Chapter 69 is negotiable

"Should we submit our resignations today or wait for the boss to fire us?" The two bodyguards looked at each other, and finally agreed to wait for the decision from above.

As soon as Lu Shengang entered the film and television group's lobby, he immediately attracted the attention of many employees present.

All eyes turned to him, because his fierce aura was so intimidating that even from a distance, they were still afraid and dared not approach.

Lu Shen approached the front desk, tapped the table to bring the receptionist back to her senses, and immediately asked about the group's chairman.

"Which floor is your chairman on?"

The receptionist answered tremblingly, "Chairman, he's on the top floor."

"Hmm." After giving a curt reply, Lu Shen walked out of the elevator.

There were quite a few people standing in front of the elevator, but when they saw him, they all consciously made way for him.

"Ding!" The elevator doors opened, and after Lu Shen went up, none of the Huarui employees dared to follow behind him.

They only breathed a sigh of relief after Lu Shen left.

"Oh my god, I'm so scared! Who is this person? I feel like he's much scarier than the chairman."

Some of the employees were worldly-wise and recognized Lu Shen's identity at a glance.

"He is the current chairman and CEO of the Lu Group, a figure whose words can make the business world tremble."

Upon learning Lu Shen's identity, the employees nearby gasped in shock. "What's this young master Lu doing at our company? Could it be that he's taken a fancy to Hua Rui?"

The people around didn't answer the question, because they didn't know what to say either.

The Lu Group hasn't ventured into the film and television industry simply because they don't want to for the time being. But who can guarantee that the Lu Group won't have any plans in the future?

Lu Shen took the elevator all the way to the top floor.

The top floor was very quiet, with only the chairman's office.

Lu Shen pushed open the door and entered. The chairman of Huarui Group, who was looking at something, immediately closed the webpage.

Upon seeing the person who arrived, the chairman was taken aback. "Young Master Lu, what brings you here so suddenly?"

"What, can't I come?" Lu Shen sat down in front of the chairman without any hesitation.

Lu Shen sat down opposite him, and the chairman couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat.

Could it be that he's interested in Huarui?

He had heard that the Lu Group had been expanding its business empire recently, and his own Huarui might be his next target.

"Of course! I'd be overjoyed if Young Master Lu could come to my company."

"Why didn't you let me know you were coming? I could have come down to meet you."

"No need, I'm just here to take care of something, I'll leave as soon as I'm done."

He was eager to ask Lu Jin about Ruoxi's situation as soon as he got back, and didn't want to waste too much time here.

"I wonder what Mr. Lu wants to do?" the chairman asked tentatively.

Lu Shen placed the information about Jian Ruoxi on the chairman's desk. "I heard that Huarui is about to sign a new batch of artists."

"I want the people listed in the documents to be added to the list of candidates to be signed."

The chairman glanced at the documents briefly and then put them back.

"Young Master Lu, you're right. It's almost time for Huarui to sign new talent."

"But there's one thing you might not know: the artists we're signing are all relatively new to the industry and have great potential for future growth."

"But the actor listed in the information is already a has-been."

If Jian Ruoxi had continued acting in the entertainment industry after terminating her contract with her original company three years ago, her company would have considered signing her.

This artist disappeared for three years and has recently made a comeback. He has achieved some success, but he still does not meet their requirements for signing new artists.

"The chairman still doesn't understand what I just said, and doesn't really know me."

"I just said I was here to take care of some business and would leave as soon as I was done. But if things don't go as planned, guess what I'll do?"

As Lu Shen spoke, he casually tapped the table, and the chairman's heart jumped into his throat with each of Lu Shen's hand gestures.

"Hua Rui has been doing very well in the film and television industry for so many years. Isn't it lonely without any competitors?"

"Do you need me to find one for you?"

"Or perhaps, I should come in person?"

Upon hearing Lu Shen's words, the chairman of Huarui Group turned pale with fright and hurriedly waved his hand at him.

"No, no, no, I wouldn't dare trouble Young Master Lu. Everything is negotiable."

Lu Shen crossed his arms and leaned back lazily in his chair, appearing casual but still not to be underestimated.

"Oh? Can we discuss it?"

"But from what the chairman just said, it seems there's no room for negotiation."

Although Lu Shen was sitting right across from him, he couldn't tell whether the young master was happy or angry from his expression.

Fearing that Young Master Lu would really get angry and deal with him, Hua Rui, the group has really not been easy to develop to this point.

"Of course there's room for maneuver. Let me take another look at the documents."

Under Lu Shen's watchful gaze, the chairman picked up Jian Ruoxi's file again and looked at it once more.

Her attitude was completely different from when she first saw it: "It's really good that she can get such a good response to the TV series she starred in after three years of absence."

"As expected of an award winner, his acting skills can certainly withstand the test of the public."

The chairman tried his best to find words of praise in his mind.

"So?" Lu Shen didn't have the patience to listen to his praise; he just wanted a result.

"Don't worry, Jian Ruoxi's name will definitely be at the seminar for signing artists."

"I'll personally find someone to add her information then."

"Hmm." Lu Shen nodded in satisfaction.

The reason why Huarui has been able to grow and thrive is inseparable from the fact that its chairman knows how to assess the situation.

Now that he had finished his business, he needed to hurry back to get the information he wanted.

Just when the chairman thought he had finally gotten rid of this "plague god," Lu Shen finally spoke up with a warning.

"The Lu Group did not venture into the film and television industry because the elders of the Lu family gave the order."

"But now that she's back in the entertainment industry, I'm bound to make plans for her."

"Chairman, I'm sure you won't let me worry about such a small matter."

Having been in the business world for so many years, the chairman understood Lu Shen's unspoken meaning very well.

"Understood, I understand what Young Master Lu means."

"Don't worry, I will make the best arrangements for Miss Jane."

"How about arranging one of our group's top agents for her?" The current chairman was clearly working under Lu Shen.

"Huarui is your company, you can make the decisions, there's no need to report to me."

Lu Jin hoped to get Ruoxi on Huarui's list of potential signings.

But giving her another push was his wish.

He wanted to make up for what Ruoxi had missed out on by marrying into the Lu family, little by little.
