Chen Hu watched the two of them whispering to each other and said fiercely, "Hurry up, if you keep delaying me any longer, the medical expenses will be much higher, and the longer you drag this out, the more serious my internal injuries will become."
While speaking, she held her waist and made groaning noises as she slumped into the chair.
Gu Hao protected Jian Ruoxi, saying, "We'll come back to you after we've discussed this matter."
With that, he grabbed Jian Ruoxi's arm, got into the car, and drove away.
Chen Hu was surprisingly agile at this moment, chasing after the car while cursing, "Shameless bastard, you hit someone and you still want to run away."
Looking at Chen Hu chasing the car through the rearview mirror, Jian Ruoxi was a little worried. "How long is he going to cause trouble?"
Having no other choice, Gu Hao asked, "Besides Su Ziyu, who else is collaborating with you this time?"
Jian Ruoxi pondered for a moment and said, "There is also a former principal who had retired, but was invited by our leaders to return to office."
Gu Hao said, "Since he's the principal, he must have some ability and be quite familiar with the situation in the village. Why don't we go find him together?"
After listening to Gu Hao's analysis, Jian Ruoxi felt that it made sense, so the two went to the principal's hometown.
When he first entered, the principal seemed a little confused: "Isn't this the donor to the Hope Primary School? What does he want with me?"
Jian Ruoxi explained to him, "Chen Hu has been obstructing the construction. He is a local tyrant, and we have no way to deal with him."
Upon hearing the name Chen Hu, the principal understood immediately. He had indeed witnessed the boy's abilities; he was known for his domineering and tyrannical behavior.
Now that the investors had come to him personally, he couldn't just sit idly by; this primary school was the hope of the entire village.
So he said to Jian Ruoxi, "Go find the old man who lives in seclusion in a courtyard house on the edge of the village. His name is Hu Tao."
Jian Ruoxi took out a piece of paper and wrote it down, also making a backup on her phone. "Is there anything special about this Mr. Hu?"
"Hu Tao is the chairman of the Hu Group. His family's influence in the local area is far greater than Chen Hu's. If we can get his help, Chen Hu will definitely bow his head," the principal said.
When Jian Ruoxi heard that there was hope, she turned to go find Hu Tao, but the principal stopped her: "Don't rush, let me finish. Hu Tao is a bit aloof and might make things difficult for you. Besides, he might not even help you."
These words instantly shattered Jian Ruoxi's hopes by half, but at least she still had someone to ask for help.
As soon as the two of them arrived at Hu Tao's door, they saw an old man slowly walking towards the courtyard from outside.
Jian Ruoxi took out the photo on her phone and compared it with the picture. She found that the person was indeed Hu Tao, so she quickly went up to him. "Hello Mr. Hu, I am the sponsor of Hope Primary School. I have something to discuss with you."
However, the old man pretended not to hear and continued walking forward.
Seeing this, Jian Ruoxi blocked his way, thinking that the old man couldn't hear clearly. She pointed to herself and gestured, "I am the sponsor of the primary school."
Unexpectedly, the old man bypassed her, opened the keypad lock and went inside, leaving Jian Ruoxi outside without a second thought.
Jian Ruoxi was a little confused, and Gu Hao said to her, "It seems that this Mr. Hu's personality is not just a little strange. Why don't we go back and ask the principal again?"
Feeling somewhat dejected, Jian Ruoxi had dinner at the principal's house. Seeing her like this, the principal knew that Jian Ruoxi had been turned away and didn't ask any further questions.
“Principal, I just spoke to Mr. Hu, but he completely ignored me,” Jian Ruoxi asked.
The principal shook his head helplessly: "That's just his temper. I don't know how to get him to talk."
Even such a senior villager couldn't communicate with Hu Tao, so Jian Ruoxi had no choice but to bite the bullet and drive to the entrance of the courtyard house to wait. She waited until the next morning and finally managed to catch Hu Tao coming out.
Jian Ruoxi took the initiative to greet him again, but this time she was carrying a bag of eggs: "Hello, Mr. Hu."
Hu Tao did glance at her this time, but immediately turned back home and slammed the door shut.
This time it was Hu Tao's turn to be puzzled. He wondered to himself, where did this little girl come from? He'd never seen her before, yet she'd been waiting at his doorstep the whole time.
Jian Ruoxi was even more puzzled: "What did I do wrong? Was I impolite just now?"
Hearing Jian Ruoxi's questions one after another, Gu Hao could only comfort her first: "You're fine, the process is all right, why don't we think of another way?"
Jian Ruoxi had no choice but to return to the house where she had previously filmed her rural life experience. She found the original owner, Aunt Liu, and asked, "Aunt Liu, do you know Mr. Hu in the courtyard?"
The old woman shouted, "That old eccentric, everyone knows him, he's the chairman of the Hu Group."
“The construction of the Hope Primary School has recently stopped, and I wanted to ask him for help, but Mr. Hu has been ignoring me.” Jian Ruoxi sighed deeply.
The old woman took her hand and led her to her side. "I heard that Hu Tao has rheumatism and is often unwell, but he doesn't want others to talk about it. Why don't you find a good doctor to take a look at him?"
Although Jian Ruoxi wasn't a doctor, she knew that rheumatism was incurable; at most, medication could only provide temporary relief.
Moreover, the condition worsens in rainy weather, making walking difficult. No wonder Hu Tao seemed a bit unsteady on his feet when he went to see him on the first day.
Thinking of the old doctor in her village, Jian Ruoxi returned home to find her mother again.
"Mom, could you take me to see that old doctor again? Someone has rheumatism."
Jian Ruoxi's mother scolded her: "You haven't been back for so long, and when you come back you don't even say hello to your old mother, you turn around and go to find the doctor."
