Ye Feng glanced coldly at the security manager, then turned to Qi Xue and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"
After confirming that she was alright, he grabbed the security manager by the collar, lifted him off the ground, and punched him mercilessly.
The security manager groaned, and blood immediately gushed from his nose.
Ye Feng didn't stop, landing punch after punch on the security manager.
Qi Xue watched from the side, her face turning pale with fright, yet she dared not step forward to stop them.
The security manager was beaten so badly that he could only curl up on the ground and groan in pain.
Ye Feng grabbed his collar and asked sternly, "Do you dare to harass her again?"
The security manager spat out a mouthful of blood and glared at him fiercely: "You dare hit me? You just wait, I won't let you get away with this!"
Qi Xue snapped out of her daze and quickly grabbed Ye Feng's arm, whispering, "Ye Feng, stop it, don't fight anymore."
She was afraid that Ye Feng would get into trouble because of this.
Ye Feng kicked the security manager out the door.
"Get out! If I ever see you near her again, I'll break your legs!"
The security manager scrambled to his feet, pointed at Ye Feng and made some threats, then limped away.
Ye Feng closed the door and turned to look at Qi Xue.
Qi Xue then noticed the scrapes on Ye Feng's hands and asked with concern, "What happened to your hands?"
Ye Feng looked at her and his tone softened: "It's nothing, just a minor injury."
Qi Xue looked at him and asked softly, "Why are you here?"
Ye Feng was speechless for a moment.
He originally wanted to thank Qi Xue for testifying for him, but the words wouldn't come out.
He was afraid that Qi Xue would misunderstand him and think that he had come to repay her.
Ye Feng's silence allowed Qi Xue to see through his thoughts.
She couldn't help but laugh: "What kind of dream are you having? I'm way past the age of offering myself up to a hero who saves a damsel in distress. Even if I dared, you wouldn't dare to take me."
Ye Feng scratched his head awkwardly and grinned sheepishly.
Qi Xue's smile faded, and she asked seriously, "Have you and Liu Qingyi... explained things clearly?"
Ye Feng shook his head: "There's nothing to explain."
"Then what are you doing here?" Qi Xue's voice was low.
"I've come to thank you," Ye Feng finally revealed the purpose of his trip.
Qi Xue understood.
It turned out he had only come to express his gratitude.
Her spirits plummeted, and all her expectations vanished.
"Then you can leave." Qi Xue's voice was devoid of any emotion.
Ye Feng looked at her, opened his mouth, but said nothing.
He turned and left Qi Xue's house.
In the corridor, only Qi Xue's lonely figure remained.
She slowly closed the door, leaned against it, and tears silently streamed down her face.
She can't have this man.
The phone rang abruptly, interrupting Ye Feng's thoughts.
He picked up his phone and saw that the caller ID showed Liu Zhengfei.
"Hey, Zhengfei."
"Are you alright? I heard about what happened at the police station. Do you need any help?"
Ye Feng rubbed his temples. "It's nothing, just a minor incident. It's been resolved."
"That's good. Fengzi, let me tell you, although my old man doesn't manage things, if he wants to deal with that big shareholder of the club, it's just a matter of a word." Liu Zhengfei said boldly.
Ye Feng smiled wryly; Liu Zhengfei was always so enthusiastic.
"Never mind, no need to trouble the old man."
"Alright, you handle it yourself. Just let me know if you need anything, I'm always here for you!"

The two chatted for a few more minutes before hanging up the phone.
Ye Feng put down his phone and leaned wearily against the sofa.
He closed his eyes, and Qi Xue's lonely figure lingered in his mind.
He recalled the disappointment in Qi Xue's eyes, and a sharp pain shot through his heart.
But he really only saw her as a younger sister.
Around five o'clock, Liu Qingyi returned.
She took off her high heels, walked into the living room, and found that Ye Feng was not preparing dinner.
"Why didn't you cook today? Did you have a business dinner?"
Liu Qingyi's tone was flat, revealing no emotion.
"Yes, I need to go to the hospital." Ye Feng stood up.
"The hospital? What happened?" Liu Qingyi frowned slightly, her eyes flashing with concern.
Ye Feng hesitated for a moment, but decided to tell the truth, "I'm picking up my godmother from the hospital."
Liu Qingyi was stunned. "Godmother? When did you get a godmother?"
Ye Feng noticed Liu Qingyi's misunderstanding and quickly explained, "She is my comrade-in-arms' mother. I have always regarded her as my godmother."
Liu Qingyi finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She secretly blamed herself for being too suspicious.
"Since you're someone important to me, and I happen to be free, let's go together."
Ye Feng was somewhat surprised, but then a surge of joy welled up inside him.
He didn't expect Liu Qingyi to offer to go together.
"Then let's hurry up and set off, don't keep them waiting," Liu Qingyi urged.
Liu Qingyi looked Ye Feng up and down, then frowned slightly. "You should go change your clothes."
Ye Feng looked down at his casual clothes and felt that something was amiss.
He nodded, turned around and went back to his room to change his clothes.
After tidying up briefly, Ye Feng and Liu Qingyi went out together.
On the way to the hospital, Liu Qingyi sat in the passenger seat, skillfully touching up her makeup.
Ye Feng glanced in the rearview mirror and knew that she wanted to leave a good impression on her godmother.
He smiled slightly and started the car.
"What does my godmother like?" Liu Qingyi put down the powder compact and asked casually.
"Grandpa, I'm not picky. It's the thought that counts."
