Chapter 432 A Household Registration Page

Two days later.

Jiang Wende drove Wang Ming and Shen Ying to Chongqing Jiangbei Airport. Shen Ying's parents also accompanied them. With the Chinese New Year approaching, their daughter was going to the capital city, thousands of miles away, with her boyfriend.

Despite their reluctance, the elderly couple knew that this was for their daughter's own good.

"Dad, Mom, Uncle Jiang, the tickets will be checked soon, let's go in first," Shen Ying said softly.

"Go on, go on. Just remember to call home after you land." Ye Qiuju hugged her daughter.

"Yeah, definitely."

Jiang Wende handed Wang Ming a large bag of vacuum-sealed sausages and cured pork ribs that Xia Shanshan had prepared in advance. Although Jiangxia is not short of money now and can buy ingredients with better flavor, no matter how much money is spent, it can't buy the taste of mom.

"Wang Ming, after you see Jiang Xia and Yan Wan, tell them that no matter how busy they are with work, taking care of their health is the most important thing."

"Okay, Uncle Jiang, I'll make sure you get the message across."

Wang Ming smiled and took the vacuum-sealed bag: "Then we'll be going now. If you have time, come back with Jiang Xia and the others."

"Be careful on the road."

"Uncle Jiang, please take my parents back with you." Shen Ying said gratefully.

Jiang Wende smiled slightly: "From now on, we'll all be family. Don't worry about the trouble. As long as you can take good care of yourselves, your parents won't worry."

"Yes, yes! We will."

Watching the two walk into the waiting hall, Shen Jianjun was slightly dazed. His daughter, whom he had raised for more than ten years, finally had someone she liked.

"Brother Shen, Sister Ye, let's go too, it's time to go back," Jiang Wende said.

"good."

The elderly couple nodded, reluctantly turning their gaze away.

In first class, Wang Ming and Shen Ying held hands tightly, looked at each other, and couldn't hide their smiles, radiating happiness.

Since Shen Ying's parents agreed to let her go to the capital, it meant that they had successfully passed the test with both sets of parents and were just waiting for the right time for the two to get married. If Wang Ming was capable, they might even have two children in a year.

On the plane, Wang Ming suddenly remembered that his father-in-law had handed him an envelope before he left.

He rummaged through his bag, pinched it with his fingers, and found it wasn't very thick; it didn't feel like money to him.

"What is this?" Shen Ying asked after taking a look.

"I don't know either, anyway, it was given to me by your dad." Wang Ming said, slowly tearing open a corner of the envelope. Instead of the familiar Mao Zedong banknote, he found a piece of paper.

He took it out and looked at it, and his face immediately lit up with a smile, while Shen Ying was stunned.

“Honey, look, Uncle Shen gave me the original copy of your household registration page. What does that mean?” he said with a grin, tossing Shen Ying’s household registration page around.

Shen Ying blushed. She had already looked up the procedures required for marriage. The two most important things were nothing more than her ID card and household registration book. She had even thought about the worst-case scenario: if her parents did not agree to her being with Wang Ming, she would go home, steal her household registration book, and elope with him.

Now that his own father has so casually handed over his household registration page to him, the meaning behind it is quite obvious.

From then on, she made her own decisions about marriage, and her parents no longer interfered.

"Hmph, my mom is the head of the household. You still owe her a share." She tilted her chin slightly, her tone carrying a hint of arrogance.

Wang Ming chuckled and said, "That's easy! When we get married, we'll just ask her for it. I don't believe my mother-in-law won't give it to me. You said your mother is the head of the household, and since my father-in-law gave me your household registration page, your mother must have agreed."

"You call your father-in-law and mother-in-law so sweetly," Shen Ying said softly, blushing.

"What?! You're saying you don't want to marry me?" Wang Ming feigned surprise.

Shen Ying: "?"

She retorted angrily, "When did I say that?!"

"Beautiful Miss Shenying, would you be willing to marry me?"

Wang Ming pulled out a beautifully crafted little box that he had prepared beforehand from somewhere. When he opened it, a dazzling diamond ring lay quietly inside.

Although he was on a plane and couldn't kneel down to propose to Shen Ying because he was wearing a seatbelt, Shen Ying couldn't help but cover her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes, her face full of emotion.

"Fool, I've been waiting for this day for a long time..."

By the time the plane landed at Beijing Airport, it was already past 5 p.m.

Li Weiya personally picked up Shen Ying in her newly purchased car. Upon seeing Shen Ying, the future mother-in-law couldn't help but smile.

"It's been so long since I've seen you, Yingying."

"Aunt Li, I miss you so much."

Li Weiya smiled slightly: "You probably won't be going back for the New Year, right?"

"Yes, I've already talked to my parents. I'll go back to see them when I have time," Shen Ying said.

"Mom, where's Lao Jiang? Why didn't he come?" Lao Wang looked around but didn't see Jiang Xia. He was thinking of showing off in front of him, how he had easily brought his wife back.

Li Weiya glanced at him and said irritably, "You, the chief director, took the opportunity to slip away. Doesn't he have to clean up your mess? He's giving an interview at the company right now and doesn't have time."

"Hehehe, I'll treat him to a few meals when I get back to make it up to him," Wang Ming chuckled.

"Alright, get in the car, let's go back to the company first."

After getting into the car, Li Weiya looked in the rearview mirror. Her son and Shen Ying were holding hands tightly. Shen Ying was wearing a diamond ring on the ring finger of her left hand. It was clear that her son's trip had gone smoothly, and all the boasts Wang Ming had made to her a few days ago had come true.
