Chapter 308 The Drunken Girls

Two hours later, under the astonished gazes of the waiters, Qiu Ting finally felt too embarrassed to eat anymore; she was quite full from the buffet.

"Shall we go sing karaoke now?" Cui Jiaying suggested.

She glanced at the TV station not far away across the street, where groups of men and women were frequently walking in. They were probably all Tsinghua University students, going to the TV station to let loose after their exams.

"Let's go."

Qiu Ting followed behind with mixed feelings. She had never been to a place like this before and thought that TV was similar to the legendary bars, with countless men and women crammed into a large hall, jumping around like madmen.

Instead, the waiter led them into a small, enclosed private room, where they could choose which songs to sing from the control panel.

She found it quite fascinating.

At this moment, Cui Jiaying had already started singing into the microphone, and the waiter brought in a few bottles of beer, some snacks, and a fruit platter.

Lin Yanwan sat on the sofa, took out her phone and sent Jiang Xia her current location. She didn't know when she could go back tonight, and Jiang Xia might have to come pick her up later.

"Doggy, have you eaten yet?"

"I ate. I ordered takeout: pickled cabbage and shredded pork noodles."

Are you still at the company?

"Otherwise, my dear wife went out to play by herself, and I had nowhere to go, so I had to work overtime at the company."

Looking at his reply, Lin Yanwan could feel his deep resentment.

"Okay, Sisi and the others will be going home in a couple of days. I'll stay with them. If we're still here after midnight, come pick me up."

"Yes, sir."

Lin Yanwan smiled faintly, put down her phone and saw that Si Si and Cui Jiaying were actually singing a love song together, and their singing skills were quite good.

"Qiu Ting, why aren't you going to request a song?" She turned to look at Qiu Ting.

"Um... I don't know many of these pop songs, and I'm not very good at singing them either," Qiu Ting said shyly.

“It’s okay if you can’t sing. You can follow the original singer and sing it a few times. Are you shy about being with us?” Lin Yanwan said with a smile.

Qiu Ting shook her head. The three older sisters were all very kind to her. It wasn't that she was shy; it was just that it was her first time in a place like this, and she was a little reserved.

"Sister Yanwan, why don't you go sing?"

"I?"

Lin Yanwan sighed with deep feeling. She knew many songs, but she didn't know any of them in this parallel world after her rebirth.

She had looked at the Chinese music charts a long time ago and found that many familiar classic songs were missing. That's why she told Jiang Xia that she wanted to become a singer. With the music library from her previous life, she could easily become a top Chinese singer in this life.

But... never mind, if I have the chance in the future, becoming a music producer wouldn't be bad either.

With the backing of Qitian Animation, even just singing some animation songs can easily make them a hit.

"You two can sing." She smiled slightly, watching Si Si and Cui Jiaying sing back and forth, finding it quite amusing.

She didn't think much of it, after all, the two of them had a good relationship, and sometimes they would even share a bed to sleep. Not to mention, it was perfectly normal for two girls to sing love songs together on TV.

"Hey you two, don't just stand around when you get to the TV station! Either order a song or have a drink!"

Cui Jiaying put down the microphone, filled everyone's glasses, and said excitedly, "Sisters, cheers to our 520 friendship!"

"Jiang Xia won't let me drink alcohol, can I use water instead?" Lin Yanwan looked at the full glass of beer and sighed softly.

"Yanwan, we agreed beforehand that you wouldn't have a boyfriend today. You see, I never drink, but I'm having a drink now~"

Cui Jiaying picked up a wine glass and forcefully handed it to Qiu Ting, saying, "And you, Qiu Ting, the singing fee tonight is on your sister's tab. Don't worry, let's party all night long, woof."

Lin Yanwan and Tang Qiuting exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with helplessness. They simply couldn't resist this guy's insistence, so they could only take a small sip.

She could have refused, but she really didn't want to spoil their fun.

"Hehehe, that's more like it. No matter how much you drink, you all have to finish the two bottles of beer each."

After saying that, Cui Jiaying and Si Si went to have another drinking contest. They also had a singing competition, each singing a line, and whoever couldn't finish the song or sang off-key had to take a sip of alcohol.

Lin Yanwan watched them drink, and she figured they'd be drunk in no time.

Is this what it means to indulge after exams?

The reborn old auntie really doesn't understand.

"Qiu Ting, if you don't drink, drink less, or don't drink at all. If they get drunk later, we'll have to rely on you to take them home," Lin Yanwan said earnestly.

Qiu Ting swallowed hard, nodded, and felt a great sense of responsibility.

After the song ended, Si Si and Cui Jiaying had each drunk about half a glass of wine. Under the rotating lights in the private room, their cheeks were flushed with an intoxicating rosy hue.

"Qiu Ting, go and choose a song for yourself."

Cui Jiaying forcefully shoved the microphone into Qiu Ting's hand. Qiu Ting pursed her lips, took a deep breath, walked to the control panel, and tentatively selected a folk song.

The music style suddenly changed, and the other three were all stunned for a moment, then clapped and laughed.

"Yanwan, why aren't you singing?" Cui Jiaying sat down next to her and asked the same question.

"Okay, I'll go sing a few songs."

Lin Yanwan sat down at the control panel, looked at the list of singers in the music library, and finally settled on Liu Ruoying's "Later".

Si Si handed her the microphone, then sat on the sofa and pulled Cui Jiaying to play a guessing game. The two of them had drunk some wine and were now a little excited.

Afterwards, the two of them pulled Qiu Ting in to play, leaving Lin Yanwan alone, singing songs out of boredom.

A moment later, she glanced back at the three of them. How could Qiu Ting possibly be a match for those two old foxes? With just a few words, she was tricked into drinking beer one after another, and then her face quickly turned red. It seems that having a good appetite doesn't necessarily mean having a good alcohol tolerance.

Lin Yanwan sighed silently. She had miscalculated; it turned out she was the last old woman taking care of people.

"Yingying, do you...go to the toilet?" Si Si was a little drunk and breathed a breath of alcohol at Cui Jiaying.

"Hmm... not yet."

"Let's go together."

"Hmm..."

Si Si forcibly pulled Cui Jiaying away, and the two of them staggered as they pushed open the door of the small bag and headed towards the bathroom outside.

Lin Yanwan glanced at Qiu Ting, who was lying dazedly on the sofa and was already somewhat delirious, and guessed that she probably wouldn't have to stay up all night tonight.

Once they're all drunk, I'll book them a double room at a nearby hotel. That should be enough for tonight, and then she and Jiang Xia can go back to their rented apartment and get a good night's sleep.

...

(Happy Children's Day everyone! Oh, I forgot I'm not a child anymore, but I can have one! Goodnight!)
