"I didn't see anyone when I woke up, so I thought you went to the bathroom." Jiang Xia gently hugged her waist, their cheeks brushing together slightly. "How long have you been up here?"
"Just for a little while. I woke up and found it was snowing, so I came upstairs to check," Lin Yanwan said softly.
Her gaze fell on the wintersweet in her garden, where the yellowish-brown flowers were blooming brightly despite the wind and snow.
"You watch it every year, aren't you tired of it yet?"
"The first snowfall is something to look forward to."
Jiang Xia looked up at the swirling snowflakes and took a deep breath: "Baby, we'll be 22 this year. It's been almost four years already."
"What do you want to say?" Lin Yanwan slightly raised her delicate chin and looked at him with a smile.
Jiang Xia lifted her chin, his tone slightly teasing: "Don't you know what I'm trying to say?"
"Huh? What? What do you mean?" Lin Yanwan blinked, knowing full well what was going on, and asked deliberately.
"Still pretending..."
Jiang Xia pinched her soft cheek: "Did we get married right after graduation in our past lives?"
"Hmm, we'll get our marriage certificate on October 10th, which happens to be your birthday," Lin Yanwan said softly, remembering the date very clearly.
The day they signed the divorce papers happened to be her birthday, so for the past few years, the two of them have tacitly agreed to celebrate her birthday the day before.
