Chapter 6 Wave After Wave

Jiang Qingwan was very strict with him.

He was only allowed to go to the gambling den once a month.

Moreover, Li Dou had to accompany him, and he was not allowed to play anymore once he lost one hundred taels.

He couldn't hold it in any longer.

Now that Jiang Qingwan's dowry has all gone to the Qin family, he has plenty of money to play with.

The celebration banquet ended at 9 PM.

Su Yulan was entangled with Qin Minglang in bed, having taken off all her clothes except for her undergarment, when Zhang suddenly barged in, pushing open the door.

"Minglang, your father is missing."

Su Yulan immediately covered her body with the quilt, her face turning ashen with anger.

"If he's missing, go look for him! Are all those servants outside dead?"

Zhang has been flattered so much today that she's standing up straight.

"How can you talk like that? He's your father-in-law. How come you, as the daughter-in-law, aren't worried at all? Besides, Jiang Qingwan makes calming soup for me and my father-in-law every night. I can't sleep without drinking it."

Su Yulan was so angry she laughed.

"You mean you want me, the county magistrate, to brew you a calming soup? Who gave you the nerve!"

Zhang was about to lash out when Qin Minglang fastened his belt and pushed her out the door.

“Mother, Lan’er is a county princess, a noblewoman. If you want to drink calming soup, have the servants cook it. Father is a grown man, he won’t lose his way. From now on, you must knock before entering my room.”

Zhang was furious. She turned around and slapped the maid across the face, her words carrying a hidden meaning.

"Damn it, don't you know your place? Once you enter the Qin family, you must abide by the Qin family rules. Now get out there and go make some soup!"

The sound of something being smashed came from the room.

"Qin Minglang, get your ass in here!"

Qin Minglang was in a real bind. He quickly urged the servants to take Zhang away before hurriedly entering the room.

"Lan'er, I..."

"Slap! Slap!"

He was slapped twice before he could finish speaking.

"Qin Minglang, mind your own business. I'm not Jiang Qingwan. If you push me too far, I won't be polite."

Qin Minglang had no choice but to resort to the most primitive method: he loosened his belt and pressed the man onto the bed.

The two were having a good time when the door was banged on again.

"General, General, something has happened to the young master."
