Hearing them talking behind his back, Lu Huayu turned around and scattered the documents on his desk: "Can't you see all these orders? Are you blind? If you don't want to work here, then get out."
Everyone else lowered their heads. When Lu Huayu returned home and saw the dimly lit bedroom, he assumed Li Anran had cheated on him and rushed in.
Li Anran was quietly looking at her computer when, around midnight, she ran to the balcony and secretly called her biological father, Li You.
In fact, Lu Huayu was not asleep at all. He was still suspicious of Li Anran and followed her to the balcony.
But Lu Huayu berated her harshly: "You ungrateful wretch! You want to cheat on me without even considering whose house you live in?"
"Are you just lying there like an air bubble?" Li Anran couldn't take it anymore and became Lu Huayu's punching bag. "I'm on the phone with my dad!"
Li Anran knew that Lu Huayu no longer liked or trusted her.
The next day, she called Li You again: "Dad, this is An Ran. Please save me. I'm being held captive at home by Lu Huayu and can't get out."
But all I got was a cold, dismissive hang-up.
Li You only felt disgust for this illegitimate daughter, interfered in Lu Shen's relationship, and even got pregnant with another man's child.
In his heart, he only felt that Li Rou, the daughter born to his wife, was his real daughter. Li Rou asked him, "Whose call was that?"
Li You made an excuse, "Li Anran, I've already hung up." Li Rou was displeased; Li Anran was sitting in the seat of the Lu family's wife, which should have belonged to her.
The only reason Li You didn't expose Li Anran was because of the advantage she could gain from marrying into the Lu family.
