she smiled at them.

It makes the babies feel at ease.

Hanhan smiled and immediately pounced on her mother, acting all cute.

Zhou Jiaqi didn't know why, but he felt a warm glow in his heart. His eyes were bright; this kind of heartwarming scene was exactly what he longed for.

Aunt Jiang is definitely the most perfect mother figure in his heart; he really likes her.

But she wasn't his biological mother.

The little boy was a bit disappointed and at a loss, until Jiang Tong kissed Hanhan's cheek and made her giggle. When she saw him, she smiled and called out to him, "Qiqi? What are you thinking about? Come here, let me hug you too."

Zhou Jiaqi looked up suddenly and saw that his Aunt Jiang was also smiling gently and reaching out to him. He immediately grinned and followed Hanhan's example, climbing onto the bed and falling down next to his Aunt Jiang.

The bed smelled familiar, a light and refreshing scent of laundry detergent mixed with his father's fragrance—it was all very comforting.

Jiang Tong hugged the two little rascals who had come early in the morning seeking comfort and affection, patting their heads, rubbing their faces, and then patting their little bottoms.

It made the two children giggle.

No child will resist this close physical contact with their mother; it brings them joy.

Jiang Tong suddenly remembered Pei Pei and asked the two of them, "Why didn't Pei Pei come?"
