Consort Wan whispered, "Shall we...shall we escape in the chaos?"
Perhaps by escaping the palace, one can still survive.
Su Rongqing said in despair, "All the concubines are registered, along with their families, maternal clans, and even Consort Wan, your sixth son. If you escape, they will all die."
That was said very lightly.
But it struck them like a heavy hammer.
Everyone's faces were deathly pale, and their eyes were lifeless.
Several young people huddled together, weeping uncontrollably.
The sounds of fighting nearby seemed like a death knell.
Zheng Qing and Wang Hao were forced to retreat in defeat.
Soldiers were captured in batches and forced to kneel on the ground.
The two men led their remaining troops toward the Jade Terrace, hoping to use the high platform to slow their defeat and wait for a turning point.
However, they were still overwhelmed and captured.
Mo Shaoqing, holding his blood-stained longsword, looked at the shattered yellow banners and icy jade stones scattered on the ground. Although he didn't know what had happened, judging from the appearance of Su Weichuan and Jiang Qingwan, they must have both been seriously injured.
He slowly approached.
His smile was sinister and smug.
"I'm sorry, you two, but you won't live to see today."
If it weren't for Jiang Qingwan, they could have won over Su Weichuan and used that to curry favor with their father.
But now...
He hoped that the emperor would never return.
"Mo Shaoqing, if you dare to kill Jiang Qingwan, the Ninth Prince will not let you off."
Zheng Qing shouted angrily.
The wound on his shoulder, from which he was stabbed, was still bleeding profusely.
Wang Hao was also seriously injured and struggled desperately, but Su Mingchao kicked him hard.
"The victor is king, the loser is villain; you have no right to speak here."
He walked to Mo Shaoqing's side, cupped his hands and said, "Your Highness, please allow me to personally deal with this old scoundrel Su Weichuan to avenge my father."
His hatred was boundless.
But Su Weichuan kept his head down, unmoved.
It was as if everything in this world was no longer relevant to him.
Jiang Qingwan suddenly coughed up blood, seemingly unable to withstand the blow, and collapsed to her knees, gasping for breath.
Qin Minglang had never seen her like this before.
Unable to bear it, she suddenly sheathed her sword and knelt before Mo Shaoqing.
“Your Highness, Lady Jiang was my first wife. We were deeply in love for many years. It is only because I wronged her that she committed many wrongdoings out of love turned to hatred. She is no longer a threat. I beg Your Highness to bestow her upon me. I will take her back to my residence and train her properly so that she may serve Your Highness in the future.”
Zheng Qing was so angry that he started cursing.
"Shameless scoundrel! She is the Ninth Prince's Consort, a title bestowed by the Emperor! How dare you, a piece of scum, defile her? Mo Shaoqing, she is your Ninth Aunt, a royal daughter-in-law! If she is defiled, what will become of your reputation?"
Su Mingchao sneered from the side.
"Qin Minglang, she is no ordinary person. Once she recovers, are you confident you can control her? If you don't get rid of her now, when will you? Are you going to let a tiger return to the mountain and become a thorn in His Highness's side? You even want to take her back to train her. Do you have some other selfish motive towards His Highness?"
Qin Minglang's heart tightened.
"General Su, His Highness will understand my feelings for him. There is no need for you to sow discord here."
He cupped his hands in greeting again and looked at Mo Shaoqing. Before he could speak, a long sword was handed to him.
"I will naturally see and understand your loyalty to me. Kill her, and you will become my right-hand man. I will never treat you unfairly."
Qin Minglang was stunned.
With his future and the woman before him, he hesitated for only a few moments.
He then raised his hand and grasped the long sword, stood up and looked at Jiang Qingwan, who was clutching her chest, her face as white as paper, in extreme pain, unable to resist or even stand up.
Tender and affectionate.
"Wan'er, we've been husband and wife, I won't let you suffer too much. After your funeral, I will definitely hold a grand ceremony for you, and give you the surname Qin. I will never let you become a lonely ghost."
Jiang Qingwan is now the Ninth Prince's Consort, personally appointed by the Emperor.
He, however, wanted to adopt the surname Qin.
This is not just killing people, it's practically killing people while riding on Mo Yunhan's head.
Such humiliation greatly pleased Mo Shaoqing.
"Let's do it!"
Su Mingchao also raised his longsword, ready to deal with Su Weichuan together, determined not to let Qin Minglang show his loyalty alone.
Zheng Qing and Wang Hao were furious, but there was nothing they could do.
Suddenly, there was a sound of something cutting through the air.
A long sword flew towards them.
The falcon's long cry followed immediately.
"Your Highness!"
"Yun Han!"
Zheng Qing and Wang Hao were overjoyed.
Mo Shaoqing immediately sensed danger, and with a quick movement, he grabbed Su Mingchao, who was about to kill Su Weichuan, and blocked him in front of him.
The long sword pierced straight into Su Mingchao's chest.
I was instantly chilled to the bone.
His eyes widened, and he collapsed to the ground, dying with his eyes wide open, without even having time to groan.
Mo Yunhan's men had already landed on the Jade Qiong Terrace.
Seeing Su Mingchao easily killed, Mo Shaoqing panicked and snatched the long sword from Qin Minglang's hand, pointing it directly at Jiang Qingwan.
"Uncle Ninth Prince, please don't be impulsive. My hands are shaking so badly. If I accidentally cut Aunt Ninth's neck, you'll regret it."
As he spoke, he kicked Qin Minglang hard.
"What are you standing there for? Go and see how many people have come!"
Qin Minglang scrambled to the edge of the Jade Terrace and saw the bright yellow dragon flag already fluttering in.
In his heart, Mo Shaoqing was doomed.
He immediately shouted to the soldiers below the stage, "The Emperor has returned to the palace. Anyone who doesn't want to die, lay down your weapons and do not harm anyone!"
The soldiers below were unaware that it was a rebellion.
Their orders were that someone had broken into the palace, and they were there to kill the traitor.
They looked at each other in bewilderment, completely panicked.
Mo Shaoqing was overjoyed to hear that the Emperor had returned.
I was completely flustered.
