"He's really gone?"
Jiang Qingwan smiled at him.
“I destroyed everything of value; he can’t take responsibility for that.”
Ye Qi gave her a thumbs up.
Should we follow suit?
"certainly."
After Jiang Qingwan finished speaking, she suddenly opened her arms to him.
"Are you going to hold me or carry me on your back?"
Ye Qi was so frightened that he almost dropped his sword.
"Jiang Niangzi, have I offended you in some way? If you want me dead, just say so directly. There's no need to beat around the bush. It's quite frightening."
Jiang Qingwan remained silent.
"This is a hidden market in the dark, the roads are so difficult to navigate. He knows it well, but I don't. How am I supposed to follow him? If it weren't for your excellent lightness skill, why would I have called you here?"
Ye Qi took another half step back, shaking his head anxiously.
"Then use that butterfly from before, and let's follow it."
"No, the old tree knows magic, and its master must know even more. The spirit butterfly is easy to spot. Everyone's gone. Stop dawdling and hurry up."
The more she urged him, the more uneasy Ye Qi felt, and he started backing away in fear.
Jiang Qingwan pointed with her small hand.
"Are you forcing me to use force?"
She took a blank talisman out of her purse.
"Have you heard of the puppet talisman? Once you stick the talisman on you, you'll behave obediently."
Ye Qi was caught between a rock and a hard place, his cold face turning bright red, and he almost knelt down before her.
"You seem to know quite a lot."
A deep male voice suddenly rang out.
Seemingly far, yet also near.
Ye Qi felt a huge weight lifted off his shoulders and almost burst into tears. He bowed deeply in the direction from which the voice had come from.
"My lord, you've finally arrived."
He almost ruined his reputation.
