Jiang Qingwan smiled gently.
"Because the prince is stubborn but soft-hearted, he couldn't bear to throw me into the river to feed the fish."
This made Mo Yunhan laugh in anger.
He turned around, picked her up, and swam towards the middle of the river.
Lian'er screamed in fright and ran a few steps forward.
"Your Highness, Miss."
Jiang Qingwan's body stiffened from the sudden feeling of being lifted into the air, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around Mo Yunhan's neck.
Feeling the night wind rushing by, her body quickly relaxed, obediently limp in his arms, with a casual air of "go ahead and throw me away if you dare."
This completely extinguished Mo Yunhan's temper, who had been prepared to give her a good beating.
Back on shore, he gave her a light pinch on the waist, sounding rather annoyed.

Lian'er, carrying a lantern, followed behind and was so startled by these words that she almost tripped.
He quickly took two steps back.
Jiang Qingwan chuckled softly and rubbed her little hand against the ground again.
"Just touch it."
The tense atmosphere between the two seemed to dissipate.
Yet, a barrier had been erected between them, like a veil, one side filled with joy, the other with pain, and neither was willing to lift that veil.
Mo Yunhan had just carried her back to the courtyard and hadn't even entered the gate when Ye Qi rushed over with a tense expression.
"Your Highness, there is movement outside the city."
