Qin Xiaoran lowered her head nervously, her body involuntarily pressing closer to Ye Feng.
She felt her heart pounding so hard it was about to burst out of her chest.
Suddenly, her back accidentally bumped into the clothes hanger, making a soft "creak" sound.
The sudden sound was particularly jarring in the quiet room.
"who?!"
Mr. Sun's voice suddenly rose.
Li Mei screamed in fright, "Ah! Someone's there!"
Ye Feng knew inwardly that something was wrong.
"Who's there?! Come out!" General Manager Sun shouted sternly.
Qin Xiaoran was so ashamed that she wished she could disappear into the ground.
She kept her eyes tightly shut, not daring to look at Ye Feng.
Ye Feng felt Qin Xiaoran trembling, so he gently patted her hand to reassure her not to be afraid.
He shouted loudly to the outside world, "Shut up if you don't want things to escalate!"
After he finished speaking, he came out from behind the coat rack.
Mr. Sun looked puzzled and sized Ye Feng up and down.
Who are you? What are you doing here?
As the highest-ranking leader of the security department, he didn't even recognize Ye Feng.
Ye Feng chuckled and asked in return, "What does Mr. Sun think I'm doing here?"
Ye Feng's composure made President Sun even more suspicious. He narrowed his eyes and looked behind the coat rack: "Is there someone else behind there?"
Qin Xiaoran's heart was pounding.
She understood what Ye Feng meant by those words.
This is an implication that she is playing the role of a couple.
She pretended to tidy her clothes and slowly walked out from behind the coat rack.
Li Mei's eyes widened in shock: "Qin Xiaoran? What are you doing here?"
Qin Xiaoran lowered her head, too ashamed to look at anyone.
"My girlfriend and I are here, is there a problem?"
Ye Feng put his arm around Qin Xiaoran's shoulder, his tone ambiguous.
He turned to look at Li Mei and General Manager Sun, his eyes sharp: "But how do you explain Manager Li and the married General Manager Sun, a man and a woman alone in a room?"
Li Mei opened her mouth, but couldn't say anything.
Mr. Sun was also stunned, not expecting Ye Feng to turn the tables on him.
Ye Feng suddenly raised his voice: "Should I send this video to the leaders for them to watch?"
He held up his phone, and the screen displayed a picture of the two of them being intimate just moments before.
Qin Xiaoran looked at Ye Feng in shock.
She never expected that Ye Feng would record a video under such circumstances.
Li Mei's face turned deathly pale instantly.
If this video gets out, she's finished.
Mr. Sun was the first to react. He rushed towards Ye Feng and reached out to snatch the phone: "Hand over the phone!"
"Don't move!" Ye Feng warned coldly. "What if I accidentally send the video out?"
Before Mr. Sun's fist could even touch Ye Feng, Ye Feng grabbed it with his backhand and twisted it forcefully.
Mr. Sun winced in pain and let out a muffled groan.
"Mr. Sun!"
Li Mei exclaimed in surprise and wanted to go forward to help, but she was so frightened by Ye Feng's cold gaze that she dared not move.
"Let him go!"
Ye Feng sneered: "President Sun, you'd better consider your own strength before resorting to violence."
He increased the pressure on his hand slightly, and Mr. Sun winced in pain.
Mr. Sun's eyes flickered. He could tell that Ye Feng was exceptionally skilled, and that he wouldn't gain any advantage in a direct confrontation.
He changed the subject of the negotiation: "Young man, let's talk this out. Why resort to violence?"
Ye Feng released President Sun, clapped his hands as if brushing off something dirty.
"Is Mr. Sun willing to talk now?"
He pulled up a chair, sat down leisurely, glanced at Li Mei and President Sun, and finally fixed his gaze on Qin Xiaoran, his tone softening: "Xiaoran, you sit down too."
Ye Feng withdrew his gaze and looked at President Sun: "My request is very simple. I can delete the video, but you must guarantee that Xiao Ran will not be affected in any way in the future."
Mr. Sun hesitated for a moment and looked at Li Mei.
Li Mei's face was pale, and she gritted her teeth: "I...I won't make things difficult for her."
Ye Feng smiled slightly and looked at President Sun: "Where is President Sun?"
After weighing the pros and cons, General Manager Sun finally compromised: "I guarantee that this matter will end here."
Ye Feng nodded, deleted the video in front of them, and then handed his phone to President Sun: "Check it."
Mr. Sun took the phone, checked it carefully, and only after confirming that the video had indeed been deleted did he return the phone to Ye Feng.
After the exchange, Mr. Sun began to have doubts about Ye Feng's identity.
"May I have your name?"
Ye Feng remained calm and smiled composedly: "Mr. Sun, my name is Chen Yuhao, I'm in the equipment business. I'm Xiaoran's boyfriend."
He spoke naturally and fluently: "I heard that Xiao Ran encountered some trouble at the company. I originally wanted to find out about the situation from the two leaders, but I didn't expect to run into this incident."
Mr. Sun stared at him for a while before slowly saying, "Since it's a misunderstanding, let's leave it at that. You can leave now."
Ye Feng nodded slightly, then pulled Qin Xiaoran to her feet and left.
Qin Xiaoran followed behind Ye Feng until they walked out of the finance office before letting out a long sigh of relief.
She glanced at Ye Feng beside her and exclaimed sincerely, "You're amazing! You weren't nervous at all in front of President Sun and Manager Li."
Ye Feng gave a wry smile and said in a low voice, "I'm actually quite flustered, afraid they'll see through my disguise."
He turned his head and looked at Qin Xiaoran seriously, "Tomorrow at the company, you also have to pretend that you don't know anything, and don't give yourself away."
Qin Xiaoran nodded solemnly.
"Let me take you home." Ye Feng looked at Qin Xiaoran with worry in his eyes. "I'm worried about you going home alone. What if that Chen Yuhao comes looking for trouble again?"
