Chapter 182 Murdering Her Husband

After leaving the street chief's house,

Jiang Qingwan patted Mo Yunhan's shoulder and told him to put it down.

"Do you even know how awful you look right now?!"

Mo Yunhan frowned, somewhat annoyed.

Jiang Qingwan could see his worry, and her heart warmed, but she still insisted.

“To save that child, I disrupted the balance of the feng shui arrangement. They'll notice soon; we don't have time. You've found the location, right?”

Mo Yunhan nodded.

"Found it. I'll go in and investigate after I take you back."

"I'll be with you."

Jiang Qingwan grasped his wrist, knowing he would refuse, but she didn't give him the chance.

"The person who set up this feng shui arrangement must have some skills. You might be able to get past the mechanism disc by yourself, but do you know any esoteric arts?"

Mo Yunhan remained silent.

But I was still somewhat unwilling.

"Then we should go back and tell everyone, so they won't come looking for us."

"Need not."

Jiang Qingwan pursed her lips and whistled softly.

Within a few breaths, Xiao Hong darted over.

With its big head tilted to the side, it strolled over with a look of disdain and unease.

This time, instead of pestering Jiang Qingwan, it gently stepped on Mo Yunhan's foot with its paw.

"Is it going to start another fight?"

Mo Yunhan asked.

Jiang Qingwan chuckled.

"It is accepting you."

She pulled a handkerchief from her bosom, bit down hard on Mo Yunhan's finger, and wrote a few lines of text before handing it to Xiao Hong.

"Give it to Lian'er."

Little Red nodded, opened its mouth and caught it, then glanced at Mo Yunhan, turned around and disappeared in a few leaps.

"Can we go now?"

Jiang Qingwan looked up at Mo Yunhan, only to see the man handing over his bitten finger.

"It hurts, blow on it."

Jiang Qingwan rolled her eyes at him without any politeness.

"Should I chop it off for you?"

For some reason, compared to the dignified and gentle young woman he first met, Mo Yunhan felt that this young woman, who was sometimes spoiled and sometimes lively, was more captivating and more real.

He sighed wistfully, but his fingers refused to retract.

"If Your Highness is willing to chop it up, then so be it."

Jiang Qingwan stared in utter horror at his face, which looked as if he had suffered a great injustice, yet was still so handsome that it was impossible to look away. He glared at her angrily.

Mo Yunhan then brought his finger to her lips, as if he wouldn't leave until she blew on it.

By this time, villagers were gradually coming out of the street chief's courtyard, and some people were also heading this way.

Jiang Qingwan was a little anxious and reluctantly leaned over to blow on it.

Is it okay now?

Mo Yunhan nodded solemnly.

"I'm feeling better."

Jiang Qingwan wanted to beat him to death.

That scoundrel didn't even cry out in pain when he was whipped thirty times in the palace.

The street chief went to see his grandson, while his son, Zhao Ting, went to look after Xiaoyun.

With Mo Yunhan's lightness skill, it would be easy for him to sneak into the secret passage without anyone noticing.

Jiang Qingwan glanced at the enshrined stone statue as she passed by.

I felt like I recognized that thing somewhere before.

But I can't remember it right now.

She assumed it was something similar she had encountered during her travels and didn't pay much attention to it.

Inside the dark passage, there was an oil lamp not far apart, and the light was rather dim.

Just as Jiang Qingwan was about to touch the wall, a large hand reached out.

"Holding hands."

"No need, I can manage on my own."

"My fingers hurt."

"...Hold my hand!"

Jiang Qingwan almost ground her teeth.

Looking at the tall, straight figure in front of him, he couldn't help but smile again.

After walking a short distance, Mo Yunhan suddenly stopped, turned around, and made a shushing gesture.

Jiang Qingwan had just nodded when she was pulled into his arms. Her clothes were pulled up, and the next moment, she was lifted into the air and pressed down on the ceiling of the secret passage by Mo Yunhan.

He has support points on his hands and feet.

But Jiang Qingwan is not suitable.

Her body weight pressed completely into Mo Yunhan's arms. She was about to ask what he was going to do.

Then they heard footsteps coming from not far away.

This was followed by complaints from two men.

“We’ve been here for years without any trouble. How did the royal family find us and send a prince to surround us with heavy troops? This is really troublesome.”

"Why did you say the master ordered a night raid on the city gate? Originally, when they attacked the stronghold, it was full of civilians, and the guards they killed were all listed in the household register. If they couldn't find any other clues, they would have left. But now, with so many soldiers dead, doesn't it clearly mean that there's something fishy going on in Qingfeng Stronghold that needs to be investigated?"

"You know nothing! Sir, you are a master. Your mobile phone traps are divine. It would be a loss of prestige not to intimidate them. Those good-for-nothings in the Imperial Court would have wet themselves with fear at the sight of such powerful traps. If they come twice more, they would all have to retreat. Besides, those guards hired by Qingfeng Village cannot die in vain."

...

Two men dressed as ordinary villagers walked by below, talking as they passed.

The light was positioned perfectly between the corner and the two lamps, and they didn't notice Mo Yunhan and his companion above them.

Once their footsteps disappeared, Jiang Qingwan immediately patted Mo Yunhan's chest, signaling him to get down.

Mo Yunhan leaned close to her ear and whispered something.

"They haven't gone far."

Jiang Qingwan's hearing wasn't as sharp as Mo Yunhan's, so she believed it and waited a while longer.

Ask again.

Is it okay now?

Mo Yunhan's breath was still on the tip of her ear, and the sensitive half of her body felt a little numb.
