Chapter 2: Unable to Power On
The CEO's office on the top floor of the Six Senses Hotel.
"I'll wait for you downstairs." Gao Yinxi hung up the phone and asked the operations director she had been talking to to leave first. "I'll call you when I'm free later."
The operations director stood up respectfully. "I will revise the part you just told me and send it to you later."
"No rush." Gao Yinxi held her phone. "First, give me the plan for the competition in Macau next month and let me go over it again."
The two walked out of the office one after the other.
After going downstairs, Gao Yinxi ran into the hotel lobby manager who wanted to go upstairs to find her as soon as she stepped out of the elevator.
"Mr. Gao, would you like to have dinner with us tonight?"
"No, thank you."

The car came to a smooth stop in front of the Six Senses Hotel.
Li Chi'an opened the car door, and Gao Yinxi, who had been waiting at the door, came over. She immediately noticed Li Chi'an's bare feet. "Don't get out of the car yet. I'll have someone get you a pair of slippers."
"Excuse me, could you please wait a little longer?" Li Chi'an got back into the car.
No rush.
Gao Yinxi came to pick her up in person, which didn't seem like she was there to catch them cheating.
The driver's voice was surprisingly pleasant, like a stream in early spring, carrying the scent of unmelted snow.
Li Chi looked up in surprise and saw the driver sitting upright with his back to her, his face with distinct features, his jawline as sharp as a stroke of ink.
After instructing the staff, Gao Yinxi stepped forward and took the bag and gift bag from Li Chi'an's hands. "Why are you carrying two bags?"
"I'll tell you later," Li Chian said softly.
A short while later, hotel staff brought over bath towels and slippers.
Gao Yinxi wrapped the soaking wet Li Chi'an in a bath towel, then turned and called to the young security guard standing by the door, "Xiao Wang, could you please come and help me carry Chi'an to my office?"
"It is easy to maintain what is at peace, and easy to plan when there are no signs of trouble."
"That's a good name," the young man thought to himself after hearing Gao Yinxi's words.
"Me?" The security guard, covered in acne, was dumbfounded.
"It's you." Gao Yinxi looked at the nervous security guard and said helplessly, "Come here."
Just then, another tall, handsome young man, also dressed in a security guard uniform, walked out of the door.
"Sister, did Sister Chi'an hurt her foot?"
"Where did you just go?" Gao Yinxi asked her younger brother, giving him instructions. "Xiao Wang won't carry you, you do it."
Gao Yanshu strode over to Li Chian's side in a few steps.
Li Chi'an struggled to get out of the car by himself, saying, "No need, I can walk by myself."
Gao Yinxi raised her hand and blocked the car. "Don't move."
He then turned to Gao Yanshu and said, "Take him away."
Gao Yanshu looked at Li Chi'an and grinned, "Don't worry, Sister Chi'an, I can easily hug you."
He was 1.9 meters tall and had just returned from military service. He was at the peak of his physical strength and energy, and it was indeed easy for him to lift Li Chi'an up.
Li Chian and Gao Yinxi have known each other for many years. Having watched Gao Yanshu grow from a primary school student into the tall and strong man he is today, Li Chian felt no embarrassment at being hugged by Gao Yanshu.
Gao Yinxi was about to close the car door when she felt a strong gaze on her. She looked at the driver and said, "How much? I'll pay you."
He was secretly surprised; why did this person look so familiar?
"No need, Mr. Gao."
"You know me?"
"I've met him a few times."
The young man nodded; his superior looks and demeanor made him seem unlikely to be someone who drove cars on the road.
Turning her head, Gao Yinxi thought again, "I'm somewhat of a figure in Xianghai City. I've met countless people. It's nothing to run into someone familiar from time to time."
"Give me the QR code."
The young man did not respond further.
In the blink of an eye, the white Mercedes drove far away.
Gao Yinxi was surprised for a second, then waved to the security guard next to her, "Remember that license plate. Next time you come, you can get a free upgrade to a room."
"Okay, Mr. Gao." Xiao Wang peeked out, snapped a picture with his phone of the departing car's license plate, and said, "I'll coordinate with the front office department in a bit."

Gao Yanshu carried Li Chi'an through the lobby of the Six Senses Hotel, and the eyes of the guests and hotel staff passing by kept falling on them.
A girl was secretly recording with her phone. Gao Yanshu, quick-witted and charming, smiled at her and said, "Beautiful lady, could you please stop filming us?"
Seeing his cheerful smile, the girl pressed on instead of backing down, saying, "I'm very good at taking photos; I have hundreds of thousands of followers online."
What does it matter to me if you have hundreds of thousands of followers? Did I let you film this?
Besides, I have millions of fans across the internet.
Gao Yanshu was speechless, suppressing the smile on his face. "Beautiful lady."
The girl glanced at him a few times and realized he was serious. A deep regret appeared on her round face. "Handsome, I'm really good at taking pictures."
Gao Yanshu and Li Chian were both annoyed by the girl's lack of boundaries.
Just as he was about to deliver a stern speech, a man wearing a baseball cap suddenly bumped into him, knocking the phone out of Li Chi'an's hand and making it fall to the ground with a "thud!"
The screen is broken!
"What's wrong?" Gao Yinxi caught up from behind and saw a group of people gathered at the elevator entrance.
"Mr. Gao..." A hotel staff member walked up to Gao Yinxi and reported softly.
The man in the baseball cap neither apologized nor offered compensation; he simply reached for his phone.
Having already jumped down from Gao Yanshu's arms, Li Chi'an instinctively didn't want a stranger to touch his phone, so he raised his hand to stop him.
Gao Yinxi's eyes widened, and she raised her hand to help block the way. "Sir, you broke our guest's phone. Please go to our security room and discuss a compensation plan with her."
What should have been a normal procedure turned into a sudden leap forward, causing the man to dodge Gao Yinxi and run away.
Gao Yanshu glanced at Li Chian, who was frantically tapping on his phone screen, and then followed after him.
Gao Yinxi ordered her subordinate in a deep voice, "Call the security guards at the door to stop that man."
The guests were taken aback by the sudden turn of events, and murmurs arose among the crowd.
"Is that person a thief?"
"I don't know, it shouldn't be, right?"
Six Senses is a well-known five-star hotel in Xianghai City. If a thief appears so openly, it makes one worry about the hotel's security.
With a crisp "ding," the elevator arrived.
Gao Yinxi walked to the elevator, raised her hand to personally stop the elevator door, and greeted the guests with an elegant smile, "Except for the rooms, all areas of our hotel are under surveillance, so please rest assured that we will handle the emergency that just occurred as soon as possible."
These words promptly calmed the guests and brought their attention back to the man who had fled.
"The elevator has arrived, please come in." The staff member next to her took over the task of calming Gao Yinxi down.
After all the guests had entered the elevator, Gao Yinxi turned around and helped Li Chian, "How's your phone? Is there anything seriously wrong?"
"It won't turn on." Li Chi'an's eyebrows furrowed into a tight knot, and his nostrils twitched slightly. "Is there a phone repair shop nearby?"
