Chapter 27 Treating Him Like a Son
After the doctor examined me, he said that this was tonsillitis and that I needed to be given antibiotics.
Xie Ruxin, who finally fell asleep, had to communicate with the doctor.
The doctor finally left and she fell asleep. Just as she fell asleep, she was woken up again. It turned out that she wanted to verify the child's identity with the nurse.
Xie Ruxin: "I'm asking if you can just change the medicine. Can I secretly switch the baby?"
She was almost dying of sleep, her eyes were bloodshot and her face was a little sallow.
The nurse gently explained, "This is for safety reasons and cannot be omitted."
Xie Ruxin yelled angrily, "Are you guys done yet? You're working in three shifts, and I've been up all night. I still need to sleep!"
The nurse remained good-tempered: "After the child's fever subsides, the doctor will change the medicine according to the situation."
"Change the dressing again? It won't heal in a day?" Xie Ruxin scratched her hair, her tone irritable.
The nurse finally changed the liquid and looked up in surprise.
"Children's colds usually get better gradually over a week or so, but the first three days are the hardest. Didn't you know that?"
Xie Ruxin couldn't believe it and suddenly raised her voice, "What did you say, three days?"
She couldn't stand it after only five hours, how could she last three days or even a week?
Isn't she going crazy?!
Unfortunately, before she could get angry, Fu Yicheng was woken up.
The child first looked at the ceiling blankly, then thought of something and started crying.
"Go make me Jade Soup, Bird Balls, and Noodles with Soybean Sauce! I'm hungry!"
His voice was hoarse from crying, so even if he tried with all his strength, his voice was not loud.
But Xie Ruxin was on the verge of collapse and could no longer pretend.
"Eat, eat, eat, what are you eating in the middle of the night?"
Hearing this voice, Fu Yicheng tilted his head in surprise, "Why is it you?"
But soon, he became happy, "Aunt Xinxin, I want to eat tomato-flavored pasta. Go buy it for me."
Xie Ruxin was busy all night, and this guy was not only ungrateful, but he even ordered her around with a clear conscience?
What an ungrateful person!
"I'll ask my assistant to buy it for you when it's daybreak." She said casually.
Fu Yicheng was not satisfied and started crying again, "I don't care, I don't care, I just want to eat!"
He totally didn't understand.
In the past, whenever he was sick, Shen Hanxing would prepare more than a dozen different kinds of meals, but why is that not the case now?
This huge gap made him even more uncomfortable, and he rolled around on the bed in anger.
I accidentally dropped the IV catheter on the back of my hand.
“Ahhh, it hurts, it hurts!”
Fu Yicheng screamed, and blood gushed out from the back of his hand. He shook his hand violently, and blood splashed onto the sheets and quilt, which was extremely horrifying.
The nurse came quickly, stopped the bleeding and reinserted the needle.
Fu Yicheng almost fainted from crying, but Xie Ruxin took advantage of the moment when he was ignored and held down and ran out of the ward.
Only after she closed the door and blocked out the crying did she breathe a sigh of relief.
I looked at my watch.
It’s only four in the morning!
She really couldn't hold on any longer.
If she didn't want to appear like a loving mother in front of Fu Jingheng, she would have hired a nurse or an assistant long ago.
Now, none of the doctors or nurses praised her. Instead, they kept complaining that she didn't know how to take the temperature or prepare urine tests for the children.
Her hands are meant for playing the piano, how can she use them to catch a child's diaper?
And her face was scratched several times by Fu Yicheng that night, and she was worried that it would be disfigured!
After walking around and thinking about it, she finally called her agent.
After the nurse finished giving the injection, she asked her to stay with the patient. She pretended to feel unwell and went to the bathroom, and managed to hide for half an hour.
Only after her agent brought a caregiver over did she run to the hotel across the street to sleep.
Unfortunately, I only slept for two hours before I received a call that Fu Jingheng came to the hospital.
She quickly got up, bought breakfast downstairs, and hurried to the ward.
Fu Jingheng was talking to the doctor about his condition and had not yet gone to see Fu Yicheng.
She breathed a sigh of relief and shook the breakfast in her hand.
"The doctor said Chengcheng can only eat light meals. I just bought breakfast. Do you want to try some?"
Fu Jingheng nodded, "Okay."
As he said that, he thanked the doctor and followed her into the ward.
The agent and the nurse had left, and Fu Yicheng was still sleeping. His fever had temporarily subsided, but his face was still a little pale.
It was the first time that Fu Jingheng saw his son so weak. Fu Yicheng had been weak since birth, otherwise Shen Hanxing would not have given up the company and taken care of the family with peace of mind.
Over the years, whenever Fu Yicheng fell ill, it was Shen Hanxing who treated him.
He would occasionally visit the hospital, but that was always when Fu Yicheng was in good spirits, so he always thought that there was nothing wrong with his son, and it was just that Shen Hanxing wanted him to show up and was deliberately bluffing.
Although Fu Yicheng looks fragile now, he feels that the problem is not serious. As long as he no longer has a fever, he can be discharged from the hospital in the afternoon.
Xie Ruxin opened the breakfast and set it out. "Actually, Chengcheng is very easy to take care of. He also hopes that I can always take care of him."
Fu Jingheng took the chopsticks she gave him, lowered his eyes and thought for a moment, "Well, thank you for your hard work."
Xie Ruxin shook her head. "I treat Chengcheng as my own son, how could I feel it was hard?"
Fu Jingheng was instantly moved and couldn’t help but compare her with Shen Hanxing.
After Shen Hanxing took care of the child, whenever she saw him coming, she would always ridicule him for not caring about the child's life or death, and she didn't think about the fact that he was also very tired from work.
Xie Ruxin, however, could understand him better and took care of his face.
He looked at the sleeping Fu Yicheng again and sighed in his heart.
It seems that he should talk to the company's legal department about the divorce.
“Xinxin!”
The agent knocked on the door and then pushed it open and walked in.
"I finally found you. I made dozens of calls. I thought you were missing!"
"Um, Mr. Fu is here too."
Agent Cao Yun smiled awkwardly.
Fu Jingheng frowned, "What's the matter?"
Xie Ruxin immediately said, "Sister Cao, please put everything aside. I want to focus on taking care of Chengcheng these days."
Cao Yun's face was full of helplessness. "I want to do it too, but this is the heroine-led drama you've been eyeing for last year. If you're selected, it won't be a problem for you to become a top star."
Paused.
She looked troubled. "If you give up, I'm afraid..."
Xie Ruxin's eyes instantly turned red.
She seemed to have gone through an extremely painful struggle before making this difficult decision.
"Sister Cao, stop talking. Chengcheng is so sick and needs me so much. I can't leave."
Fu Jingheng was very satisfied.
In the past, when he first asked Chen Hanxing to stay at home full-time, Chen Hanxing would just make trouble with him.
But Xie Ruxin is different. Her career is booming now, but she still wants to give up for Chengcheng. No one can compare to this kind of intention.
Sister Cao glanced at Fu Jingheng, and then her acting skills broke out, and she was heartbroken, "My little ancestor, are you crazy? If you don't fight, what will happen to us? Will we still be able to pay our wages?"
Xie Ruxin seemed unable to bear this kind of mental torture and cried with her hands covering her face.
She cried softly and the angle was practiced in advance, which could arouse the man's desire to protect her.
