Chapter 440 I Don’t Want Everything You Do
At three o'clock in the morning, Han Lingcui was awakened by a series of rapid knocks on the door.
When she got out of bed and put on her clothes, the old injury on her right leg began to ache again.
Seeing Shen Hanxing's red face from the cold through the peephole, she was stunned for a few seconds before opening the door.
"Has she looked for you?" Han Lingcui stepped aside to let her in and handed her a cup of hot water.
Shen Hanxing's hand holding the cup was still shaking. She put the phone on the coffee table: "What is this?"
Han Lingcui looked at the medical record and his fingertips suddenly began to tremble.
"It's fake." Han Lingcui's voice was soft, but it was filled with unquestionable determination. "Just like the car accident five years ago, it was all her doing."
But even if this is fake.
But Han Lingcui knew very well that her condition was not very good.
certainly.
She also suspected that she might be suffering from depression.
But when she could adjust herself, she did not go to the hospital.
Now this fake list sounded an alarm in her mind.
Shen Hanxing looked up suddenly and saw the tears in her eyes.
I probably understood something, so I didn't ask any further questions about the checklist.
“Xunxun…” Chen Hanxing opened his mouth, wanting to ask something, but swallowed it back.
"Xunxun is my only bottom line."
Han Lingcui interrupted her, his eyes falling on the snow outside the window. "Back then, that woman wanted to kill me, and she had no intention of killing Xunxun. Now, it's even more impossible for her to truly do good for Xunxun."
"Does Xuanyuan Pavilion know?" she asked.
Han Lingcui shook his head. "That's his biological mother. He might be able to tell. Or maybe he just doesn't want to believe it. Anyway, I won't believe him."
"Han Xing, I already regard you as Xunxun's biological mother. Don't worry, I will help you remove these obstacles, no, all obstacles that will delay Xunxun from becoming your son!"
Just then, Han Lingcui's cell phone suddenly rang. It was an unfamiliar number.
She pressed the answer button, and Xunxun's crying voice came from the receiver: "Mom... I'm scared..."
Han Lingcui's heart tightened instantly: "Xunxun? Where are you?"
"He's with me." Jiang Shutong's voice was filled with a smug smile.
"Han Lingcui, if you want the child to be safe, come to the abandoned factory in the western suburbs alone. Remember, don't tell anyone, especially Xuanyuan Pavilion."
The moment the call was hung up, Han Lingcui grabbed her coat and rushed out. Shen Hanxing grabbed her.
"You can't go! She's a trap!"
"I know it's a trap." Han Lingcui looked back at her, without a trace of hesitation in his eyes, "But I have to go."
Chen Hanxing looked at her staggering but resolute back, suddenly grabbed his phone and dialed Xuanyuan Pavilion's number.
I don't know when the snow outside the window stopped. The moon came out from the clouds, illuminating the unmelted snow on the ground, like a layer of broken glass.
…
The iron gate of the abandoned factory was locked with an iron chain, and icicles formed on the rusty railings.
When Han Lingcui pushed open the door, her ankle twisted on the icy ground, and a piercing pain came from the old injury.
The factory was empty, with only a dim chandelier swaying.
Xunxun was indeed brought here, but she did not suffer. Now she was sitting on the chair, and when she saw her coming, tears suddenly welled up in her eyes.
"Let him go." Han Lingcui's voice echoed in the empty factory.
Jiang Shutong walked out from the shadows, followed by two men in black suits.
She was playing with the recorder in her hand, with a confident smile on her face: "Hand over the backup in your hand, and I will let you and your son go."
"Do you think I will still believe you?" Han Lingcui sneered.
"You have to believe it even if you don't."
Jiang Shutong waved her hand, and one of the men took out a dagger and put it against Xunxun's neck. "Three minutes left. Either hand over the backup, or watch your son..."
"Stop!" Han Lingcui pulled a USB drive from his pocket. "I'll give it to you, but you have to let him go first."
Jiang Shutong signaled the man to untie Xunxun's rope.
The child immediately threw himself into Han Lingcui's arms, shaking all over like a sieve.
"Auntie, I'm scared." He said with a sob.
"Don't be afraid, Auntie is here and will protect you."
Han Lingcui squatted down and hugged him, whispering quickly in his ear, "When you hear any noise, run to the door. Your mother is waiting for you outside."
She threw the USB drive to Jiang Shutong and watched her inspect the goods with a satisfied smile on her face.
"Han Lingcui, you're still so stupid." Jiang Shutong put the USB drive in her pocket. "Do you think you can survive if you let him go?"
Two men immediately surrounded him.
Han Lingcui pushed Xunxun behind him and said, "Run!"
Xunxun was stunned for a moment, then turned around and ran towards the door.
Jiang Shutong didn't expect her to do this and shouted angrily, "Stop him!"
At this moment, the rolling door of the factory was suddenly opened, and the dazzling car lights shone in. Xuanyuan Pavilion's car rushed in like a beast and slammed into the two men.
He jumped out of the car, holding a steel pipe in his hand, and his eyes were so fierce as if he wanted to eat someone.
"Mom, you are really stubborn." Xuanyuan Ge's voice was as cold as ice.
Jiang Shutong looked at her son who suddenly appeared, then looked at Xunxun who ran out the door, and suddenly burst into hysterical laughter.
"Are you still stubborn? I'm doing this for you! For the Xuanyuan family!" She took out her cell phone.
"None of you can leave! I've already called the police. They're alleging Han Lingcui kidnapped a child, resisted arrest, and assaulted a police officer!"
Han Lingcui suddenly smiled. She took out another recorder from her pocket and pressed the play button.
Jiang Shutong's voice came from inside: "...Hand over the backup in your hand...Three minutes left...Or you can watch your son..."
"Do you think I only have one backup copy?" Han Lingcui walked towards her. "For the past five years, I've been waiting for this day every day."
Jiang Shutong's face turned pale in an instant. She rushed over to grab the recorder, but was stopped by Xuanyuan Ge.
"That's enough."
He looked at his mother, his eyes full of disappointment, "I know everything you did."
The sound of sirens came from far away.
Jiang Shutong looked at the policemen surrounding her and suddenly collapsed to the ground, muttering to herself.
"I'm doing this for Ge'er... I'm doing this for the Xuanyuan family..."
Han Lingcui stood at the factory door holding Xunxun, and the early morning sun shone on them through the mist.
She suddenly felt that her knees didn't hurt as much, perhaps because the sun was too warm, or perhaps because the man next to her was wrapping her and her son tightly in his coat.
"Lingcui," Xuanyuan Ge's voice was nasal, "I'm sorry, I'm late."
Han Lingcui didn't look back, but just said "hmm" softly.
The distant skyline was turning pale as the snow began to melt, revealing the moist soil underneath.
Xunxun fell asleep in her arms, half a piece of chocolate tightly clenched in her little hand.
Han Lingcui bent down and kissed his son's forehead, then looked at Xuanyuan Pavilion beside him.
There were bloodshot eyes and blue stubble on his chin, but when he looked at her, his eyes seemed to be filled with stars.
"Your mother doesn't seem like someone who would set up such a clumsy scheme. Xuanyuan Ge, do you still think things are that simple?"
