Jiang Qingwan didn't say a word, her face tense, clearly displeased.
Mo Yunhan guessed that she might be jealous because of the horseback riding incident mentioned by Du Luanfeng. He wanted to tease her, but found that she was indifferent. She leaned against him, but didn't even look at him.
This was the first time Mo Yunhan had seen her so angry.
I felt both amused and sweet inside.
He had already planned to return to his residence, change out of his court robes, and take Jiang Qingwan to the outskirts for a horseback ride to relax.
The carriage had just stopped when Liu Ruzhi's voice rang out from outside.
I was very anxious.
"Your Highness, Your Highness, I have urgent business to discuss with you."
Mo Yunhan frowned slightly, lifted the curtain, and helped Jiang Qingwan down from the carriage.
"What brings you here, Lord Liu?"
Jiang Qingwan seemed not to recognize Liu Ruzhi, and continued walking towards the Prince's Mansion.
Liu Ruzhi was stunned for a moment, then quickly stepped forward to stop him and bowed.
"Your Highness, we need your help with this matter."
"According to Luo Ruyan's confession, I captured six spies of the Sui Dynasty in the capital and imprisoned them in the dungeon. They have been interrogated and tortured, but for some reason, they have vanished into thin air. I led the constables to search the entire capital, but we could not find a single clue. Your Highness, this matter is strange. Please enlighten me."
He then bowed deeply again.
Mo Yunhan was somewhat worried and was about to speak when Jiang Qingwan spoke coldly before he could, "What does this have to do with me?"
These words left both of them stunned.
Jiang Qingwan then said, "You lost the prisoner; it's your own dereliction of duty. If you're not capable of being an official, then resign and go home. Do you expect someone else to take the blame for you every time something goes wrong? Whose job is this—yous or mine?"
After she finished speaking, she didn't look at Liu Ruzhi again, took a half step aside, and went straight into the Prince's Mansion.
