Chapter 95 Merry Christmas

Zhou Yuansheng smiled and took the three kids away. Before leaving, he hugged Jiang Tong and asked for a kiss.

Jiang Tong couldn't help but chuckle.

After seeing them off, she began preparing the festive meal for the evening.

Everything is fine in the new home.

I've lived here for almost a year now, and this once unfamiliar place is now filled with memories.

The living room is cozy and clean.

Except for the occasional toys left on the coffee table that the three kids were playing with halfway through.

However, they usually only put the game away if they've already agreed to continue playing.

The kitchen was filled with all sorts of seasonings.

Jiang Tong, wearing an apron, hummed a little tune in a good mood as she prepared the ingredients.

Zhou Jiaqi wanted to eat roast turkey. The child just wanted to create a festive atmosphere. However, turkey has a strong smell and the meat is dry. It's not available to buy now, but she can use a regular hen instead. Marinate it in advance and roast it. It will be just as good.

Jiang Tong ordered a batch of ingredients and new seasonings online.

Peipei's strawberry tart was simple enough.

There are ready-made egg tart shells, but she thinks her homemade egg tart filling will taste even better.

After baking, simply pipe cream on top and arrange strawberries.

Hanhan's candied hawthorn is even simpler. She prepares all kinds of fresh fruit, chopping and peeling them as needed, and then coats them with syrup.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds or serve with crushed biscuits, or other candy crumbs.

In this way, all three children's wishes were fulfilled.

Jiang Tong remembered Zhou Yuansheng, but forgot about him, so she sent him a message asking what he wanted to eat.

Zhou Yuansheng, shameless as ever, replied directly: You.

Jiang Tong blushed. Even though no one was home, she still felt incredibly guilty. She replied, "Don't talk nonsense! Tell me properly, what do you want to eat tonight?"

Zhou Yuansheng sent a voice message, which, when opened, revealed his deep laughter: "I love everything you make, I'm not picky about food."

Jiang Tong couldn't help but bite her lip. She didn't know why, but now even hearing his voice made her heart flutter. Maybe being in love really is irrational. She replied: Okay, I understand.

She couldn't help but think maliciously that if she gave him a glass of carrot juice, his complexion would probably be quite beautiful.

Jiang Tong couldn't help but laugh when she thought of his furrowed brows and aggrieved expression.

In the end, we decided to have hot pot.

That way, everyone can eat whatever they want.

Anyway, we have plenty of food at home, so the refrigerator is never empty; it's always stocked with all sorts of food.

Jiang Tong quickly prepared various dishes, planning to eat in the afternoon. The children would be dismissed from school around 2 or 3 pm, so they were destined to eat early tonight. She also planned to invite Uncle He to come over for dinner.

I just don't know if he'll come or not.

Once Jiang Tong had finished preparing everything, she had some free time.

I sit on the sofa and scroll through my phone.

Please reply to this message.

Her colleagues were also celebrating the holiday. Little Fox posted a group photo of herself and her friends going to the movies, while White Dove posted a photo of herself and her boyfriend.

The owl also returned home and posted a silly photo of itself waiting for food at home.

The eldest brother posted a miserable update saying that everyone else was celebrating the holiday while he was the only one working.

Jiang Tong smiled and gave them all a thumbs up. This year, she has taken on many more roles in her life. Compared to her previous lifeless days, things seem completely different. Indeed, the one who traps you is always yourself.

Only when you break free from this cycle can you truly begin to embrace a new chapter in your life.

There wasn't much communication with relatives at home.

Jiang Tong wouldn't actively contact them, but when she saw her younger brother and sister-in-law posting updates about taking their children out to play, she quietly gave them a like.

Her parents can be vaguely seen in the video, playing with their grandson.

It seems like they're happy even without me?

Never mind then.

Jiang Tong ignored these unpleasant things, then exited her WeChat Moments and checked Weibo. Her latest Weibo post was a group of fans wishing her a Merry Christmas!

She replied with a smile.

This year's harvest has been truly remarkable.

When the three kids came home in the afternoon, the house immediately became lively.

Zhou Jiaqi pounced on Jiang Tong, hugged her leg, and excitedly shouted, "Aunt Jiang, Aunt Jiang! Do you know what? We danced today! Hanhan and I even danced! Peipei didn't dance, hahaha."

As soon as Peipei entered, she shook off the fine snow from her clothes and retorted loudly, "None of them are as pretty as me! I'm not dancing with them! You stole my sister, okay? Otherwise, I would have danced with my sister! You're so shameless!"

Zhou Jiaqi made a face at Peipei, then pulled Hanhan to wash her hands.

Peipei was so angry that she stomped her feet.

However, she turned around and neatly arranged the shoes of the three kids.

This kid is starting to develop obsessive-compulsive tendencies.

Jiang Tong was both amused and exasperated, but the presence of three more children at home certainly made the house much more lively.

In particular, when she took out the snacks she had prepared for the children, the three of them exclaimed with delight.

Who brought you back?

Jiang Tong watched the three kids fighting over snacks and couldn't help but ask a question.

His eyes kept glancing towards the door.

Why didn't Zhou Yuansheng come back?

Hanhan caught a glimpse of her mother's gaze and immediately grinned, "Daddy went to park the car. The three of us had a race to see who could get home first, so we ran back first."

Peipei, holding the strawberry tart she wanted, was babbling away when she heard this. She nodded and said in her childish voice, "Yes, but Zhou Jiaqi, that sly little devil, got it first! And Mommy! Why does he have a strawberry tart too?"

She was very unhappy.
